Feng Bai was shocked as he looked at the earl token in his hands, examining its authenticity again and again. After a while, he finally confirmed that it was a genuine earl token of the Azure Dragon Empire.

"Just how the hell did you get this?" Feng Bai was almost shaking due to shock. His first thought was that Feng Yun had stolen someone’s earl token, or maybe someone lost it, and his son found it accidentally.

"Father, it is mine and it is a genuine token. Why would I lie to you about such an important matter? My master got it for me." Feng Yun decided to dump the blame on the illusionary master he never had.

When Feng Bai heard this, he fell silent. He couldn’t help but feel awe toward Feng Yun’s master, after knowing that his master has dealing with the Royal Clan.

"Father, how is the current strength of the clan?" Feng Yun asked curiously.

"Thanks to the resources you provided, our strength has increased by a great margin. However, we still can’t defeat the City Lord’s clan. The City Lord’s clan has two Soul Refining Realm cultivators, while we didn’t have any Soul Refining Realm cultivator." Feng Bai said in serious tone.

"Soul Refining Realm. Wasn’t the strong power in the Maple Leaf City was only Core Formation Realm." Feng Yun was surprised by the words of Feng Bai and asked. According to the memory, the strongest cultivator in the Maple Leaf City was only Core Formation realm cultivator.

"It is not known by public, but the city lord’s faction has two soul refining realm cultivators." Feng Bai said again.

’Well, this is problematic.’ Feng Yun thought.

The highest cultivation in Feng Clan is only Core Formation Realm, without the support of Soul Refining Realm cultivator going against the city lord would be disastrous. Although he broke through the core formation realm, unbeatable below soul refining realm, but he didn’t know if he would fight Soul Refining Realm or not. Unless he was sure of his victory, he would not initiate the war which will cause casualty in the clan.

"But Feng Yun, you don’t have to overly worried now, your grandfather has been stuck on the peak of Core Formation Realm for quite some time, couldn’t break through the Soul Refining Realm due to lack of resources, but now he has chance to take that step thanks to you. Once your second grandfather breakthrough the Soul Refining Realm, we don’t fear the city lord." Feng Bai assured Feng Yun with a smile.

Feng Yun nodded lightly. He knew that it was not easy to increase the cultivation rapidly at this stage. He couldn’t help but ponder how to increase the clan’s overall strength rapidly. Normal treasures couldn’t increase their realm in a few days, he had to buy some rare treasures from the system store which could directly raise the cultivation by big margin.

The faint humming of a girl singing a song woke up Feng Yun. Feng Yun yawned as he woke up.

First, he was though that the voice was coming from outside but found it was coming from his house. Other than his father, Li Shixin, and his caretaker Wang Huan no other person enters his courtyard.

Getting up off the bed, he walked out of the room and followed the voice. The voice was coming from his garden, which further invoked interest. He quietly entered his study room.

Upon entering his room, he saw the back of a young girl, she was watering the plants while singing a song and dancing in between. She looked an energetic spirit who was enjoying the moment.

Feng Yun decided not to stop her as he watched her with interest.

"Did father hire a new maid for me?" Feng Yun thought inwardly, she was wearing maid’s clothes, so he made this assumption. There were many young maids in the clan, he was familiar with all the people residing in the clan, including the servants and guards. But he had never seen her before. He didn’t sense any spiritual energy from her, not a cultivator.

Feng Yun walked behind her and "Boo!"

"Ahhh.. wha...?" The girl jumped in fright with a scream. She hastily turned around. She saw a handsome young man standing in front of her, her maiden heart skipped a beat upon seeing the young man’s charm. She hurriedly composed herself and asked, "Who are you?"

"Who are you? What are you doing here?" Feng Yun inspected the young girl from top to bottom and asked curiously. This girl was around 16 to 17 years old, with lustrous black hair, black eyes, a slender figure, and a beautiful baby face. Overall, she was quite beautiful girl but less than Su Mei and Long Mingxi.

"Who are you? What are you doing in my house?" Seeing the stunned expression of the girl, he asked again.

"Your house.. You are young master Feng Yun." The girl stammered in surprise, she took a moment to digest the information and reacted.

"Greeting young master, my name is Wang Ruo. I am the daughter of Wang Huan. My mother is ill, so I’m fulfilling her place." Wang Ruo bowed and said. She couldn’t help but curse inwardly for not being careful. She couldn’t help but become a little anxious. What if he was angered by her attitude and decided to punish her.

"Oh," Feng Yun nodded lightly. He didn’t know that his caretaker Wang Huan had a daughter. She never mentioned her daughter to him. Of course, he would not believe her completely until he verifies her identity.

He asked again, "So what happened to Aunt Wang Huan?"

’Fortunately, he doesn’t look angered.’ Wang Ruo thought inwardly. Her beating heart calmed down a little.

"Umm, not serious, mother has a light fever." Wang Ruo said while avoiding eye contact. She couldn’t possibly tell him that her mother’s condition improved days ago, but she persuaded her mother to take a rest so she could enjoy living in Feng Yun’s house.

Without Feng Yun this courtyard was empty she didn’t have to do much either except for some cleaning, the rest of the time, she would treat this courtyard like it belonged to her. Wang Ruo nodded and proceed to tell him about herself.

"Well, that is it for now, do you know how to make tea." A few minutes later, Feng Yun ended the conversation and said.

"Yes, Young Master." Wang Ruo said.

"Good, I am going to have a bath, meanwhile prepare some breakfast." Feng Yun said before going to the bathroom.
