Chapter 98: Pre-selling Through the Roofs!

June 3rd, 2025.Inside the operations room of TG Motors Philippines headquarters in Bonifacio Global City, the atmosphere was electric. Screens lined the walls, each one showing live dashboards of sales analytics, heat maps, and regional order breakdowns.

Executives and analysts moved in a hurried rhythm. The numbers were rising faster than anyone had projected.

"Sir," said Paolo, the IT Director, "we’ve crossed one hundred thousand pre-orders as of 9:15 a.m.—and it’s still climbing."

Timothy turned from the panoramic glass window, coffee in hand, and walked toward the central table where multiple monitors displayed real-time graphs. "Break it down by country," he said.

Hana, standing beside him with her tablet, was already several steps ahead. "As of the latest timestamp, here’s what we have," she said, scrolling down her screen.

"Philippines — 41,520 units.

Thailand — 26,300 units.

Malaysia — 18,450 units.

Indonesia — 14,280 units.

Singapore — 9,870 units."

Across the room, one of the marketing staff raised a hand. "Sir, the most requested model is the TG Atmos, followed by the Vortex SUV and Valkyrie pickup. People love the range and affordability. The hashtags on TikTok and Instagram have exploded, over fifty million combined views under #TGMotorsPH."

Angela Cruz appeared on the Singapore screen again, her background showing the bustling floor of TG Mobility’s Southeast Asia headquarters. "Timothy, the numbers here are phenomenal. You’ve broken every regional record for pre-launch vehicle reservations. Even Toyota and BYD never saw these figures for Southeast Asia within the first week."

She zoomed her chart in on the feed. "Thailand is reporting overwhelming consumer interest. Major auto reviewers are calling it ’the EV that redefines Southeast Asia’s market balance.’ Even Malaysia’s Motoring Times ran a headline this morning, ’TG Motors Steals the Electric Crown.’"

Timothy set his coffee down. "Are we getting inquiries from dealerships?"

"Yes, sir," Hana replied. "We’ve received over one hundred dealership partnership requests from the Philippines alone. Thailand and Malaysia are sending proposals through regional offices. Even a few large fleet buyers are asking for bulk orders for government and corporate use."

"Government?" Timothy asked.

Hana nodded. "Thailand’s Ministry of Transport sent an inquiry. They’re exploring fleet electrification using TG Atmos and Vortex models. Same goes for Malaysia’s Department of Energy—they want to test our vehicles for long-range patrol and logistics operations."

Angela smiled faintly from the Singapore screen. "Looks like we’re becoming the Tesla of Southeast Asia, Timothy."

He chuckled softly. "No. Tesla is global. We’re regional, for now."

Everyone in the room exchanged approving glances.

By midday, TG Motors’ website traffic had surged again. Servers briefly slowed under the weight of tens of thousands of visitors clicking through virtual configurators, customizing paint schemes, and comparing specs.

A projection appeared on the central display—an animated line graph climbing so steeply it almost looked surreal.

"Sir," said Paolo, typing rapidly, "based on current patterns, we’re averaging one pre-order every seven seconds."

"Pre-orders from Singapore just doubled," Hana added. "Apparently, their tech community is fascinated by the LithiumX battery. Tech bloggers are calling it the ’10-Minute Miracle Cell.’ They’re saying we’ve solved every major limitation EVs ever had."

Timothy exhaled slowly. "And we have."

He looked at the growing chart again, numbers rolling upward like stock tickers.

"Angela, how’s media response in Singapore?"

Angela switched her camera view, showing a news feed playing in the background. "CNA, Bloomberg, and Reuters Asia all aired features this morning. You’ve become the centerpiece of the ASEAN tech narrative. The TG Helios and Valkyrie are trending keywords across search engines. Even property developers are using TG Motors’ success as an indicator of Philippine industrial confidence."

Timothy nodded. "That’s the kind of ripple effect I wanted to see."

Later that afternoon, a smaller briefing was held with the C-executives. Hana projected the updated order heatmap on the conference screen.

Bright red clusters lit up across Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Cebu, and Manila—the hotspots of pre-sale activity.

"This," Hana said, "is what a movement looks like."

Samantha Estolas, the Chief Operating Officer of TG Motors, began. "Subic Gigafactory will have to accelerate its assembly readiness. At this rate, the six-month production forecast needs revision."

"We’ll double the construction crews and have them work 24/7 to make sure the gigafactory is built in 2026."

Akira Sato, CTO of the TG Mobility Holdings, added from the screen, "We can tap our contacts from Taiwan and South Korea for battery pack assembly support. The LithiumX cells can be scaled faster if we open one auxiliary assembly line in Malaysia. I’ll start the feasibility paperwork."

"Do what you must but still protect our proprietary. We are the first of the kind to have this battery with this specs. We don’t want it falling to our rivals," Timothy said.

"Now let’s talk about the partnership contracts from domestic and abroad. Ayala reached out to us right?"

Carlos, the CEO of TG Motors Philippines, spoke. "They have reached out to us as they have my numbers. They are willing to offer distribution support through their automotive network," Carlos continued, glancing at his notes. "They proposed to handle sales and servicing in major urban centers — Makati, Cebu, and Davao — under a joint dealership agreement."

Timothy nodded thoughtfully. "Accept, but only under our terms. TG Motors remains the face of the brand. Ayala will act as a logistics and retail facilitator, not a co-owner."

Carlos smiled. "Understood, sir. They’ll cooperate once we finalize the regional rollout timeline."

Angela spoke next from Singapore. "Our team is also negotiating with Sime Darby in Malaysia and Indomobil in Indonesia for localized distribution. Both are eager to secure exclusivity for their respective territories. It seems everyone wants to be part of TG’s success."
