173: Have you considered a vulnerability?

The blazing sun crystal, emitting terrifying high temperatures, was less than an inch from Su Lin’s forehead.

The crimson light illuminated Su Lin’s slightly pale face.

Su Hongling was straddling him, her eyes shining, looking like a cook eager to stamp a red mark on a freshly baked bun.

“Wait a minute.”

Su Lin looked at the glowing red stone, forcing himself to remain calm.

“Hong Ling, this master understands that you want to stamp it to declare your ownership.

But, have you considered a loophole?”

“A loophole?”

Su Hongling paused, the scorching stone hovering in mid-air. She tilted her head, her eyes filled with clear stupidity.

“What loophole? This stone is a fire essence that has existed for ten thousand years; once it’s printed, it definitely won’t come off!

It’s much more reliable than Fifth Junior Brother’s Devilish Qi and Third Junior Sister’s poisonous blood!”

“It’s not about the stone.”

Su Lin sighed and patiently guided her, “Look at the character carved on this stone, what is it?”

“Su!” Su Hongling said righteously, “I carved it for a long time! Look at the brushstrokes, how domineering!”

“Yes, it’s Su.”

Su Lin looked at her and said helplessly, “But, is there a possibility… your surname is Su, and my surname is also Su.”

Su Hongling blinked, seemingly not having reacted yet.

Su Lin continued to press his point, “If you carve the character ‘Su’ on my forehead, others will only think it’s my own surname, Su Lin.

Who would associate it with you, Su Hongling’s person?”

“If I walk out later and someone points at my forehead and says:

‘Look, this Fellow Daoist Su is truly unique, afraid of forgetting his surname, he even specially carved it on his forehead.’

Do you want to see that kind of outcome?”

“…”

Su Hongling was stunned.

Her walnut-sized brain capacity began to operate rapidly.

Su Lin’s surname is Su, and my surname is also Su.

Carving ‘Su’ really does seem like I’m helping him write his name?

“Holy crap!”

Su Hongling suddenly reacted, her face filled with shock, “Old Man, you’re right!

Wouldn’t I become a craftsman running errands to carve a monument for you?! That won’t do! That’s too much of a loss!”

She angrily ruffled her messy red hair, and the blazing sun crystal in her hand swung wildly with her movements, almost scalding Su Lin’s nose several times.

“Then what should I do?!”

She stared at Su Lin’s forehead in distress, gesturing back and forth.

“Just one character isn’t enough… then carve the full name?”

“Su, Hong, Ling…”

She extended her dirty finger and made a few imaginary strokes on Su Lin’s smooth forehead.

“No way! These three characters have too many strokes!”

She looked at Su Lin’s face with disdain, muttering, “Old Man, why is your forehead so stingy?

It’s not big enough! If I carve these three characters, they’ll go below your eyebrows! Then you’ll look like a painted cat, so ugly!”

Su Lin: “…”

Thank you for disliking my small forehead.

“Then… carve the character ‘Hong’?”

Su Hongling thought for a moment, then shook her head, “Too vulgar, like a sign for a brothel.”

“Carve ‘Ling’?”

“The strokes are too dense; it would look like a blob of ink, also not good.”

The more she thought, the more irritable she became. The frustration of wanting to mark but being unable to find a suitable symbol drove her crazy.

“Ahhh! So annoying! So annoying!”

Su Hongling let out a furious scream and backhanded the precious blazing sun crystal, which was capable of being refined into an Immortal Artifact, throwing it out with force.

“Hiss.”

The scorching crystal smashed into the accumulated snow in the corner of the ice rock, instantly releasing a burst of white mist and melting a bottomless hole.

“I don’t want it anymore! Useless stone! It’s not good at all!”

She turned her head, pouting, and looked back at Su Lin.

Su Lin was about to breathe a sigh of relief, thinking he had finally escaped a calamity.

But the next second, his heart tightened again.

Because Su Hongling’s gaze had changed.

In those red pupils, while the fanaticism of holding a branding iron was gone, a more primal, more dangerous bestiality had emerged.

She slowly leaned down, her hands propped on either side of Su Lin’s ears, trapping him beneath her.

Her small, baby-fat face was very close, so close that Su Lin could see the fine fuzz on her face and the two sharp, snowy white canine teeth in her slightly open mouth.

“Since writing won’t work…”

She extended her pink tongue, licked a sharp tooth, and her voice became a little muffled, as if she was holding a piece of candy, or staring at a piece of meat.

“Then I’ll use the most primitive method.”

“Old Man, do you know how wild beasts mark their territory?”

Su Lin’s alarm bells rang loudly, “Hong Ling, calm down. This master is a human, not territory…”

“Shut up!”

Su Hongling didn’t listen at all.

She reached out a hand and very roughly pinched Su Lin’s chin, forcing him to lift his head, revealing his slender, pale neck.

There, the mandarava flower mark left by Luo Ximei and Chu Weiwei’s Moonlight Vine were still intertwined.

Su Hongling looked at the two marks, a hint of disdain flashing in her eyes.

“Flashy… that’s something only women play with.”

“I am a Body Cultivator.”

“Body Cultivators go fist to flesh, tooth to blood!”

Before her words finished, she suddenly lowered her head.

She didn’t bite the already occupied collarbone area.

She chose a slightly higher spot—the side of the Adam’s apple, the most violently pulsating and dangerous part of the carotid artery.

“Awoo!”

She bit down.

“Hiss!” Su Lin gasped, his body tensing abruptly.

It hurt!

This girl was really biting!

Unlike Luo Ximei’s lustful sucking, or Chu Weiwei’s purposeful carving.

This was pure, beast-like gnawing.

Her sharp canine teeth pierced the skin, and warm blood instantly oozed out.

Su Hongling didn’t stop. Like a small beast that had tasted blood, she let out a satisfied purring sound from her throat.

She didn’t use spiritual power to heal the wound; instead, she deliberately increased her strength and even ground her teeth from side to side.

She wanted to carve this tooth mark deeply into Su Lin’s flesh, into his bones.

A long while passed.

Not until Su Lin felt half of his neck was numb did Su Hongling release her bite.

She lifted her head, her lips stained with a trace of crimson blood, looking demonic and wild.

“Ptooey.”

She spat out a little blood from her mouth, then, like a bully, she heavily wiped the freshly made, still bleeding tooth mark on Su Lin’s neck with her thumb.

It was a perfect, deep tooth print.

“See?”

Su Hongling pointed at the wound, her face full of pride, her smile arrogant and domineering.

“This is what you call a mark!”

“If anyone dares to look at you again, you just pull open your collar and show them!”

“Tell them, this piece of flesh has already been bitten by Su Hongling!”

“Whoever dares to snatch you, I’ll bite their neck off too!”

Saying this, she still seemed unsatisfied. She leaned closer again, stuck out her tongue, and forcefully licked the still bleeding tooth mark.

“Hmm… a little salty.”

She smacked her lips, then contentedly plopped down on Su Lin’s stomach and clapped her hands.

“Done! Work’s finished!”
