"Will you please change your tune!" Nan Zhisui whispered urgently.

Little Snake Yang and Little Hu Qi poked their heads out curiously.

What are Father Beast and Pretty Older Sister talking about? Does Father Beast really like Pretty Older Sister?

Nan Zhisui said anxiously, "How could you choose me? You're a Male with a Female. Didn't you hear Hu An? A Male with a Female who chooses another Female will be put in a pig cage!"

"Are you worried about me?" White Fox asked, looking down.

Nan Zhisui said, "I'm not, I... I'm a Female, my reputation doesn't matter. Your reputation matters a lot! White Fox, I'm begging you, please change your tune?"

White Fox's expression darkened.

White Fox swept a cold glance over Hu Zi and the others. Seemingly having no interest in staying any longer, he grabbed the Little Cubs who had beaten Hu Qi.

Hu Zi chimed in, "White Fox, these are Hu Li's cubs. Hu Li's temper is much worse than mine. If you provoke her, she'll definitely retaliate. In my opinion, these cubs didn't really do anything wrong. Is an apology really necessary?"

White Fox said, "Only those without a Family, without a tribe, and abandoned by a Female are Wandering Beastmen. If an underage beastman is adopted by a Family, they are not a Wandering Beastman. And this little snake cub happens to have been adopted."

She Yang suddenly looked up.

Nan Zhisui nodded in tacit understanding and patted the little snake's head. "This Little Snake Beastman cub has already been taken in by me. He's my God-cub."

The Fox Beastmen all looked at Nan Zhisui.

A Female is the core of a Family. If a Female speaks up to adopt a beastman cub, the matter is set in stone.

This Little Snake Beastman might have originally been a Cold-Blooded Snake Beastman without a Family, easily bullied by others.

But now that he had a Female to take him in, he had a home. With a home came support and a backbone!

He was no longer a pitiful little wanderer.

Little Snake Yang's tears suddenly fell.

He had been wandering alone in the Beast World for a very long time.

Abandoned, driven away, wandering, and falsely accused, he was homeless and had never felt the warmth of a home.

Now, he had a home!

The female master of his home was the Pretty Older Sister he liked. Pretty Older Sister would give him food, protect him, and praise him.

He liked it so much, he really liked it.

White Fox glanced sideways at Nan Zhisui. What he had thought at the time was that since She Yang had saved Hu Qi's life, he could adopt She Yang himself as a reward.

However, with Nan Zhisui adopting him as a Female, his status would be more secure.

White Fox coughed lightly again. Nan Zhisui looked him up and down, observing his expression. His lung sounds should have improved a lot just now; why did he seem weak again?

Was he faking it?

White Fox said, "Therefore, your claim that She Yang is a Wandering Snake Beastman is invalid. And Hu Qi was not wrong to protect his savior. These Little Fox cubs injured my cub, so I'm only asking for an apology. That's not too much to ask, is it?"

The Little Fox Cubs huddled together.

Father Beast was right. The prettier a Female is, the scarier she is... White Fox carried Hu Qi while Nan Zhisui led She Yang as they walked toward the Cave.

Although Hu Qi and She Yang had sustained many external injuries, both Cubs looked exceptionally happy.

Even though they weren't right next to each other, they were making faces at each other from the safety of the two adults.

Nan Zhisui jogged to catch up with White Fox and looked up to ask, "What did you mean when you said I was your only choice? White Fox, I won't stay here forever. Once your IV drip is finished tomorrow, I'm leaving Stone Village."

White Fox suddenly stopped in his tracks, his snow-white eyes looking straight at her.

"You're leaving? And then what? What about me and Hu Qi?"

Nan Zhisui scratched her head in frustration.

"No, you're my patient, and Hu Qi is my friend. But in the end, you both belong to Stone Village. I'm leaving..."

Nan Zhisui paused before finally saying, "What does it have to do with you?"

Nan Zhisui had no idea how much damage her words caused.

Even though she said that, Hu Zi wasn't actually that interested in pursuing White Fox.
