127: Chapter 127 Ten Thousand Demons Come to Celebrate

Jiang Xun followed Jiang Hongling onto the largest ship in the sky.

The two landed on the deck. Jiang Hongling raised her hand, pointed at the spatial rift that had been opened, and spoke, "Set sail."

Her voice wasn't loud, but it clearly reached the ears of every Blood Fiend Sect Disciple.

Then, Jiang Xun felt the floor beneath his feet vibrate, the spiritual sails flap, and the ship began to move forward.

Countless voices shouting "Set sail!" began to ring out from the various ships behind them.

"Set sail!"

"Set sail!"

"We're setting sail!"

...

As the ship passed through the rift, space was accelerated to the extreme in that instant.

Jiang Xun only felt everything before his eyes being stretched into long, thin lines.

Then, they suddenly tightened.

Like a high-speed moving block of iron suddenly decelerated to zero.

Space seemed to leap, the scenery changing in an instant.

After the view suddenly opened up.

Jiang Xun blinked and saw the scene before him clearly.

Then his breath hitched.

It wasn't Star River Crossing.

There was no dreamlike reflection of a starry sky on the water, nor the romance of a brilliant galaxy filling his vision.

Snowflakes were falling.

Before him was a continuous stretch of high, snowy mountains.

Snow-capped mountains stood one after another, their peaks covered in snow that never melted throughout the year, glowing with a cold, ghostly white under the dim light of the sky.

The cold wind howled, swirling up snow spray that hit his face with a bone-chilling cold.

A strong sense of panic welled up in Jiang Xun's heart.

He turned to look at Jiang Hongling, his voice changing pitch:

"This isn't Star River Crossing."

Jiang Hongling stood by his side, her red dress flapping loudly in the wind and snow.

Like a blooming red plum blossom.

She looked at Jiang Xun, the corner of her mouth curling into an arc.

"Of course this isn't Star River Crossing."

"This is Beishanyuan, the borderland of the Central State near the North Region."

Jiang Xun took a step back.

"Didn't we agree... the wedding would be at Star River Crossing?"

Jiang Hongling took a step forward, closing in on him.

"But I think this place is more suitable."

She reached out her hand and caught a falling snowflake. "Cold mountains and icy snow; as long as you are by my side, even these ten-thousand-foot ice mountains can turn into tenderness."

Jiang Xun opened his mouth, his throat feeling a bit dry and parched.

"But you promised me..."

"I did promise you."

Jiang Hongling interrupted him, her tone matter-of-fact: "But I've changed my mind now. Is that not allowed?"

Jiang Xun was left speechless by her retort.

What could he do?

Scold Jiang Hongling for being untrustworthy? Berate her for not keeping her promise? Question her on what grounds she went back on her word?

"Heh!" Jiang Xun gave a bitter laugh in his heart.

Overestimating himself.

In the face of absolute strength, his anger and grievances were nothing more than a gust of wind that would dissipate as soon as it blew past.

Jiang Xun closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

He could only stay calm now.

His original plan was now completely disrupted.

Star River Crossing had a spatial turbulence that could randomly teleport people to various places in the Five Domains.

Originally, he had thought of using a sound transmission talisman to summon Li Shutang, watch the two tigers fight, and then fish in troubled waters to make his escape.

But now...

It was all ruined.

"But on the invitations you sent out," Jiang Xun made a final struggle, "the address written was Star River Crossing."

"In case those you invited..."

Jiang Hongling smiled and interrupted:

"I carved spatial coordinates into those invitations; they will find their way here."

She explained unhurriedly:

"As for the words inside, they aren't important."

She took another step forward, so close she was almost pressed against him.

"What..." She tilted her head slightly, looking into his eyes. "You don't like the place I chose?"

Jiang Xun looked at her.

A faint smile appeared on that exquisitely beautiful face.

He suddenly understood.

His thoughts had probably been mostly guessed by her long ago.

She saw everything.

She just didn't expose it.

Then, when he thought everything was under control, she gave a gentle push, turning all his plans into a joke.

Jiang Xun lowered his eyes.

"I like it very much," he said, his voice very faint.

Jiang Hongling stepped forward and reached out to hook the belt at his waist.

With a gentle tug, she pulled him close.

The two were pressed together.

"The stars you want, I will satisfy you."

She raised her hand and caressed his face.

"So don't be angry anymore."

Jiang Xun remained silent.

His heart was filled with nothing but immense sorrow.

Why would he care about some stars?

Now, even if he summoned Li Shutang, he had nowhere to run.

With his Foundation Establishment Stage cultivation, he couldn't run far in these vast snowy mountains without the help of spatial teleportation.

Jiang Hongling had blocked all his paths.

Unless he chose to depend on Li Shutang.

But after Yan Qingning and the others, he really couldn't guarantee if Li Shutang would be just like them.

Jiang Hongling pointed to a room not far away. "Go change your clothes."

"I'll wait for you."

Jiang Xun obediently walked into that cabin.

The red wedding attire hung on the rack. He reached out and touched the smooth fabric.

Suddenly, it felt very ironic.

The more he wanted to escape, the more he couldn't.

Now, it seemed he could only accept his fate.

He slowly took off his black casual clothes.

And put on this bright red wedding robe.

Because he had tried it on once, Jiang Xun wasn't unfamiliar with putting it on; he knew which piece went where.

Once he was fully dressed, Jiang Xun looked at himself in the mirror.

It fit perfectly, but despite the festive clothes, he had a bitter expression on his face.

He twitched the corners of his mouth but couldn't manage a smile.

When he walked out of the cabin, Jiang Hongling had already changed into a similar wedding robe.

But what was embroidered on it wasn't gold thread like Jiang Xun's, but black thread, which seemed to better suit her Demonic Path style.

It complemented the cracks on her face perfectly.

Jiang Hongling's long hair was piled high, revealing her slender neck. Only the black horn on her forehead was a bit abrupt.

But she was still extremely beautiful.

Her beauty was something even those flaws couldn't hide.

Jiang Xun only took one look before shifting his gaze away.

The ship began to descend.

Atop a snowy mountain peak, a red light began to glow.

As the ship drew closer, he could see it clearly.

The very peak of that snowy mountain had been sliced off, revealing a massive, level clearing.

On the clearing, a grand red-domed building had been constructed.

Red wood for pillars, red tiles for the roof, red silk for curtains.

In a world of pure white, it was as red as a burning flame.

Even more miraculous was that within the range covered by this building, there wasn't a trace of wind or snow.

The sky above the dome even emitted a faint, warm-colored light, forming a sharp contrast with the surrounding world of ice and snow.

The ship slowly landed.

Led by Jiang Hongling, Jiang Xun walked out of the ship and stepped onto that warm ground.

Beneath his feet were warm stone slabs, around him were red pillars, and above him was the massive red dome.

Jiang Hongling led him, step by step, towards the main hall deep within the dome.

At the deepest part of the main hall, two primary seats were set.

Large red couches covered in soft fur, with two cushions placed side-by-side on top.

Jiang Hongling pulled Jiang Xun to sit down in the primary seats.

Jiang Xun sat there, looking at the empty hall before him.

He wondered who would come later.

Suddenly, a cracking sound came from the sky.

Jiang Xun looked up.

He saw a pitch-black rift appear out of thin air in the sky outside the dome.

Dark light flowed around the edges of the rift, like an opening eye.

A person stepped out of the rift.

A middle-aged man wearing dark green robes with a majestic expression. Behind him followed two Disciples, holding gift boxes in their hands.

He stepped out of the rift, suspended in the air, and cupped his fists toward the main hall.

His voice came rolling in:

"Gu Shentian of the Blood Spirit Gate has come to congratulate the Demon Venerable!"

Just as his voice fell, another cracking sound came from the sky.

Another rift was torn open.

The sounds didn't stop.

Another one, and then another.

Rifts appeared one after another, like a shredded canvas, densely covering the sky.

From every rift, a person stepped out.

Some wore black robes, some wore red shirts, some had disheveled hair, and some wore crowns with their hair bundled.

There were men and women, old and young. But without exception, they all radiated a strong Devilish Qi.

That Devilish Qi soared into the sky, almost threatening to overturn the dome.

"The Xuanyin Sect comes to congratulate!"

"The White Bone Gate comes to congratulate!"

"The Hehuan Sect comes to congratulate!"

"The Soul Devouring Hall comes to congratulate!"

...

Voices rose one after another, surging like a tide.

Jiang Xun sat in the primary seat, watching the rifts tearing the sky, watching the giants of the Demonic Path walking out of them, and watching the Devilish Qi churning on their bodies.

His whole body froze.

Just how many people were invited!?

And every single one of them, judging by the aura they released, had a cultivation of at least the Soul Transformation Stage or higher.

Over a hundred rifts.

Over a hundred demonic forces.

Over a hundred demonic sect masters or high-ranking officials gathered here, all just to congratulate Jiang Hongyuan.

All that Devilish Qi intertwined, almost dyeing this part of the world black.

But after they landed, they all restrained their auras and respectfully bowed toward the main hall.

Jiang Xun suddenly felt very small.

In this scene where ten thousand demons danced, he, a Foundation Establishment Stage Cultivator, was like a lamb that had accidentally wandered into a wolf pack.

Wasn't it said that the Demonic Path had declined and the Immortal Path was powerful? Does this look like a decline?

Jiang Hongling reached out and grasped his hand.

Her hand was warm and she held it very tightly.

Jiang Xun turned to look at her.

A rare tenderness appeared in the depths of Jiang Hongling's eyes as she spoke.

"From now on, we will walk through life hand in hand, never to be separated again."
