3: Chapter 3 Dragon Breath Brew
The sky was gray and hazy, with thick abyssal dust drifting everywhere.
Yun Che had been flying at a low altitude for tens of millions of miles and was now standing on this giant rock.
Looking around, the surroundings were filled with mountain peaks hundreds of thousands of zhang tall. The massive, azure mountain bodies loomed over, blocking out the sky and sun, creating a suffocating sense of oppression.
Before Yun Che was a grand and massive barrier. Inside the barrier was a vast space millions of kilometers long and wide; this was where the Dragon race of the Abyssal World had resided and survived for millions of years.
Because of the existence of the Six Great Divine Kingdoms, the Dragon race had not established a nation, but it was customarily called the "Dragon Domain."
Yun Che followed the outer perimeter of the barrier and found a secluded, uninhabited spot. He raised his hands and brought them together, igniting a cluster of Golden Crow flames and Phoenix flames in his palms, quickly fusing them into a crimson divine flame of immense power.
Then, with a thought, strands of dark light slowly overflowed from his palms.
The moment the dark light touched the crimson divine flame, a ball of black flame rose between his hands.
Yun Che pushed his palms forward, and the black flame flew onto the outer wall of the barrier.
Starting from the center of the flame, circles of black vortexes spread outwards. Everything they touched turned into nothingness; even space itself could not escape.
Soon, a gap large enough for one person to enter appeared on the surface of the barrier.
Yun Che leaped forward and flew inside.
As he withdrew his hands, the gap behind him immediately vanished, and the barrier closed up again.
Yun Che did not leave immediately; instead, he remained in place, perceiving and controlling the abyssal dust within this space.
Inside the barrier, the concentration of abyssal dust was far lower than outside, which required him to spend more time.
About a quarter of an hour later, he began flying forward at a low altitude, heading towards the royal city to the due north—Dragon City.
As Yun Che observed the vast Dragon Domain beneath his feet, the ancient records of the Dragon God he had once read surfaced in his mind again.
According to records, each generation of the Dragon God race had only one "Dragon God." Although not a Creation God, it was a being that stood above tens of thousands of deities, second only to the Creation Gods.
The ancient "Dragon God race" referred to the Dragon race directly under the command of the Dragon God; it was a clan name derived from the title "Dragon God."
The last generation of Dragon God, named Long Yin, was the Primordial Azure Dragon who had bestowed great favor upon Yun Che.
At the end of the Era of Gods, the Heaven-Slaughtering God Emperor, Creation God Moe, discovered the forbidden union between the Elemental Creation God, Creator God Ni Xuan, and the Demon Emperor of Calamity Heaven, Jie Yuan. Using the heaven-slaying ancestor sword, he drove the Demon Emperor of Calamity Heaven out of the Primal Chaos, thereby triggering the full-scale outbreak of the war between gods and demons.
At the beginning of the brutal war between the two races, the Order Creation God, Xi Ke, used herself as bait to seal herself and the three Demon Emperors, Pan Ming, Jiu Sha, and Nie Lun, within the Heaven-Defying Heaven Thousand-Fold Realm of the Heaven-Defying Pearl, causing the Demon race to fall into a leaderless, doomed situation.
In their desperation, the Demon race actually released the seal of the Evil Infant's Wheel of Myriad Tribulations.
After the Evil Infant's Wheel of Myriad Tribulations appeared, it used the Demon of Eternal Night as a puppet, hijacked the sky poison pearl, locked onto all divine and demonic auras in the world, and released the 'Myriad Tribulations Without Life,' ultimately leading to the mutual destruction of gods and demons, bringing the Era of Gods and Demons to an end.
However, judging from what Yun Che had seen in the Abyss of Nothingness, even before the brutal war between the two races, Wei Su had been punished by Creator God Weie and struck down into the Abyss of Nothingness, becoming the earliest living being beneath the abyss.
In the subsequent war between gods and demons, a portion of the God race, and even some Demon race forces, leaped into the Abyss of Nothingness in desperation, living and multiplying here, forming the Abyssal World of today; this included the Dragon race.
If it were not for the sudden appearance of Vanguard Knight Mo Beichen's Abyssal Knight order, I fear this Abyssal World would not have been known to outsiders even after millions more years.
However, why would Yun Xi appear in the Abyss of Nothingness?
Judging from the few words exchanged with her, it was very likely that Shen Xi was still alive and had also come to the Abyss of Nothingness?
"Little Li Suo, do you think Shen Xi and her son Yun Xi might have been forced to jump into the Abyss of Nothingness to seek refuge with their kin because Long Bai was relentlessly pursuing them?" Yun Che asked Creator God Li Suo in confusion.
Thinking of this, Yun Che could not help but feel a surge of sorrow.
Long Bai's obsession had remained unchanged for hundreds of thousands of years, turning love into hate.
It had actually forced Shen Xi and her son Yun Xi to take such a desperate step.
"That is on the condition that Shen Xi and her son knew there were surviving descendants of the Dragon race beneath the abyss."
After a brief pause, Creator God Li Suo whispered, "However, the situation you asked about is not impossible, it is just too unbelievable."
"Although I have not experienced it, based on my understanding of you humans, as long as you are still alive, Shen Xi would never jump off a cliff to commit suicide.
Therefore, there are only two possibilities for Shen Xi and her son to appear here: they triggered some special restriction of the Reincarnation Well, or they knew of the existence of the Abyssal World from the beginning."
— — As the most powerful existence in the Abyss of Nothingness, second only to the Pure Land and the Six Great Divine Kingdoms, the Dragon Domain was home to hundreds of millions of dragons, including flood dragons, horned dragons, hornless dragons, viper dragons, and others, as well as the Ancestral Dragon, which had long been extinct in the God Realm.
Among these many factions, the Ancestral Dragon was revered above all.
Besides this, the Dragon Domain also gathered a small portion of humans and other beast races.
The Ancestral Dragon Mountains were the center of the entire Dragon Domain; this was where the Ancestral Dragon Temple was located, and the Dragon Lord, the patriarch of the Ancestral Dragon race, resided here.
The capital city of the Dragon Domain, Dragon City, was built alongside the Ancestral Dragon Mountains. Its scale was not large, spanning only a few tens of thousands of miles in radius.
"Yinlong Pavilion" was the largest and most prosperous restaurant in Dragon City, with ninety-nine floors and standing thousands of zhang tall.
The higher the floor, the higher the price, especially the ninety-nine floor at the top, which only that small handful of the most illustrious figures in the Abyss of Nothingness could enter; they were all people of great wealth or high status.
At this moment, Yun Che was on the ninety-ninth floor, sitting at a table closest to the window.
"May I ask what you would like to order, Young Master?"
A soft voice came to his ears. Yun Che looked up and saw a maid wearing a pink short skirt standing at the table.
She was about eighteen years old, with skin so tender and smooth that it seemed water could be squeezed out of it.
A pair of blue eyes were as bright and moving as shining sapphires; her fully developed bosom was as firm and erect as if it were blown full of air, and her soft, slender waist was as light as a willow branch.
"What is the best wine you have here?" Yun Che asked.
"Replying to Young Master, our best wine is the Dragon Breath Brew, brewed from the breath of the Dragon race. According to those who have drunk it, it has the miraculous effect of enhancing power," the maid said softly.
"Oh, that is actually quite interesting. Then bring me five jin!"
"Bring five jin?" The maid looked astonished.
"Is it difficult? Is there no wine, or are you worried I don't have the money?" Yun Che casually placed an abyssal core weighing over a hundred jin on the tabletop.
He had stayed in the Mist Sea for over half a year, and relying on his perception, control, and mastery of abyssal dust, abyssal cores were something he could easily grab in handfuls; he had plenty.
"This little girl did not mean that, it is just...!"
Before the maid could finish, she was interrupted by a hearty voice.
"For this young master to already be at the Half-step Divine Destruction Realm at such a young age is truly rare in my life. May I take a step over to get to know you and make a friend?"
A handsome young man in luxurious clothing had already invited himself over and sat at Yun Che's table; he was actually in the Divine Extinction Realm.
"I am Ban Sheng. To happen upon you in this first tallest building in the Dragon Domain is truly a fortunate event in my life. Enjoying fine wine and food alone is inevitably a bit regrettable. If Young Master would do me the honor, why not drink together?"
Compared to everyone else around, he had absolutely no Dragon race aura on his body, so he was clearly not of the Dragon race.
But he did not look like an ordinary human either. Yun Che vaguely felt a familiar aura on him, yet could not pinpoint it; he must have used some special method to suppress and conceal it.
"It is no matter, please sit." Yun Che could clearly feel that the other party had no malicious intent, but he felt surprised inside.
A Divine Extinction Realm expert this young—if he was not from the Dragon Domain, could he be from the Six Great Divine Kingdoms?
"The dragon is the head of all beasts. Since this Dragon Breath Brew carries the word 'dragon,' its strength is naturally fierce, tyrannical, and powerful.
Even within the Dragon race, those at the Divine Master Realm can only drink a small cup at a time; those at the Half-step Divine Destruction Realm can drink at most one liang; those at the Divine Extinction Realm can generally only drink two liang; and those at the middle to late stages of the Divine Extreme Realm can only drink about half a jin."
Ban Sheng was clearly very familiar with the nature of this wine and began to introduce it enthusiastically.
"Oh, since that is the case, let us start with one jin," Yun Che was clearly particularly curious about this wine: "Brother Ban Sheng, let us drink together!"
While the dragon maid went to fetch the wine and food, Yun Che and Ban Sheng began to chat.
Although they were strangers, they hit it off immediately.
From the conversation, Yun Che learned roughly:
The Dragon Domain revered the Ancestral Dragon, and each generation of the Dragon Lord was held by the patriarch of the Ancestral Dragon race.
The current Dragon Lord was named Cang Yuan and had been on the throne for over five hundred thousand years.
The Dragon Lord resided in the Ancestral Dragon Temple year-round, and his strength was likely at the ninth level of the Divine Extreme Realm.
Due to the influence of Emperor Yuan, the Dragon Lord had the most kind and generous character and a strong sense of justice.
Under the Dragon Lord were seven Elders, thirteen Protectors, and fifty-seven Dragon Guards.
The seven Elders had strength between the fifth and eighth levels of the Divine Extreme Realm, while the thirteen Protectors were mostly between the first and third levels of the Divine Extreme Realm.
The Dragon Guards were roughly equivalent to the Abyssal Knights under Emperor Yuan; ninety percent of them were in the Divine Extinction Realm, and only about ten percent possessed the strength of the Divine Extreme Realm.
Besides this, there was a Grand Elder, whose strength was said to be on par with the Dragon Lord.
Young Clan Leader was the only descendant of the Ancestral Dragon lineage of this generation, and his aptitude was average.
However, in the last few decades, for unknown reasons, he had progressed rapidly and was now at the eighth level of the Divine Master Realm.
It was said that it was because he had obtained some kind of super secret treasure, but this was merely a guess, and outsiders did not know for sure.
When he heard this part about Young Clan Leader, Yun Che could not help but frown, and a feeling of unease washed over him.
Just as the two were chatting enthusiastically, the maid brought up the wine and food, first pouring a cup of Dragon Breath Brew for each of them.
Yun Che raised his wine cup high: "Come, let me toast Brother Ban Sheng first!"
As soon as he finished speaking, he drained it in one gulp.
Before the cup had even reached his stomach, a scorching flame rose up; its nature was extremely fierce, extremely yang, and extremely rigid.
Yun Che did not doubt that if such a cup of wine were spilled, it would definitely be enough to incinerate a medium-sized world.
For others, this Dragon Breath Brew might be a raging flame or a steel blade, but Yun Che had inherited the profound veins of the Elemental Creation God, the Evil God, and had also refined the divine blood of the two ancient divine beasts, the Golden Crow and the Phoenix. To him, this wine was a potent tonic.
One cup down, he was still not satisfied.
"Another cup!" Yun Che shouted loudly, his aura like a rainbow, his voice like a great bell.
"Good!" By this time, Ban Sheng was already burning hot all over, and beads of sweat had seeped out on his forehead.
But he refused to show weakness; how could a man say he couldn't drink?
Just like that, back and forth, in no time at all, half a jin of Dragon Breath Brew had been completely consumed.
At this moment, Yun Che was in high spirits, his heroic spirit bursting forth.
Meanwhile, Ban Sheng could no longer hold on; sweat was rolling down his forehead, and his whole body felt as if it were being burned by raging fire. Every inch of his skin, every bone, and every meridian was burning, as if thousands of fire dragons were running and parading through him.
With a "bang," Ban Sheng collapsed to the floor, dead drunk, his handsome and noble demeanor from when he first arrived completely gone.
"It seems Brother Ban Sheng has no fortune to enjoy it," Yun Che picked up the flagon of Dragon Breath Brew, drank a huge gulp like an ox, and wiped out the remaining wine, still not satisfied.
"Miss, bring another two jin!"
At this moment, everyone in the restaurant heard Yun Che's shout, and all paid attention to this side.
"It is too inconceivable; can Dragon Breath Brew be drunk like water?"
"Even if you can drink it, you have to have that much money, right?"
However, when they saw the abyssal core weighing over a hundred jin placed on the table, that person immediately shut up.
In a moment, two jin of Dragon Breath Brew were brought up. Yun Che raised the flagon, tilted his neck, and drank it all down like an ox again.
The onlookers nearby were stunned, each with their mouths wide open, enough to fit a large goose egg.
Yun Che put down the flagon, stretched his right hand out into the air, and spread his five fingers. Immediately, five crimson flames rose from his fingertips, swaying and burning in the air in a magical, dreamy way.
The heat spreading everywhere seemed as if it were going to set the entire restaurant on fire.
Yun Che turned his head to look at Ban Sheng lying on the floor, and seeing that his followers had come to look after him, he waved his hand, "Brother Ban Sheng, we shall meet again," and then strode away.
