7: Chapter 7: The big bed is nice to lie on, but damn it, it's hard to drive!

As soon as Yang Yating finished speaking.

The gray fog in the corridor surged violently, and that white light rapidly faded.

Rustling footsteps came from inside.

There are definitely more than three!

"Retreat!"

Lin Qing didn't hesitate at all, grabbing Bai Nian, who was about to charge, and pulling her fiercely back to his side.

"Fight near the door! Don't get too far from the dorm!"

The intelligence has changed, so the tactics must change abruptly as well!

This isn't playing a game.

If you blindly rush monsters and die, there's no way to resurrect!

Bai Nian's footsteps paused.

She glanced at Lin Qing, and the judgment originally belonging to her in the depths of her eyes slowly turned into recognition.

At this moment, she admitted that Lin Qing was calmer than her.

"Ga… Woman…"

A short, dark green monster less than the height of a desk tore through the gray fog and lunged out fiercely!

A crude stone knife pointed directly at Shen Zhiyi on the outermost side!

The speed was as fast as a rabid dog!

Shen Zhiyi's pupils shrank abruptly. Just as she was about to swing her baseball bat, her body was a beat slower.

"Duck!"

Lin Qing roared out loudly!

Shen Zhiyi's neck instinctively shrank back.

Hum—!

The dark gold oversized bed horizontally crushed past above her head, smashing toward the Goblin with a whistling wind!

However.

Bang!

The corner of the bed slammed heavily against the wooden wall, wood chips flying wildly, and it directly got stuck.

Not only did it fail to hit the Goblin, but instead it blocked Bai Nian's support route tightly.

It was Lin Qing's first time fighting with a bed, and he hadn't controlled the size properly.

"Damn."

This SSS-grade oversized bed is comfortable to lie on, but damn it's hard to drive!

The Goblin grinned hideously as it crawled past from under the bed, its stone knife stabbing directly at Shen Zhiyi's calf!

In the nick of time!

Lin Qing grabbed her back collar and jerked her fiercely backward.

Rip!

The stone knife brushed past her calf, bringing up a shallow line of blood.

Shen Zhiyi let out a muffled groan of pain, her eye sockets instantly turning red, yet she bit her lip hard and made no sound.

Lin Qing took the opportunity to pull her behind him, his right-hand short blade sweeping horizontally to firmly block the Goblin's lunge and bite.

Clang!

The blades collided, jarring Lin Qing's wrist numb.

This monster didn't have much strength, but its fighting style was extremely despicable, specializing in attacking below the belt!

"So wretched?"

Lin Qing's expression sank, and he frantically urged his mind.

"Retract!"

Hum—!

The giant bed stuck in the wall instantly shrank and deformed, transforming into a half-person-high bed shield, lying horizontally in front of him and Shen Zhiyi.

Almost simultaneously!

In the gray fog, another Goblin sprinted out.

A green light flashed across its body, its figure suddenly accelerating, and the stone knife in its hand went straight for Yang Yating's abdomen!

Yang Yating had no time to react at all.

Clang!

The blade, however, slashed onto the bed shield. The soft and elastic bed surface only dented halfway before instantly rebounding, actually staggering this Goblin.

It was Lin Qing. He controlled the bed shield in front of him to rapidly elongate, just blocking this fatal slash.

Meanwhile, the bed body was as smooth and clean as before, without leaving even a trace.

Yang Yating froze in place entirely, her face pale as paper. She instinctively covered her mouth, forcefully swallowing back her scream.

Lin Qing glanced out of the corner of his eye.

"Not bad! You didn't panic and scream!"

"With me here, feel at ease and foresee."

A crude affirmation.

Yang Yating's nose suddenly stung, the fear in the depths of her eyes instantly crushed by resilience.

She wasn't a drag; she could still help!

At this moment, a third monster appeared in the gray fog.

It was also a Goblin, its short body having muscles bulging high.

Lin Qing shouted loudly: "Bai Nian! You take this one!"

"Alright!"

Air currents surged wildly!

Bai Nian's legs sprang out like bows!

The stone knife scraped away the wood chips on her body.

She didn't dodge or evade, instead backhanding a slash straight into the muscle Goblin's shoulder!

Squish!

Dark green blood sprayed wildly!

But not only did this Goblin not retreat, it grinned hideously and rolled along the ground, reaching out to grab Bai Nian's ankle.

Trying to drag someone down?

Lin Qing instantly saw through these beasts' tactics and shouted sternly:

"Hit their joints! Cripple their hands and feet!"

Bai Nian's gaze turned fierce, her short blade instantly shifting to viciously slice toward the Goblin's wrist.

Meanwhile, at the dormitory entrance.

The short-haired girl tightly gripped a wooden stick, guarding the door crack, trembling like a falling leaf in the wind.

Inside the door, An Muxi listened to the muffled sounds of blade collisions and the monsters' screams outside. Her hand trembled, and the white light in her palm almost dissipated.

Beside her, An Mumu was deathly afraid that her sister would impulsively rush out, so she tightly gripped her hem with her small hand and softly called out: "Sis…"

An Muxi bit her teeth tightly.

Lin Qing's words before going out were still echoing in her mind:

Your value outside is not as good as making one more piece of defensive gear inside!

She closed her eyes, then opened them abruptly.

"Keep dismantling, don't stop!"

"They are risking their lives outside; logistical support must never be cut off!"

Her voice wasn't loud, yet it was like a shot of adrenaline.

Bang! Bang!

The girls who had just been frozen in place with fear instantly snapped back to their senses.

The girls used their hands and feet together to flip and smash tables and chairs, continuously passing pieces of wood in front of An Muxi.

The white light in her palm rose again, and a new wooden armor rapidly formed.

Without Lin Qing holding down the fort, this group of girls stood up on their own!

Just at this moment.

"Close the door—!"

Lin Yawei suddenly let out a breakdown scream, lunging toward the wooden door like a madwoman.

"Hurry up and close the door! The monsters are coming in!"

The short-haired girl's expression changed drastically, violently shoving her away and tightly protecting the door handle.

"Are you crazy! Lin Qing and the others are still outside!"

"They're going to their deaths!"

Lin Yawei's face was twisted, her voice sharp and piercing.

"Why should we be buried along with them! Hurry up and close the door!"

Before her words finished.

Slap—!

The ponytail-wearing girl swung her arm in a full arc, slapping Lin Yawei solidly across the face.

Crisp and resounding.

"Try touching the door again?"

Holding her swollen, red face, Lin Yawei collapsed straight to the ground, her tears flooding out like a breached dam.

"You… you're all bullying me…"

"Shut up."

A soft, tender voice sounded from behind.

Su Mengmeng walked forward with large strides.

That flushed little face, which was always prone to shyness, was as cold as ice at this moment.

"Lin Qing is still outside."

"Without his command, whoever dares to close the door without authorization, I'll break her legs right now!"

"When he comes back, we'll throw her out to feed the monsters!"

Su Mengmeng looked at Lin Yawei expressionlessly. Seeing that she stopped moving, she then turned her head, her gaze sweeping over all the girls in the dormitory.

"The situation outside has changed. Split off three more people, get ready to provide backup at any time."

The dormitory instantly fell into a dead silence.

Two seconds later.

Several girls silently picked up table legs and baseball bats, standing shoulder to shoulder by the wooden door.

This group of twenty-something college students had grown up in stable and peaceful years since childhood, and their futures should have been brilliant like blooming flowers.

Yet they were forcibly dragged into a cruel survival world, facing step-by-step life-and-death tests.

They were all very scared, all trembling.

But not a single person stepped back.

Lin Yawei sat paralyzed in the corner, watching this scene, her complexion turning ashen bit by bit.

She no longer had the confidence to stir up trouble.

Su Mengmeng's icy gaze just now was definitely not a bluff.

She had no doubt that if she dared to make another half-out-of-line move, the other party would truly cripple her without hesitation.

The crisis inside the dormitory temporarily returned to peace.

But out in the corridor outside the door, the danger was just escalating.

The fourth Goblin was roaring as it rushed out from the gray fog.
