27: Crushing with overwhelming force

His expression subtly changed as he sensed the power level unique to the Late-Stage Qi Refinement Realm.

He didn't have time to ponder how this person had suddenly elevated his Realm.

His hand seals shifted, and several Talismans were conjured.

Vajra Talisman!

A golden light barrier swiftly enveloped Yang Hong, like a protective barrier shielding him within.

Thump!

The blood saber's power penetrated the spirit shield and landed on a layer of golden light, causing ripples, but it remained stable.

Before Yang Hong could even let out a breath of relief, a giant palm, wreathed in countless black lightning bolts, condensed in mid-air and pressed down upon him!

It lacked the grand and righteous feel of lightning, instead exuding a chilling and sinister aura.

However, while it looked intimidating, its actual power was not great; the Vajra Talisman's barrier was sufficient to withstand it.

A sneer appeared on Yang Hong's lips; it seemed this person's methods were nothing more than this.

He formed hand seals, preparing to summon his Magical Artifact for a counterattack.

Suddenly.

A dark, profound light shot out, its momentum astonishing, and with lightning speed, it slammed into the Vajra Talisman's barrier of light.

Within this profound light was a pitch-black bone nail, which pierced through the Talisman's light barrier with almost no resistance.

Yang Hong's eyes widened.

"What was that!"

However, before he could react, the giant black lightning palm had arrived!

Yin Thunder Palm!

Drop!

A cracking sound echoed as the golden shield released by the Vajra Talisman began to shatter inch by inch.

Yang Hong, along with the gourd-shaped Magical Artifact beneath him, plummeted, crashing heavily to the ground.

Pfft!

Already weak, Yang Hong was jolted by the impact and violently spat out a mouthful of blood.

Yet, it wasn't over.

"Chì!"

At this moment, Talismans soared into the sky, and five-colored light burst forth.

The Talismans began to transform in the air, and golden swords and fiery rain rained down.

Yang Hong struggled to recall his spirit shield, intending to block.

But the ground beneath him suddenly caved in, like a mud swamp, engulfing his ankles.

Mud Swamp Talisman!

Rustle!

At the same time, thin, snake-like thorns began to emerge from the mud swamp, binding Yang Hong's legs.

Crucially, these thorns were covered in sharp barbs, directly piercing into his flesh, and the more he struggled, the more flesh was torn away.

In just a moment, Yang Hong's legs were already a bloody mess, bleeding profusely.

Golden swords and fiery rain descended, and his Magical Robe automatically protected its master.

But it only lasted for a few breaths before shattering with a crash.

A golden sword descended, starting from his shoulder, piercing through his body, and pinning him to the ground.

Yang Hong was dizzy from this combo attack.

This was not what he had imagined!

He knew this person's methods were bizarre, capable of devouring others' Qi and blood from a distance, so he had made many preparations.

But he hadn't expected the methods to be so fierce, giving him no chance to counterattack.

Moreover, this devouring power was clearly much stronger than it had been at the black market.

His expression began to scatter, his gaze vaguely looking at the blood shadow rapidly approaching him, his vision gradually blurring.

Yang Hong wanted to speak, but found he no longer had the strength.

His hair began to fall out, his skin began to crack, and feeling his life force gradually extinguish, Yang Hong smiled bitterly in his heart.

"Am I going to die...?"

He thought he was about to die like this, but then he heard a murmur beside his ear.

"Old man, taste your own Cultivation Technique..."

As the words fell, Yang Hong saw a small wisp of eerie green flame land on his body, but the flame, as if falling into a pile of kindling, rapidly spread and covered him.

An indescribable pain, deep into his Soul, assailed him.

"Three Yin Nether Fire!"

Yang Hong was terrified!

This person actually dared to Cultivate it, and even succeeded!

However, he no longer had time to think, as the nether flame began to burn from his Divine Soul, vital blood, and bones.

Amidst crackling sounds, the nether flame slightly expanded.

As the former owner of "Three Yin Nether Fire," Yang Hong knew it by heart and already understood his fate.

A bitter smile appeared on his lips, and he made an indistinct, muffled sound.

"Heh heh, Longevity... I regret it..."

After speaking, his consciousness plunged into darkness, completely consumed by the nether flame.

Lu Ming ignored Yang Hong. He had endured Lu Ming's stylish combo for so long only because he was a Late-Stage Qi Refinement Cultivator.

He headed straight towards Yu Xia.

Yu Xia was only at the sixth layer of Qi Refining, and when he dealt with Yang Hong, he only gave her some extra attention, and she was already unable to bear it.

At this moment, Yu Xia's face was covered in wrinkles, her hair all white, like a frail old woman.

She lay on the ground, convulsing in pain.

Her eyes fixed on Lu Ming, who was walking towards her with a smile.

"Spare... spare my life, I can do anything... for you."

She pleaded with Lu Ming, trying to make a pitiful expression, hoping to gain a shred of sympathy.

But Yu Xia had forgotten that she was no longer the vibrant, alluring mature woman she once was.

She was like a withered flower, gradually fading away.

So what Lu Ming saw was an old woman with a wrinkled face and sallow skin, constantly winking at him.

"W-what the f-!"

Hit by a wave of mental attack, Lu Ming cursed loudly!

He picked up a large rock nearby and violently smashed it towards Yu Xia!

"Let you disgust me!"

"Let you be disgusting!"

"..."

Thudding sounds accompanied by curses echoed through the forest.

...

A moment later.

A gentle breeze blew past.

It stirred Lu Ming's long hair at his temples.

He tossed the large rock in his hand to one side, and it landed with a dull thud.

Looking at the mosaic in the pit, Lu Ming felt a bit nauseous.

But adhering to the principle of not wasting, he still threw a small ball of eerie green flame into it.

However, before the flames could consume it, he snatched the Storage Pouch from the mosaic.

The spoils of war couldn't be burned away; he had already taken Yang Hong's when he lit the fire.

Looking at the messy ground, Lu Ming felt a bit emotional. This was his second battle in the Immortal Realm.

No skill, all output!

He used whatever he had, combined with the golden book's Star Absorbing Art, and successfully dealt with two enemies.

He could tell that Yang Hong had died somewhat resentfully, likely having prepared many methods.

But Lu Ming focused on overwhelming firepower, not allowing any methods to be used.

He had always lacked a sense of security; if he could avoid fighting, he would, but once he fought, he would end it quickly.

He checked the scattered items around: Old Man Yang's Magical Artifact gourd and Yu Xia's Azure Spirit Boat.

He had been very envious, watching others fly in the sky while he trudged along on the ground; what kind of sense did that make?

Anyone who didn't know might think he couldn't afford one, but now it was good, one for each hand!

He didn't linger, unsure if the commotion here would attract others.

Lu Ming swallowed a Medicinal Pill to restore his spiritual power and once again transformed into a blood shadow, disappearing from the spot.
