"Oh, my job is quite suitable for me, so there's no need for you to worry," Qin Feng said indifferently.

"You Child, I'm just concerned about you. You're only in your third year of high school, and you'll be heading out in two years. You should cherish this precious time."

Zhang Yuehua spoke with a look of deep distress.

"Auntie Zhang, you don't need to worry, I know what I'm doing. I have to go upstairs to do my homework, so I won't see you out," Qin Feng said coldly before turning to leave.

Zhang Yuehua was stunned for a moment; she hadn't expected Qin Feng to have such an attitude. However, she quickly returned to normal.

"Hmph! I'll see how long you can keep this up. Qin Feng, sooner or later, I'll expose your hypocritical face," Zhang Yuehua said resentfully.

After speaking, Zhang Yuehua didn't want to stay any longer and turned to leave.

After Qin Feng returned to the house, he threw his schoolbag onto the table and picked up a teacup to pour himself a glass of water.

Just as he was about to take a break, a knock suddenly came from the door.

"Come in," Qin Feng said calmly.

Then, a woman in her forties entered the room, looked at Qin Feng, and said, "Qin Feng! I brewed some chicken soup; drink it while it's hot to get some nourishment."

Upon hearing this, Qin Feng's expression changed instantly. Something must have been added to this bowl of chicken soup; otherwise, why would it be so scalding hot!

However, Qin Feng didn't let it show, still saying calmly, "Thank you, Auntie, but I'm not hungry and don't want to eat."

"You Child, how can you not eat? Hurry up and drink it!" As she spoke, Aunt Qin walked toward Qin Feng holding the bowl.

Seeing this, Qin Feng grew flustered and quickly avoided her, saying, "Auntie, I'm not thirsty. Please take it out first; I'm going to take a shower and go to bed."

Seeing Qin Feng's attempt to flee, Aunt Qin laughed and said, "Oh, are you shy?"

Qin Feng didn't expect to be misunderstood and shook his head helplessly before turning toward the bedroom.

Seeing Qin Feng enter the bedroom, the corner of Aunt Qin's mouth curled into a slight arc, and a treacherous glint flashed in her eyes.

Immediately after, Aunt Qin went into the kitchen, placed the bowl and chopsticks on the cabinet, and pulled several bright red Ibuprofen pills from her pocket.

"Hehe, I'll see how much longer you can hold out. Daring to fight with me? You're simply looking for death!" Aunt Qin muttered fiercely to herself.

*Bang!*

At that moment, Uncle Qin suddenly pushed the door open and saw those Ibuprofen pills held in Aunt Qin's hand.

"Cough, cough. Old woman, what are you doing?" Uncle Qin coughed twice and then asked.

Seeing her husband, Aunt Qin immediately feigned surprise and patted her chest, saying, "Nothing! Why didn't you make a sound when you came in? You scared me to death."

"I thought I heard you muttering something while I was outside. I bet you're plotting against Xiao Feng again? Xiao Feng is only in his second year of high school; he doesn't need to get married yet," Uncle Qin said slowly.

"No, absolutely not, Old Qin! How could I do such an atrocious thing! Don't you dare wrong me!" Aunt Qin said, pretending to be in a panic. "Fine! You know I don't believe you. If I find out you've done something atrocious, I won't let you off," Uncle Qin warned before turning to leave.

Aunt Qin watched Uncle Qin's departing figure, a smile of a successful scheme appearing on her face.

The next morning.

By the time Qin Feng got up, it was already eight o'clock.

After Qin Feng finished washing up, he sat in the living room eating breakfast. Aunt Qin and Uncle Qin had already gone to the company for work.

After finishing breakfast and tidying up, Qin Feng also headed toward the house he had rented.

Upon arriving, Qin Feng found that the furniture in the house had already been arranged, leaving only the bed and the wardrobe.

Qin Feng smiled with satisfaction and then began to pack his things.

"Eh? Is this furniture all newly bought?" Qin Feng asked, looking at the neatly placed furniture.

"Yes! It took a lot of effort!" Aunt Li said with a smile.

"Thank you, Auntie," Qin Feng said gratefully, his heart warming because all of this had been prepared for him by Qin Feng's parents.

Seeing Qin Feng's moved expression, Aunt Qin was also very satisfied and said, "It's nothing. Just remember to take good care of your parents in the future."

"Okay!"

"Alright, I'm leaving now," Aunt Qin said as she picked up her vegetable basket and left.

After Aunt Qin left, Qin Feng began to tidy up the room.

Qin Feng's parents rented a house in the county town, which was quite far from here. Therefore, every weekend, his father and mother would come home to spend time with Qin Feng. Thus, all the housework was left to Aunt Li, who was happy for the light workload.

Half an hour later, Qin Feng finished tidying the house and sat in the living room to start playing on a game console; he liked things from the internet.

Qin Feng looked at the game console on the computer screen and slowly began to immerse himself in it... After playing for about five or six minutes, the doorbell rang. Qin Feng stood up in confusion to open the door and saw a strange woman standing before him. Qin Feng asked suspiciously, "Who are you?"

"You're Qin Feng, right? Let's get to know each other; my surname is Wu," Wu Lili said to Qin Feng with a smile.

Qin Feng frowned, but he didn't refuse.

After Wu Lili walked in, she spoke up, "I heard from a friend that you're working here to earn money to support your younger sister and your parents?"

"Yes!" Qin Feng hadn't expected this beautiful girl to be here to pry for information.

"In that case, you should move out," Wu Lili said bluntly.

Qin Feng was stunned upon hearing this. "Why should I move out?"

"Don't you know there are too many temptations in society nowadays? Especially for a simple young man like you, you're the easiest to tempt," Wu Lili said playfully.

"What are you talking about?" Qin Feng asked with a frown. Although he didn't like this girl, he didn't want to be slandered by her.

"You understand what I'm saying... If you continue to live here, you'll delay your sister's studies," Wu Lili reminded him.

"There's no need. As soon as I get into university, I'll move out. As for the matters concerning me and my sister in the future, there's no need for you to worry," Qin Feng said calmly.

Hearing this, Wu Lili frowned and said, "How can you be so stubborn? This won't do."

"What does it matter to you how I am? Who are you to me?" Qin Feng retorted, looking at Wu Lili.

After hearing Qin Feng's words, Wu Lili said exasperatedly, "I've said so much and you're still so obstinate; you truly are a piece of rotten wood that cannot be carved." After saying that, Wu Lili turned and walked out of the house.

Qin Feng watched Wu Lili's departing back with disdain.

This matter quickly spread throughout the entire village.

Originally, Aunt Qin wanted to use this opportunity to scheme against Qin Feng, but instead, it led to the villagers mocking her.

"She truly deserves it! This wife of the Qin Group's CEO is truly blind, choosing the son of the Qin Group's Chairman."

"Yeah! That little girl is really pitiful, having such an unsuccessful brother."

"Sigh, when marrying a wife these days, it's better to marry an honest person!"

The crowd was buzzing with discussion. When Aunt Qin heard it, she trembled with rage, then picked up a hoe and charged at the crowd while cursing, "What are you saying! What are you saying!"

"Aunt Qin, are we wrong? This matter isn't our fault!" one villager said aggrievedly.

"Get lost!" Qin Feng shouted at the group of villagers.

Hearing that, the group of villagers ran away dejectedly.

Seeing this, Qin Feng said to Father Qin and Mother Qin, "Dad, Mom, let's leave here quickly."

"Why? It's only been a few days, and you've already finished setting up the house?" Mother Qin asked.

"Yeah! I took a look, and the layout of this house seems quite good," Father Qin said with a smile.

Hearing this, Qin Feng smiled and said, "This is all thanks to Auntie; Auntie can be said to be a virtuous and capable woman."

Hearing Qin Feng's praise, Mother Qin smiled and said, "Oh, not at all."

"Really." Qin Feng smiled and said nothing more.

"In that case, let your parents stay here," Father Qin said.

"Mm." Qin Feng nodded and then led the two of them to move in.

After moving, Qin Feng's heart finally felt settled.

"Xiao Feng, now that our house is ready, what are your plans?" Father Qin asked.

"I don't have any plans for now, just to study hard," Qin Feng said with a smile.

"Can't you find a good job while studying hard?" Mother Qin asked.

Qin Feng shook his head and said, "I'm not looking. I think things are fine as they are. I can exercise every day and play ball with my classmates; it's quite good."

"That's true. You're still a Child, so just study hard!" Mother Qin nodded and said.

"Okay." After Qin Feng agreed, Mother Qin left.

Looking at his mother's departing back, Qin Feng sighed.

He knew that he had to do something now to prove himself.
