5: Martial arts!

The dog meat was very fragrant.

Perhaps Ye Su's cooking skills were average, but this dog meat was definitely anything but average.

After all, it was a dog that had devoured Spirit Medicine.

With a large pot containing over ten pounds of meat, Ye Su picked up his chopsticks and dug right in.

As large chunks of meat entered his mouth, Ye Su felt his entire body warm up, though he wasn't sure if it was just an illusion.

Then, his Blood Qi surged!

That's right—the dog ate the Spirit Medicine, and Ye Su ate the dog. By skipping the middleman, Ye Su was essentially consuming the Spirit Medicine himself.

The true effects of the Spirit Medicine began to manifest within Ye Su's body.

And that was: Breakthrough the limits!

What lies beyond the theoretical limits of the human body?

No one knew.

Some said it was the genetic lock, but at this moment, Ye Su understood.

Beyond the limit was a whole new world.

It was Blood Qi!

Scenarios from fantasy began to materialize.

Blood Qi wasn't simply the blood flowing through one's veins; it was a form of Qi!

It relied on the body's blood vessels to circulate.

A typical adult's blood circulation takes 20 to 30 seconds.

But at this moment, because a wisp of Blood Qi had been born, Ye Su pushed that time to under 15 seconds.

The blood flowed faster, capable of transporting more oxygen and nutrients.

This served to support the body's high-intensity consumption during combat.

This was the essence.

It was the breaking of the body's shackles.

The faster the blood circulation, the stronger the foundation for endurance, physical strength, explosive power, and so on.

Otherwise, during a burst of power—where would the muscles get enough nutrients to sustain it?

Doesn't it all rely on blood for transport?

Beyond that, this wisp of Blood Qi had even more functions, such as constantly strengthening the entire body as it circulated through the meridians.

The more abundant the Blood Qi, the more obvious the strengthening effect became.

Furthermore, it could act as a substitute for blood nutrients to fuel muscle consumption.

This would bring about an immense burst of power.

However, this wisp of Blood Qi would be consumed afterward.

Ye Su devoured the meat as if he were addicted.

The feeling of his body clearly breaking through its limits was truly wonderful.

"I feel like I've already broken through the theoretical limits of the human body!"

Ye Su thought to himself.

After swallowing the last bite of meat from the pot, he impatiently opened his status panel:

[Ye Su]

[Class: Transcendence Master]

[Physique: 11]

[Intelligence: 5]

[Martial Arts: Ape Fist]

[Skill: Impact Vigor]

His Physique had grown by one point. 10 points was the theoretical limit, and 11 points was a Breakthrough of that limit!

Though it was only a one-point difference,

the actual gap was worlds apart.

Because reaching 11 points in Physique was the standard for the birth of a wisp of Blood Qi!

"Relying on this wisp of Blood Qi, I might not even need to use a skill if I faced that big dog again."

Ye Su thought to himself.

After using the skill previously, besides his hand hurting a bit, his body felt fatigued and his head felt groggy.

After all, skills rely on physical and mental energy to power the burst.

If the current Ye Su were in that situation, he could have fought it head-on with brute force!

This was the difference between reaching the limit and having Blood Qi.

"Who knows, once my Blood Qi grows stronger, it might form a protective Blood Qi shroud capable of blocking hits from thermal weapons."

Ye Su looked forward to it with longing.

He didn't even notice that he had eaten ten pounds of meat in one go.

The strengthening from Blood Qi was comprehensive, and without him realizing it, his internal organs were the first beneficiaries.

Whoosh...

Whoosh—Ye Su's entire body was currently emitting steam.

This was a side effect of the Spirit Medicine contained within the lean meat.

"I... I actually ate a whole pot?"

Ye Su finally realized what happened.

"This won't do, my whole body is burning up."

Ye Su felt a surge of restlessness.

Taking advantage of the feeling, he began to practice Martial Arts in his home, following the guidance within the techniques.

Ape Fist.

Ye Su started with the long saber.

A weapon can serve as an extension of Xingyi Quan. There was nothing wrong with practicing directly with a saber; in fact, it looked even more impressive.

Ape Fist emphasizes flexibility and adaptability. When performed with a saber, it gained an extra touch of agility.

Of course, this was also due to the fact that Ye Su's Physique had broken through the limit.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have had the stamina to perform this kind of saber technique at all.

Coupled with the thick, burning heat within him, Ye Su became almost intoxicated by the flashes of his blade—Martial Arts talent.

This was the most indescribable thing.

After all, materialists of the new era couldn't cultivate immortality because they didn't believe in the underlying principles.

Ye Su didn't have such an internal conflict.

Please, I'm a Transmigration case myself. Not only do I believe practicing Martial Arts can yield results, I'd even believe you if you said I could cultivate immortality!

If you believe it, it exists; if you don't, it doesn't!

Ye Su had already crossed the most difficult step.

The set of saber techniques gradually became familiar.

After familiarity comes the stage of drawing out the 'spirit' of the technique.

That would require time and slow tempering.

Lost in his practice, he lost track of time.

Ye Su didn't know how long he had been practicing.

Finally, he was jolted awake by a notification sound from his phone.

"It's already noon? I've been practicing for nearly 4 hours?"

Drenched in sweat, Ye Su gave a bitter laugh and checked the message on his phone.

[At 1:00 PM, one person from every household on Binhai Street must come out to help clear trees from the street.]

This was sent by the neighborhood committee.

The government's organizational capacity was extremely strong.

No matter what industry or walk of life you were in, there was a corresponding organization that could find you.

This kind of activity was likely mandated from above.

In the face of the impact brought by the global classes, full mobilization was quite normal.

Ye Su decided to go.

He decided to go because he didn't dare not to.

If you go, they might not remember you.

But if you don't go, they will definitely know who you are!

At this stage, the government was still the only dominant power.

Ye Su didn't want to expose himself yet.

Or rather, until the future letters clarified his relationship with the government, Ye Su didn't want to get too deeply involved with them!

At one in the afternoon, after stuffing the remaining lean meat into the fridge, Ye Su went downstairs.

The outside was now lush and green.

The flowers, plants, and trees had stopped growing,

but their scale had reached an inconceivable level.

One building had even been pierced through by tree roots, becoming an endangered structure.

The residential compound was full of familiar faces, now gathered in small groups chatting.

They were discussing some 'insider information,' looking quite serious about it.

Ye Su knew this was just gossip.

The government was also very troubled right now.

After all, they had never seen a situation like this before.

Soon, a street official came over to organize the people.

The situation was that the government would provide the power to cut down the trees on the road, and everyone else would assist.

It seemed like it didn't have much meaning, but it was actually very significant.

You couldn't let people stay idle like this.

If they were idle, rumors would spread, and once rumors spread, it would be hard to maintain stability.

People need to be busy so they don't overthink things.

"It's probably because a few hours have passed and the government saw that the trees stopped growing, so they started regional cleanup nationwide."

Ye Su thought to himself.

"But the tide of evolution has already appeared. The trees have stopped growing, so they might start developing in another direction."

The tide had already appeared.

With such an explosive start, the aftermath wouldn't be so simple.

He just didn't know where the true danger lay.

"Ah!"

"What a huge bird!"

Suddenly, someone cried out in alarm.

Ye Su looked up sharply.

A massive bird with a wingspan of over two meters soared across the sky.

It looked like... a sparrow!
