207: What, what, what happened?

Jiang Hanxi's aversion vanished in an instant.

However, a hint of displeasure lingered in her eyes, directed at Wang Feng for touching her head without her permission.

But why did she feel a little… happy?

“Wang Feng Shi… Wang Feng, um, we’ve finished picking and gathered them into a pile for you. You can directly put them into your storage space.”

Leng Ningyue and a few Female Disciples walked over. She had originally intended to call Wang Feng ‘Junior Brother Wang Feng’, but after glancing at Jiang Hanxi, she quickly changed her address.

“Oh! Good, good, good, thank you.”

Seeing the ambiguous looks in their eyes, Wang Feng knew that their affectionate whispers had been overheard.

Otherwise, the five of them wouldn’t have been squatting there picking for so long.

They appeared to be picking corrosion crystal mine, but in reality, their ears were perked up, higher than antennas, to catch every sweet murmur.

Especially Leng Ningyue, whose curiosity towards Wang Feng was practically overflowing, her gaze darting back and forth between the two of them.

Jiang Hanxi naturally felt the change in atmosphere. Although the blush on her face was forcibly suppressed, her ears were incredibly red, and her gaze drifted to the side, as if she were observing her surroundings.

The other Female Disciples didn’t find it particularly strange; they just felt that this pair of Dao Companions was quite well-matched, a perfect match of talent and beauty.

However, if they were to discover that this was, in fact, their Palace Master, what their reaction would be was unknown.

“Mm, let’s go.”

Wang Feng responded, walked over, and collected the piled-up corrosion crystal mine into his storage space, without even needing to check them.

The Ice Palace disciples should have that much integrity; if they said they’d only take ten, they would naturally only take ten.

“System, locate the nearest exit for me.”

Wang Feng spoke to the system in his mind, but it remained unresponsive for a long time.

“System?”

“Damn system!!??”

Wang Feng couldn’t bear it any longer and shouted in his mind. Where had this thing gone again?

“Ding… What’s wrong!?”

This time, the system sounded as if it had just woken up, its cold voice filled with the dissatisfaction of being disturbed.

“You took my source points and then went to sleep!?”

“Locate the nearest exit in this underground area for me.”

Wang Feng reprimanded it discontentedly in his mind, repeating a similar request to before.

“Alright, alright, you dog host, truly a dog! I really want to beat you up!”

This time, the system didn’t even ‘ding’; it just started cursing directly. After it finished, a marker appeared before Wang Feng’s eyes.

Then the system’s voice disappeared, clearly annoyed that Wang Feng had disturbed its sleep and now refused to bother with him.

Wang Feng: …

Finally, Wang Feng followed the map in his mind and the marker beyond the wall, leading the group through winding passages.

Occasionally, they would trigger mechanisms, or open secret chamber stone doors, from which spirit tigers would leap out to attack them.

Or they might encounter some evil spirits, or even open a secret chamber full of excrement, which disgusted Wang Feng and his group.

Who knew what treasure was inside that needed excrement to guard it? Was it a spiritual golden dung beetle?

After a long period of twists and turns, everyone in the group, except for Jiang Hanxi and Leng Ningyue, had sustained some injuries.

Jiang Hanxi had Wang Feng blocking in front of her, and she only needed to handle a few attacks from behind, so she naturally wasn’t injured.

Leng Ningyue relied entirely on her life-saving methods. Seeing that the situation was not right, she frowned slightly and retreated behind the others.

Fortunately, she could cast and set up some formations to heal Wang Feng and the others, or unleash some spiritual energy auras.

In short: a slacker.

But not entirely a slacker.

Otherwise, Wang Feng would probably have thrown her into a secret chamber and let her experience the feeling of fighting a spirit tiger as tall as a small mountain by herself.

After much winding, the group finally arrived at a place with a vast, high ceiling, somewhat dim above.

“Fly up!”

Wang Feng said, then without waiting for anyone, he swiftly embraced Jiang Hanxi’s delicate body and flew upwards. Jiang Hanxi hadn’t even reacted.

Leng Ningyue’s eyes widened. He touched her!?!?

Then, was it still far from him touching… her!?!?

If he dared to touch her today, tomorrow he would dare to…

“Saintess, let’s go.”

Leng Ningyue’s thoughts were interrupted, and she quickly followed the group flying upwards.

However, the moment they landed on the ground, the jade pendants at the waists of the Ice Palace members immediately began to glow.

There was no need to guess; they knew they had been frantically searched for. If the Saintess died in the secret realm, how would they explain it?!

Leng Ningyue picked up her jade pendant, walked to the side, and began chattering away as if on a phone call.

Wang Feng, meanwhile, surveyed his surroundings. They were currently inside a palace.

Above, a wildly burning large fire lamp illuminated much of the otherwise dark palace, though it still appeared somewhat dim.

Wang Feng deliberately moved a little further from Jiang Hanxi, as if to carefully observe the surroundings.

Jiang Hanxi naturally noticed Wang Feng’s action and was somewhat puzzled about what he intended to do.

Why didn’t he take her with him this time?

He had just been holding her so tightly, but now he was so far away without a word.

Jiang Hanxi was not good with words, so these thoughts could only be kept in her heart. She pondered many things but did not easily grow to dislike Wang Feng.

Unless it truly came to a moment of grievance, at which point she would not be willing to remain silent, otherwise, if her husband was gone, where would she find him again?

“Wife! Come here, look!”

Wang Feng’s sudden exclamation successfully attracted the attention of everyone present.

Without even thinking, the Ice Palace members knew they were about to engage in more affectionate exchanges.

Jiang Hanxi, upon hearing the word “wife,” instantly cut off her thoughts and looked up with her beautiful eyes.

“Come here! Quickly!”

Seeing Jiang Hanxi’s hesitant appearance, Wang Feng called out twice more.

Wang Feng knew that Jiang Hanxi was debating whether to accept the title of “wife.”

And this was his intention.

If she accepted, that would be wonderful. If she didn’t, he would keep calling her until she did.

Several gazes focused on Jiang Hanxi, making her feel anxious and uneasy.

Yet, even when she stood on a stage before thousands of people, successfully crowned as a Great Empress, declaring the title of Ice Empress, she showed not a single ripple of emotion.

Now, with just a few gazes, she felt anxious, nervous, and indecisive.

Forget it… Jiang Hanxi sighed softly in her heart…

Finally… she slowly took a step, walking towards Wang Feng one step at a time.

With each step closer, her heartbeat quickened, and a blush gradually appeared on her face.

Jiang Hanxi, with her head slightly bowed in shyness, slowly walked towards Wang Feng under the gazes of several onlookers.

“Wh-wh-wh-what’s wrong?”

Jiang Hanxi, now close to Wang Feng, spoke. Her voice was as faint as a mosquito’s buzz, and she stammered, unable to speak clearly.

Unexpectedly, just as the Female Disciples of the Ice Palace were watching, ready to see what they would do next, an untimely voice came from the other side.

“Ahem, I have some good news and some bad…”

Leng Ningyue hadn’t finished speaking when she felt four resentful gazes and two murderous gazes directed at her.

“Uh… wh-wh-wh-what’s wrong???”
