129: Yaya is not cute

Hotel.

As soon as Liu Jiangyi returned, he saw Ya Ya sleeping sprawled out on the bed.

Ya Ya was wearing a camisole, one small foot dangling off the bed, the other splayed out on the bed, and a rumbling sound came from her stomach.

Liu Jiangyi was amused.

Every time Liu Jiangyi saw Ya Ya sleeping, he would be amused.

This girl truly was a cat; although she looked human most of the time, she retained all the habits of a cat.

She liked to chase laser pointers, loved to eat fish, disliked baths, and made a rumbling sound in her stomach when she slept.

Liu Jiangyi took out a small dried fish from the shopping bag in his hand and dangled it near Ya Ya's nose.

"Ah~ fragrant... So fragrant~"

Ya Ya's nose twitched, and she actually sat up in her sleep, eyes still closed, her small hands fumbling in the air to grab the dried fish.

Thump~

Two small black cat ears suddenly popped out from the top of her head, and a cat tail appeared behind her.

Looking at those small cat ears, Liu Jiangyi suddenly felt playful.

He dangled the dried fish in front of Ya Ya while reaching out to grab them.

Holy cow!

So soft!

So plush!

So bouncy!

The sensation was simply incredible!

Liu Jiangyi couldn't help but wonder what her tail felt like.

Liu Jiangyi didn't hesitate for a moment and reached out directly.

"Meow~!"

Ya Ya suddenly opened her eyes, then directly grabbed Liu Jiangyi by the neck and lifted him up.

"What are you doing!?"

Ya Ya's pretty face was flushed, and her eyes were filled with suppressed anger.

"I... I just touched your tail, that... that's no reason to make such a fuss, is it?"

Liu Jiangyi looked innocent.

"You! You dare to say that?" Ya Ya angrily threw Liu Jiangyi away.

Liu Jiangyi landed hard on his backside, wincing in pain.

"Alright, alright, I was kind enough to buy you dried fish, and you hit me?"

Liu Jiangyi covered his backside, looking wronged.

"Hmph! If you dare to be so perverted again, I'll kill you!"

Ya Ya rolled her eyes, shook her head, and retracted her tail and ears.

"Alright, alright, I'm scared of you."

Liu Jiangyi shook his head helplessly, throwing the dried fish onto the bedside table. "I'm going out tomorrow, and I'm not sure when I'll be back. You wait for me here, and don't run around."

"Are you going to be out for a long time?" Ya Ya turned to look at Liu Jiangyi.

"I can't say for sure."

"Where are you going?"

"Immortal Sword Sect."

"Oh."

Liu Jiangyi turned and walked towards the door.

"Wait!"

Just as Liu Jiangyi was about to walk out, Ya Ya called out to him.

"What is it?"

"You... be careful."

"Huh?" Liu Jiangyi was a bit confused.

He hadn't expected those words to come out of Ya Ya's mouth.

"Nothing, get lost!"

Ya Ya turned her head away.

"Uh... a cat's mouth can't utter ivory."

Liu Jiangyi shook his head helplessly and left the room.

...

The next day.

Early in the morning, Liu Jiangyi arrived at the square.

Li Changsheng was already waiting there.

"Brother Liu, good morning," Li Changsheng greeted Liu Jiangyi proactively, his attitude warm.

One doesn't hit a smiling face.

Liu Jiangyi smiled, "Good morning, Senior Brother Li."

"Hmm, have you settled everything at home?"

"I'm alone, a solitary person, there's nothing much to settle. Yesterday I just went back to pack a few things."

"Good, then let's set off."

Li Changsheng led Liu Jiangyi onto the carriage.

"Those who were willing to join the Immortal Sword Sect have already gone ahead. You are the last one."

On the way, Li Changsheng said with a smile.

Liu Jiangyi politely said, "Thank you, Senior Brother Li, for waiting so long."

"It's no trouble. You were the double champion of this competition, so waiting for you is only right."

"Have you ever left Hantie City?"

"No."

"Is that so? Then you might find it a bit difficult to adapt when you go to the Immortal Sword Sect. Everything there is quite different from Hantie City."

A Sect?

Although Liu Jiangyi had never been to one.

But in his previous life, he had read widely and could roughly guess what a Sect looked like.

However, Liu Jiangyi naturally wouldn't say much.

He humbly said, "Then I'll trouble Senior Brother Li to take care of me."

Seeing Liu Jiangyi being so agreeable, Li Changsheng was also very satisfied.

He nodded and said, "Don't worry, I'll take care of you."

...

The carriage slowly drove out of Hantie City.

The Immortal Sword Sect was not close to Hantie City.

Even with the incredibly fast Blue Flame Horse-drawn carriage, it took over an hour, and they still hadn't seen the mountain range.

The carriage drove out of the Land of Bliss and entered a swamp.

This carriage was clearly no ordinary item.

As soon as the carriage entered the swamp, a Formation power immediately burst forth, enveloping the wheels and horse hooves. Then, it surprisingly moved across the swamp as if on solid ground.

Approximately five minutes later.

Li Changsheng suddenly frowned, "It's not even winter yet, and these reckless fellows dare to cause trouble?"

He looked at Liu Jiangyi and said, "Brother Liu, we've encountered some trouble. I'll go deal with it."

Liu Jiangyi nodded slightly, saying nothing more.

Li Changsheng leaped out of the carriage.

Liu Jiangyi pulled back the curtain and looked out, only to see bubbles beginning to emerge from the surrounding swamp, emitting waves of dangerous Qi.

"Could it be alligators?"

However, before Liu Jiangyi could think further, Li Changsheng directly drew his sword and struck all around him.

The crescent-shaped Sword Qi plunged into the swamp, causing a massive explosion.

"Roar!"

The next moment.

Alligators, a full ten meters long, entirely blood-red, with rhinoceros horns on their heads and blade-like armor on their bodies, actually leaped out of the swamp.

There was an astonishing number of these alligators.

At a glance, there were easily no less than a thousand of them.

The Realm of these alligators was very high.

The weakest among them were surprisingly equivalent to Ninth-Rank Martial Artists.

And the powerful ones even had cultivation fluctuations of Grandmaster seventh or eighth layer.

However, these alligators were still no match for Li Changsheng, a Martial Saint expert.

Even though their scales were incredibly hard, under Li Changsheng's sword, they were like paper, easily torn apart by the Sword Qi.

In just five minutes.

Over a hundred alligators were slain.

The other alligators were frightened and turned to leave, and the surroundings once again returned to calm. However, the already foul-smelling swamp became even more putrid due to the alligator corpses.

Li Changsheng returned, sheathing his sword, and frowned, "We still fed them too little this year. These fellows are starting to get restless."

Liu Jiangyi was puzzled, "Fed?"

"Oh, I mean the offerings for them were too few. Hantie City doesn't know how to handle things; can't they catch more grasshoppers from those worlds to feed them?"

"It's a good thing we encountered this. If the Junior Brothers who returned to the Sect yesterday had encountered these Dimensional Beings causing trouble, they wouldn't have been so lucky."

Li Changsheng spoke lightly.

But Liu Jiangyi's mind suddenly trembled!

Offerings?

Grasshoppers?

Those worlds?

Liu Jiangyi almost instantly connected these words with the conscription day.

Could it be... that those people from City 39 who were chosen and taken away, all became food for Dimensional Beings?
