166: It's a miracle!

Ya Ya’s whimpering scream pierced the deathly silence.

Her small hands desperately reached forward, and a suffocatingly rich, pure emerald-green life energy, without a trace of impurity, surged out of her tiny body like a bursting dam or the most vibrant morning sun in early spring, as if it cost her nothing!

This energy was not merely a healing light; it contained the most primitive, most fundamental rule of “life”!

The emerald-green radiance instantly engulfed Lin Feng, the Alien Queen, and the Alien Queen herself who was supporting them.

The terrifying penetrating wound on Lin Feng's chest, pierced by his own bone blade, and the countless cracks all over his body caused by energy backlash and the Void Insect Mother's mental assault, wildly wriggled, grew, and mended at a visible speed under the emerald-green light—muscles, blood vessels, and bones!

His ashen face quickly regained its rosy color, and his faint, almost vanished breathing and heartbeat, as if injected with a powerful stimulant, instantly became strong and vigorous!

The Alien Queen’s hard carapace and gruesome wounds, corroded by the Boundary-Eroding Ants and torn by the Void Insect Mother’s energy impact, also rapidly regenerated and repaired in the emerald-green light!

Even the part where she was stabbed by Lin Feng's bone blade quickly healed in the light, her cold black carapace becoming smooth and sharp again, and her low hiss turning into a hum of comfort.

Even more astonishing was that this immense life energy did not stop there.

As if possessing sentience, it actively permeated deep into Lin Feng and the Alien Queen’s bodies, nourishing their exhausted origins from extreme exertion and soothing severe mental trauma.

The violent, chaotic dark-purple energy within Lin Feng, on the verge of collapse, miraculously stabilized under the embrace of this pure life force, like a pacified beast, dormant deep within his body.

“This… what is this…?!”

Even with Yue Li’s composure, she couldn't help but gasp at this moment, an undisguised shock appearing on her exquisitely cold face for the first time!

Her deep eyes, reflecting countless spatial fragments, were fixed on Ya Ya.

Intense!

Too intense!

The level, purity, and sheer volume of this life energy completely exceeded Yue Li’s cognitive scope!

It was even more immense, purer, and closer to the origin of the “life” rule than the aura emanating from her father, the Moon God Venerable—known as the “Pillar of Life”—who was in seclusion deep within the Dragon Source Secret Realm in her memories!

How could this be?

A little girl who looked no more than seven or eight years old?

A little girl with no traces of energy cultivation on her, yet possessing such astonishing power of life origin?

This could no longer be described as a natural talent; this was simply… the embodiment of the rule of life!

Yue Li’s shock lasted only a fleeting moment.

She instantly realized that Ya Ya’s appearance, especially the undisguisable aura of life origin on her, was not a good thing at this moment.

Although the Void Insect Mother had retreated, there was no guarantee she hadn't left behind a means to spy, or that other, more powerful existences wouldn't perceive it.

This power was enough to drive any epic-level or even stronger existence mad!

This place was absolutely not safe to stay!

“Go!”

Yue Li made a decisive move, her clear, cold voice carrying an undeniable resolve.

She didn't even ask for Lin Feng or Ya Ya's consent; powerful spatial rule energy instantly activated.

Buzz!

Invisible spatial energy, like the most resilient silk, instantly and gently yet firmly lifted the unconscious Lin Feng, the Alien Queen—whose injuries were mostly recovered but still vigilantly guarding Lin Feng—and Ya Ya, whose face was somewhat pale from expending all her life energy, suspending them above the ground.

“Ah!”

Ya Ya exclaimed, seemingly only then noticing Yue Li’s presence, a hint of confusion and wariness appearing on her small face.

But Yue Li gave her no time to react.

With a flick of her jade hand, a spatial ripple, more condensed and profound than any before, spread out in front of her, forming a stable portal entrance.

At the other end of the passage, distorted light and shadow and energy fluctuations different from this world were faintly visible.

Yue Li stepped into the passage, followed closely by Lin Feng, the Alien Queen, and Ya Ya, who were enveloped by spatial energy.

Just as their figures were about to completely disappear into the spatial passage—

“Buzz…!”

Where the healed Void Insect Nest had vanished, that space trembled ever so slightly, like a beating heart, and an undetectable Void Mark, carrying greed and a sense of tagging, like invisible dust, quietly adhered to the edge of the spatial passage's ripple, then vanished.

Yue Li seemed to sense something, her delicate brows furrowing slightly as she cast a cold, sharp glance like a knife at the ruins, but with the passage about to close, she did not linger, disappearing completely from the spot with the three of them.

Inside the spatial passage, the light was strange and colorful, as if traversing through the fragments of a kaleidoscope.

The concepts of time and space became blurred here.

In his coma, Lin Feng only felt his body enveloped by warm and immense life force, like soaking in amniotic fluid within a mother's womb, comfortable and safe, his chaotic internal power slowly settling and repairing under the nourishment of the life energy.

The Alien Queen quietly curled up, her cold body instinctively drawing in the scattered life aura around her.

Ya Ya tightly hugged one of Lin Feng's arms, her small face pressed against him; she seemed to have overexerted herself and fallen into a deep sleep, but the emerald-green halo around her still slowly circulated, continuously nourishing Lin Feng and the Alien Queen.

Yue Li’s figure moved steadily through the passage, her clear, cold gaze sweeping over Lin Feng and Ya Ya, lingering on Ya Ya for a moment, her eyes filled with scrutiny and solemnity.

This little girl’s secret was probably even more astonishing than this young man's, who possessed a nascent rule and symbiotic alien beasts.

Father… perhaps he could discern something?

Her thoughts raced, and she accelerated the spatial passage’s speed by a few points.

It was unknown how long passed, perhaps an instant, or perhaps a long time.

When Lin Feng’s consciousness slowly surfaced from a warm, comfortable abyss of darkness, the first thing he felt was a peculiar tranquility.

There was no smell of smoke from ruins, no scent of blood, no nauseatingly sweet smell of void energy, and no intense pain or weakness from energy depletion after battle.

Instead, there was an indescribable freshness and… ancientness.

He slowly opened his heavy eyelids.

What met his eyes was not the expected white walls of a hospital or the tent ceiling of a temporary shelter.

This was an antique-style room.

The ceiling had rustic wooden beams, carved with intricate and profound cloud patterns, with faint streams of light subtly moving within the Texture.

The walls were built from some kind of warm, jade-like green stone, cool to the touch yet carrying a strange warmth.

A soft light, emanating from an unknown source, illuminated the entire room, the light even and comfortable.

The room’s furnishings were simple and elegant.

He lay on a large bed, covered with soft, snow-white animal fur, which felt as fine as silk and exuded a faint scent of grass and wood.

Not far from the bed was a rustic round table and two armchairs, made of a material that seemed neither jade nor wood, warm and substantial.

On the table sat a uniquely shaped bronze censer; there was no open flame inside, only wisps of light green smoke curling upwards, emitting a soothing fragrance that calmed the mind.

In the corner stood a curio cabinet, displaying several uniquely shaped artifacts that emitted faint energy fluctuations.

A mineral containing starlight, a jade bi flowing with water patterns, and a sheathless short sword, entirely black as ink.

The air was filled with an extremely pure, far superior to the outside world, natural energy; each breath felt like cleansing his lungs and nourishing every cell of his body.

Lin Feng could even feel that the originally violent and chaotic dark-purple energy within him, under the immersion of this environment, became more docile and condensed, and even his mutated insect arm felt an unprecedented comfort, as if soaking in a hot spring.

“This… where is this?”

Lin Feng was filled with surprise and doubt.

His last memory was of the ruins of Weiyang City, Yue Li’s cold figure, and before he collapsed from exhaustion, he seemed to have seen a flash of emerald-green light piercing through despair… Just as he struggled to sit up, attempting to circulate his internal energy to scout his surroundings… Tap… Tap… Tap… A light and rhythmic footsteps approached from outside the room.

The footsteps were very light, yet carried a peculiar penetrative quality, clearly reaching Lin Feng’s ears.

He immediately held his breath, suppressing the slight discomfort in his body, and vigilantly looked towards the closed wooden door, carved with strange patterns of flowers, birds, fish, and insects.

The Alien Queen was not by his side, which made his heart tighten slightly, but the sense of abundant power within him gave him a sliver of confidence.
