280: Swift Rat, everyone fears
“Three hours isn't enough for those people from Sakura Country to take 67th City; the city's protective shield alone will give them a hard time. We can finish up just as we arrive.” Yang Qianhun led his army, continuing towards 67th City, analyzing the situation in his mind.
As they passed through the forest, tens of thousands of eerie gazes flickered from deep within the woods.
“Seeing so many of us, yet still daring to ambush us, you’re truly courting death. Shadow Guard, kill them all,” Yang Qianhun ordered directly.
“Understood.”
Two hundred thousand Shadow Guard responded.
The next second...
Figures like red sharp swords shot out from the forest, a dense mass of them, swarming towards Yang Qianhun and the others.
[Identity: Ferocious Beast]
[Name: Gale Rat]
[Level: Level 30]
[Aptitude: Advanced Grade]
[Attribute: Wind]
[Status: Killing Intent]
[Skills: Gale Assault (Advanced Grade), Fierce Bite (Advanced Grade), Phantom Rush (Advanced Grade)]
[Weakness: Fire]
A Level 30 Gale Rat is equivalent to a Spirit Master Stage Ten, just one step away from breaking through to Spirit General Rank.
The ferocious beast, Gale Rat, is an extremely dangerous creature. Its body is much larger than an ordinary rat, reaching up to one meter in length, and its weight is astonishing.
Its entire body is covered in thick gray fur, as if it were the embodiment of a storm, wild and elusive.
The Gale Rat’s head is exceptionally hard, and its pair of red eyes gleam with a bloodthirsty light. Its teeth are like sharp blades, capable of easily tearing through any object. And its long tail, like a steel whip, is incredibly powerful, able to deliver fatal blows to enemies during an attack.
The Gale Rat’s four limbs are strong and powerful, its claws sharp and keen; whether it’s grasping, digging, or biting, these are its deadly weapons. Its most striking feature, however, is its pair of enormous wings. The wings are deep black, like the shadows of night, giving a mysterious and terrifying feeling. During high-speed flight, the wings emit a “whistling” sound, like a fierce wind, striking fear into the heart.
Gale Rats typically live in harsh environments, such as wildernesses, jungles, and mountains. They rely on their speed and strength, often preying on other small animals, and even daring to attack creatures larger than themselves. Due to their powerful offensive and defensive capabilities, Gale Rats have become the nightmare of many adventurers.
It is worth mentioning that Gale Rats are not without weaknesses. Although they move extremely fast on land and in the air, their strength and stamina are limited. If one can find the balance point between their strength and speed, it is possible to successfully resist or defeat this fierce creature.
Only ten thousand of the two hundred thousand Shadow Guard were dispatched, all of them experts at the Spirit General level.
The Shadow Guard burst forth from the shadows, instantly appearing around the ten thousand Gale Rats, holding their Shadow Blade, surrounding them completely.
Blade lights flashed one after another.
Squeak, squeak, squeak, squeak...
The cries of the Gale Rats echoed above the forest, blood splattering through the air. All ten thousand Gale Rats were completely slaughtered, offering no resistance, and transformed into points of light before disappearing.
Only thirty thousand blue light clusters remained, which Yang Qianhun collected into his spatial bag using Telekinetic Pickup.
Treasures and resources obtained:
1,000,000 portions of food, 1,000,000 pieces of wood, 10,000 greater restoration pills.
The ten thousand Gale Rats couldn’t even delay Yang Qianhun and his group for a moment.
It was as simple as casually stepping on an ant by the roadside; everyone continued their mighty march towards 67th City.
The million-strong army, wherever it passed, was imposing and vast, a dense, dark mass.
A terrifyingly thick killing intent could be felt from a hundred miles away, making hearts tremble.
“Holy crap, my eyes aren’t playing tricks on me, are they? Why are there so many people? Where are they going? And their marching speed is ridiculously fast? I still can’t see the end of them after all this time.”
A bald human lord a thousand miles away saw Yang Qianhun’s army moving through the forest and was so frightened by the terrifying killing intent that he immediately prostrated himself on the ground.
Then he whispered behind him, “What are you still standing there for? Get down, all of you, don’t let them discover us.”
The Soldiers behind him quickly prostrated themselves on the ground, not daring to move, fearing detection.
Another short-haired human lord nearby asked, “Could this be another group going to attack 67th City? What day is it today, for it to be so lively?”
The bald human lord frowned and said, “That number is estimated to be no less than five hundred thousand, perhaps even more; I can’t see the end of them. Which alliance is this, and how many lords and troops would it take to reach this scale?”
The short-haired human lord continued, “Those little Japs are attacking the city right now, they’re probably going to be ambushed by this group, caught off guard.”
“Sakura Country’s business has nothing to do with us, let them die. We only have a little over ten thousand men; even opening a treasure map is tough enough. Let’s wait until that group is far away before we advance,” the bald human lord continued.
The short-haired human lord nodded, looking cautiously at the dense, dark mass of Soldiers marching in the distance.
...
“So many people, run! What’s going on? How did so many people appear out of nowhere in the forest?” A blue-haired Demoness race lord looked at the vast army a thousand miles away, calling out to her Soldiers to retreat in another direction without looking back.
“Sister, aren’t those humans? If we use our charm, won’t they become our prisoners in minutes? Why run?” another pink-haired Demoness lord asked in confusion, but her body honestly followed along, running hard to retreat.
“There are at least seven or eight hundred thousand of them. Charm isn’t omnipotent. What if their realm is higher than ours? We wouldn’t even know how we died. Let’s retreat quickly; I wonder if they’re chasing us.” The blue-haired Demoness lord ran while looking back, seeing that the dense crowd didn’t pay attention to them, and slowly stopped her steps.
“So many people, they aren’t going to attack a city, are they? How many lords would it take to form an army of this scale? When did the human race become so strong?” The pink-haired Demoness lord frowned.
“You ask me, who am I supposed to ask? Whatever they’re going to do, it has nothing to do with us. It’s a good thing we didn’t encounter them head-on, or with our small number, we wouldn’t even know how we died,” the blue-haired Demoness lord said with a solemn expression.
...
“Damn, where did all these people come from? Every one of them is full of killing intent, scared me to death.”
“Holding guns, holding swords, all sorts of weapons, strange clothes. What kind of troops are these? Why are there so many of them?”
