44: Chapter 44 is over; Elder Yun's precious disciple is lost.

The next day.

When the first ray of morning light penetrated through the gaps of the vines and shone into the cave,

Lin Bingyao slowly opened her eyes.

A night of meditation left her feeling refreshed and full of energy.

The tyrannical spiritual power of the bear paw meat, coupled with her own healing Medicinal Pill, worked hand in hand, causing her injuries within her body to have already healed, and even her cultivation faintly made some progress.

She felt that she was at an unprecedented Peak state.

A faint aroma of meat porridge drifted into the tip of her nose.

She turned her head to look, only to see Zhao Ruoan sitting by the campfire, stirring a simple stone pot with a wooden spoon.

Inside the pot, it was bubbling and emitting heat.

In Lin Bingyao's heart, an unspeakable warm current flowed.

This fellow, clearly able to lie down and "Cultivate" by himself, still got up early in the morning to prepare breakfast.

"You're awake?"

Zhao Ruoan perceived her movement and said without turning his head.

"Come over and eat something, then we will set off."

"Alright."

Lin Bingyao responded softly, walked over to the campfire and sat down.

Zhao Ruoan handed her a washed wooden bowl, filled with steaming hot meat porridge.

The porridge was boiled using the fine meat of some Yao Beasts, and some herbs for calming the mind and soothing the qi were added inside. The taste was delicious, and it was warm and smooth upon entering the mouth.

With a bowl of porridge down her stomach, Lin Bingyao only felt that her entire body was warm. The fatigue and panic of the past few days were dispelled quite a bit by this plain warmth.

The two finished breakfast and tidied up simply.

"I am ready."

Lin Bingyao stood up, holding that crimson long sword in her hand once again, and her entire person's Aura became different.

"That legacy mansion is right in the inner region of the Tianyao Mountain Range. The journey is not short, let's go."

Zhao Ruoan nodded, carrying his sword behind his back.

"You lead the way."

Lin Bingyao said no more, identified the direction, took the first step, and walked towards the depths of the dense forest.

...

The two of them, one in front and one behind, shuttled through the forest.

Holding a yellowish animal skin map, Lin Bingyao stopped from time to time to compare the surrounding mountain features and rivers.

Following behind, Zhao Ruoan was unhurried, with a leisurely posture.

"Bingyao, what is the origin of your map?" He was somewhat curious.

The material of this map was extraordinary, and the routes drawn on it were tortuous and complex. At a glance, it was clearly not an ordinary item.

"Previously, when executing a Sect mission, I killed a Disciple from a hostile Sect and seized it from him." Lin Bingyao replied, her tone very calm.

Hearing this, Zhao Ruoan clicked his tongue in wonder internally.

Good fellow, he himself went out to reap a windfall, while this person was also someone who killed people to plunder treasures.

It seemed that none of those who could become a Personal Disciple were easy to deal with.

"It seems that you, Bingyao, are also a person with profound Luck." Zhao Ruoan said sincerely.

Lin Bingyao's footsteps paused for a moment, she glanced back at him, and a trace of unnaturalness surfaced on her cheeks.

"Compared to you, it counts for nothing."

She said this sentence sincerely.

"Don't say that," Zhao Ruoan waved his hand, "If you don't mind, just call me Ruoan directly in the future."

"Alright, Ruoan." Lin Bingyao acknowledged, her voice a bit lighter than before.

The estranged form of address was discarded, and the atmosphere between the two of them became much more harmonious accordingly.

Advancing for about two more days.

The surrounding scenery underwent tremendous changes.

Ancient trees towered into the sky, blocking out the sun, and the air was permeated with a wild and ancient Qi.

The roars of Yao Beasts rose and fell one after another, and the coercion mixed within them made even Lin Bingyao feel a wave of palpitations.

They had completely broken away from the outer perimeter of the Tianyao Mountain Range, stepping into the true hinterland.

The Yao Beasts here started at the Pulse Condensation Realm at a minimum, and Spirit Sea Realm great demons also began to frequently haunt.

At a certain moment, an armored rhinoceros with a figure like a small mountain blocked the way. The tyrannical Qi emanating from its body was the genuine Early Stage Spirit Sea Realm.

Lin Bingyao was just preparing to draw her sword, and a fierce battle was inevitable.

But Zhao Ruoan walked out a step earlier, merely casually bringing his fingers together into a sword, and making a virtual slash towards the direction of the armored rhinoceros.

An invisible Sword Qi flashed past and vanished.

That overbearing armored rhinoceros's huge body suddenly stiffened, and extreme fear was revealed in its copper bell-sized eyes.

It did not charge, but instead emitted a mournful cry, turned its huge body around, and fled into the depths of the dense forest in a panic.

Lin Bingyao's hand holding the sword hilt stiffened once again.

"This is Fifth-Order Sword Intent?"

Without even needing to unsheathe the sword, an opening stance scared away a Spirit Sea Realm great demon?

She silently put her sword away, deciding to be a quiet background board.

Zhao Ruoan didn't think that much. He just felt that fighting was too troublesome; if they could be scared away, there was no need to make a move.

He suddenly remembered a matter.

He seemed to have come out for experiential training following the Sect's large main force, right?

Several days had already passed now, and he ran to such a dangerous place by himself. Would the Elder leading the team go crazy with anxiety?

Forget it, since he was already here.

Anyway, it was fine to rush back and report in before the experiential training ended; the problem wasn't big.

Zhao Ruoan's mindset was relaxed to a terrible degree.

...

Meanwhile.

In the temporary camp on the outer perimeter of the Tianyao Mountain Range, two leading Elders of the Qingxuan Sect were as anxious as ants on a hot pan.

"Elder Wang, still haven't found him?" Elder Xiong, who was responsible for this experiential training, had an extremely ugly expression.

Elder Wang wiped the sweat from his forehead, his voice trembling: "A radius of a hundred miles has been searched completely, and the transmission Jade Slip has no response at all. That brat Zhao Ruoan is just like he vanished from the human world!"

"Vanished from the human world?!" Elder Xiong's volume raised by eight octaves: "As a newly entered Disciple, where could he run off to? It's already been three days of lost contact! What if he didn't know the immensity of heaven and earth and barged into the inner perimeter of the mountain range..."

Halfway through his words, he didn't dare to think any further himself.

What kind of place was the inner perimeter?

Spirit Sea Realm great demons walked everywhere, and Pulse Condensation Realm were as numerous as dogs.

No matter how monstrously talented Zhao Ruoan was, he was only at the Perfection of the Spirit Gathering Realm!

"If any slight mistake happens with this, how are we going to account for it to Elder Yun's side?" Elder Wang wore a look of despair.

Thinking of Yun Qinghan's cold and peerlessly beautiful face, and her unfathomable strength, the two Elders felt a chill behind their necks.

"Stop talking nonsense! Continue searching!" Elder Xiong gritted his teeth: "Want to see people alive, want to see corpses dead! Even if we turn this Tianyao Mountain Range upside down, we must find him for me!"

The two prestigious Elders no longer had any demeanor of experts at this moment. Leading a team of Disciples, they rushed into the mountain forest once again like their tails were on fire.

After Zhao Ruoan and Lin Bingyao walked for a distance further, Lin Bingyao, who was leading the way, finally stopped her footsteps.

"According to the map's markings, it should be right around here."

She stood in front of an inconspicuous stone wall.

The stone wall was covered with moss and vines, looking no different from the surrounding mountain body.

Zhao Ruoan swept a circle, but didn't find any traces of an Immortal Cave. This concealment method was truly brilliant.

Lin Bingyao was not in a hurry to make a move, instead carefully investigating the vicinity.

She knocked on this stone at times, and pushed aside that patch of vines at other times. Her movements were proficient, clearly having prepared long ago.

Finally, her movements stopped in front of an ordinary boulder half a person tall.

"Found it, it's right here."
