25: Chapter 25 Little Sister Xun'er and Little Fairy Doctor

Wutan City, Yuhua Hall in the western market district.

At a table in the corner, Xiao Yi Xian was savoring her breakfast, her gaze sweeping toward the entrance from time to time.

The way her hand gripped her jade chopsticks betrayed her true feelings; she was not as calm as she appeared on the surface.

Just as she lowered her head to eat a piece of pastry, she suddenly felt the light dim.

Lifting her head slightly, she saw a young girl standing across from the table. The girl had a slender figure, was dressed in a long purple dress, possessed exquisite features, skin like jade, and an ethereal temperament, as if she were a fairy who had stepped out of a painting.

The moment she saw her, a flash of insight crossed Xiao Yi Xian's mind. She guessed the girl's identity, and her thoughts became a tangled mess.

It was only when the girl in the purple dress smiled and spoke that she snapped out of it: "The first floor is crowded and chaotic. Would you be interested in joining me in a private room on the third floor, Sister?"

"Since you have so kindly invited me, Sister, I would be more than happy to," Xiao Yi Xian replied. A speculation flashed through her mind, and she agreed without hesitation.

Xun'er led Xiao Yi Xian up to a private room on the third floor and had the manager arrange for a servant to bring over a portion of all the breakfast items she usually enjoyed.

Once the food was served, Xun'er spoke softly: "Seal the space. Do not let anyone hear the sounds inside the room."

"Yes, Miss." A woman's voice responded.

A ripple of space appeared invisibly, enveloping the independent private room.

"Hello," Xun'er said, extending her hand toward Xiao Yi Xian. "Sister Xiao Yi Xian."

"Hello," Xiao Yi Xian replied, instinctively reaching out to shake Xun'er's hand and forcing a smile. "Gu... Sister Xiao Xun Er."

Facing someone as dazzling in every aspect as Xun'er, Xiao Yi Xian inevitably felt a sense of inferiority.

She was an orphan who might even be the one who caused her mother's death, while Xun'er's father was a Nine-Star Dou Sheng.

Just based on this alone, the difference between them was like that of a star in the sky and mud on the ground.

"Just call me Xun'er," Xun'er said as she withdrew her hand, completely confirming the speculation in her heart.

Xiao Yi Xian also possessed a journal copy (observational copy), and her goal in coming to Wutan City was Xiao Ting.

"Sister Xiao Yi Xian, do you want to see Xiao Ting?" Xun'er asked, getting straight to the point.

"I do," Xiao Yi Xian said truthfully, her gaze burning. "I want to know some things, to verify the suspicions I've held for a long time. I want to know about my future."

Xun'er nodded slightly and began to eat her breakfast gracefully. "Then I will bring Xiao Ting here tomorrow for a chance encounter with you, so he doesn't become suspicious."

"You are willing to help me?" A look of surprise flashed in the depths of Xiao Yi Xian's eyes.

She had thought Xun'er was here to warn her to stay away from Xiao Ting; that was how it was always written in storybooks.

Seeming to guess Xiao Yi Xian's thoughts, Xun'er spoke up: "If I could, I wouldn't want you to have any contact with Xiao Ting. My intuition tells me that you hold an extraordinary position in his heart, or rather, in the hearts of the readers he mentions."

"A white moonlight, a cinnabar mole, a unresolved regret—you are Xiao Ting's unresolved regret, after all."

Whether it was an illusion or not, Xiao Yi Xian always felt that there was a hint of jealousy in Xun'er's tone.

"Then why..." Xiao Yi Xian opened her mouth, wanting to ask why she was helping her instead.

But when the words reached her lips, she roughly guessed the answer.

It must be that Xun'er did not want to expose the existence of the journal copy.

If she took action against her, it would sooner or later arouse Xiao Ting's suspicion.

Blocking is not as good as guiding; helping her would allow her to keep things within her ideal scope.

"I have no ulterior motives," Xiao Yi Xian said, her thoughts racing as she hurriedly clarified. "I just want to verify the authenticity of the content in the jour... in that thing, and verify one thing that I care about most. If possible, I would also like to know some information about my future."

"I believe you," Xun'er indicated that Xiao Yi Xian didn't need to rush to explain. "But you don't need to speak in absolutes; no one can be certain about the future."

"Xiao Ting is very outstanding; even I have fallen for him. It would be normal for you to have other thoughts after meeting him."

"If you have the ability to become his confidante, I have no objections."

"Ah!?" Xiao Yi Xian widened her eyes, thinking she had misheard.

"Can't figure it out?" Xun'er put down her jade chopsticks and sighed softly. "Xiao Ting and I are childhood sweethearts; there are no problems with our feelings."

"Under normal circumstances, I will return to the Gu Clan in a few years, and my growth rate will certainly be faster than Xiao Ting's."

"I will always be stronger than Xiao Ting, and I will always be able to help him, always being the one to support him."

Speaking of this, Xun'er chuckled softly before continuing: "A beauty's kindness is heavy. Based on my understanding of Xiao Ting, he wouldn't do anything to betray me, and I wouldn't be willing or agree to share him with anyone else."

"But things are different now. He has awakened memories of his past life, and he also possesses the Diary."

"Xun'er!" Xiao Yi Xian stood up abruptly, looking at her in panic.

"What's wrong?" Xun'er took a sip of clear tea, her expression composed.

"It's not that you can't, but how could you..." Xiao Yi Xian asked, confused.

"I haven't violated any restrictions." Xun'er poured tea for Xiao Yi Xian with a relaxed smile. "I cannot tell others, but do you need me to tell you?"

Xiao Yi Xian realized instantly that she also possessed a Diary observational copy, knew of the Diary's existence, and could see the content on it.

She was an insider just like Xun'er, so exchanging relevant information would not be judged as "leaking" by the journal copy.

"But you are too bold, saying those two words directly." Xiao Yi Xian still felt lingering fear.

"We have communicated so much; if it counted as a violation, we would have already been warned." Xun'er remained calm, gestured for Xiao Yi Xian to sit down, and continued: "Xiao Ting has the Diary."

"Don't say those two words." Hearing it made Xiao Yi Xian feel terrified. She reminded her with a serious expression: "Sometimes, an unintentional mistake can ruin yourself."

"I know your status is special and that there are many experts protecting you, so you aren't afraid of being overheard."

"But if you get used to saying it and mention it in front of others, it will harm you."

Xun'er could feel the sincerity in Xiao Yi Xian's tone, as well as her genuine gentleness. The guard in the depths of her eyes quietly faded away, and she nodded with a smile: "Sister Xiao Yi Xian is right; one cannot be too cautious about this matter. Then let's just keep it between us?"

"Mm." Xiao Yi Xian nodded slightly, picked up her teacup, and took a sip to calm her nerves.

"Back to the previous topic." Xun'er rested her chin on one hand, supporting it on the table. "Xiao Ting knows too much. Even without my help in the future, he will be able to become stronger rapidly. Even reaching the Dou Di level is just a matter of time."

"Under these circumstances, I have no right to demand that he remain constant. Women are also standard for strong men. If he wants to find a few confidantes, I wouldn't be willing, but I wouldn't oppose it either, and it's even more impossible for me to separate from Xiao Ting because of it."

Before, she just liked Xiao Ting as a person and had even thought about letting Xiao Ting live off her for the rest of his life.

Now, knowing that Xiao Ting has a limitless future and is starting at the level of a Dou Di, even considering the reality from the perspective of a young lady of an Emperor Clan, she could not let go.

Both emotion and reality made it impossible for her to let go, so she could only convince herself to accept it.

Xiao Yi Xian roughly understood Xun'er's thoughts, but she was still somewhat puzzled: "Even if you can accept it, you don't have to tell me, right?"

Analyzing it from a realistic perspective, she might not have had such thoughts originally, or she might not have dared to due to Xun'er's status, position, and strength.

But with Xun'er saying it like this, she might develop such thoughts, and she wouldn't hide them either.

"Of course I have to tell you." Xun'er saw through Xiao Yi Xian's thoughts and said nonchalantly: "Because, now you are the same kind of person as me—a true peer."

"Don't you realize that when you obtained the qualification to observe, you already became completely different?"
