172: Chapter 171 Spirit-Nourishing Tea Tree

Over the next few days, the Spirit Beast Hall was exceptionally lively.

Everyone in the sect knew that the Sect Master had acquired a new mount—the Primordial Heaven-Swallowing Tiger, a Peak True Immortal Realm existence with a Bloodline so noble it was terrifying.

Da Bai usually didn't like to move; it shrank its size and sprawled on a soft couch specially prepared for it in the Spirit Beast Hall. Its entire body was snow-white, and its dark-gold patterns had narrowed into several faint, thin lines.

Its fluffy tail flicked back and forth, making it look like a white cat from a distance.

But no one dared to truly treat it as a cat—that faint, lingering pressure forced the Yao Beasts in the Spirit Beast Hall to hold their breath.

The Disciples of the Spirit Beast Hall were busy rushing about, bringing out all sorts of delicacies and spiritual fruits.

Jin Yuanhao personally carried a plate of Thousand-year-old Vermilion Fruits, his face covered in smiles:

"Lord Bai, please try this. These Vermilion Fruits from Mount Huoling in the Southern Territory are very sweet."

Beside him, one Disciple held Jade Marrow Liquid, another carried Amethyst Grapes, and someone else held an entire roasted spiritual bird, glistening with oil.

Da Bai glanced over, its nose twitching, showing no interest.

Jin Yuanhao's forehead broke into a sweat as he switched to another plate:

"What about this? The liver of a North Sea Flood Dragon, incredibly fresh and tender."

Da Bai shot him a glance and yawned.

Everyone looked at each other in dismay.

This wouldn't do, that wouldn't do; what on earth did it want to eat?

Just then, a Disciple passed by carrying a teacup. Da Bai's eyes suddenly lit up, its ears perked up, and its gaze fixed intently on the cup of tea.

It remembered that its master always loved drinking this stuff; every time he held a teacup, he looked very much like he was enjoying himself.

Jin Yuanhao froze for a moment and asked tentatively, "Lord Bai, do you... want this?"

Da Bai nodded, its tail wagging gently.

Jin Yuanhao took the cup of tea and presented it to Da Bai with both hands.

Da Bai leaned in, stuck out its tongue for a lick, squinted its eyes, and made a purring sound in its throat.

It took a few more licks, growing more enthusiastic as it drank.

The cup of tea was soon empty. It looked up, staring expectantly at Jin Yuanhao.

Jin Yuanhao was completely dazed.

The Sect Master loves tea, and this tiger loves tea too?

He swallowed and asked cautiously, "Lord Bai, do you want more?"

Da Bai nodded again.

Jin Yuanhao hurriedly ordered someone to brew more tea.

The Disciples of the Spirit Beast Hall looked at each other, and someone whispered:

"Will our hall need to hire a dedicated tea master from now on?"

The person next to him couldn't help but chuckle.

Da Bai lay on the soft couch, its tail flicking, waiting for the next cup of tea.

More and more Disciples gathered around to watch, some holding Recording Stones to secretly film the scene.

They planned to go back and brag to their fellow Disciples; a tiger that loves tea—this was a first.

A young Disciple of the Golden Roc Clan rushed into the Spirit Beast Hall and saw Jin Yuanhao squatting in front of Da Bai, carefully handing over a cup of freshly brewed spirit tea.

The young Disciple was momentarily stunned but still braced himself to step forward:

"Jin Yuanhao... that matter you mentioned before, there's a lead."

Jin Yuanhao didn't even look up:

"Can't you see I'm busy attending to Lord Bai? What is it that can't wait?"

The young Disciple swallowed and lowered his voice, "It's about the Yunling Tea Tree."

Jin Yuanhao's hand shook, nearly knocking over the teacup.

He whipped his head around, his eyes wide:

"What did you say?"

"There's a clue about the Yunling Tea Tree."

The young Disciple repeated himself.

"Tell me in detail, what's the situation?"

The young Disciple said:

"I heard in the Southern Territory that someone saw a tea tree that is emerald green all over and radiating intense Spiritual Qi in the Cangmang Mountains on the border of the Ten Thousand Demon God Kingdom."

"According to the description, it is very likely the Yunling Tea Tree that the Sect Master has been thinking about."

Jin Yuanhao's eyes lit up, and he rubbed his hands together:

"Good! Excellent! The Sect Master will definitely be very happy to know this."

He paused for a moment.

"Continue monitoring and find out the exact location. Once confirmed, report back immediately."

The young Disciple acknowledged and turned to leave.

Jin Yuanhao stood at the entrance of the Spirit Beast Hall, watching the Golden Roc Clan Disciple depart, his heart filled with excitement.

He had been secretly investigating the matter of the Yunling Tea Tree on his own.

Although the Sect Master hadn't explicitly ordered it, as the Jin Yuanhao of the Spirit Beast Hall and the one in charge of the Golden Roc Clan, he had enough foresight to know what to do.

Thus, lately, he had been sending people everywhere to inquire, hoping to find the Yunling Tea Tree and give the Sect Master a surprise.

Now, there was finally some progress.

Just as he was planning the next steps, a low growl suddenly came from behind him.

Jin Yuanhao turned around and saw that Da Bai had stood up from the soft couch at some point, its blood-moon-like eyes staring straight at him, its tail swaying slowly.

There was clear interest in those eyes, as if asking: What is this tea tree you just mentioned?

Jin Yuanhao froze for a moment, then realized that this tiger also loved tea; it had enjoyed that cup of spirit tea more than anyone.

Having heard the words "Yunling Tea Tree," it had most likely taken an interest as well.

"Lord Bai, are you also interested in this tea tree?" Jin Yuanhao asked tentatively.

Da Bai nodded, making a purring sound in its throat, stepped up to him, and rubbed its head against his arm.

Jin Yuanhao was overwhelmed by the favor and hurriedly said, "Then... how about we go report to the Sect Master together?"

Da Bai nodded again, its tail wagging even more enthusiastically.

Jin Yuanhao took a deep breath and led Da Bai toward the Sect Masters Hall.

The Disciples they met along the way stepped aside, staring dumbfoundedly at the palm-sized white cat walking with elegant steps behind Jin Yuanhao.

Why did this tiger suddenly become so spirited?

Inside the Sect Masters Hall, Lin Chen was holding a teacup, drinking leisurely.

Seeing Jin Yuanhao enter with Da Bai, he raised an eyebrow:

"What is it?"

Jin Yuanhao stepped forward and bowed, his voice tinged with irrepressible excitement:

"Sect Master, I have been secretly sending people to investigate the whereabouts of the Yunling Tea Tree, and we finally have a lead. That tea tree is in the Cangmang Mountains on the border of the Ten Thousand Demon God Kingdom in the Southern Territory."

Lin Chen put down his teacup, his eyes lighting up.

The Yunling Tea Tree?

He had been talking about it for so long, and finally, there was news.

He glanced at Da Bai, who was lying at his feet. Da Bai was looking up expectantly at his teacup, its tail wagging gently.

The corners of Lin Chen's mouth curled up slightly, and he reached out to pat Da Bai's head:

"I didn't expect you, little tiger, to share the same hobby as me. You truly are my mount."

Da Bai squinted its eyes, letting out a satisfied purr.

Lin Chen withdrew his hand and looked at Jin Yuanhao:

"In that case, Jin Yuanhao, you and Da Bai take a trip to the Southern Territory. 'Invite' that Yunling Tea Tree back for me."

Jin Yuanhao hurriedly bowed, "Your subordinate obeys!"

Da Bai stood up and shook its fur, its eyes full of eagerness.

Lin Chen took a sip of tea and added:

"Be careful, don't get hurt."

Jin Yuanhao acknowledged and led Da Bai out of the hall.

Da Bai walked ahead with a brisk pace, its tail held high, like a cat eager to find treasure.

Jin Yuanhao followed behind, secretly planning to handle this matter perfectly to make the Sect Master happy.

The two beasts walked out of the mountain gate.

Jin Yuanhao looked up at the sky and turned to Da Bai:

"Lord Bai, let's go to Xuanqi City first to use the teleportation array. The Southern Territory is far away, and I am only a Quasi-Emperor; flying would be too slow."

Da Bai shook its head and swiped its paw in front of it. The Void Realm split open silently, creating a rift.

Da Bai stepped inside and looked back at Jin Yuanhao.

Seeing this, Jin Yuanhao hurriedly followed.

The moment they stepped into the Void Realm, a gentle power emanated from Da Bai, enveloping him completely.

Soon, they arrived in the Southern Territory.

Jin Yuanhao couldn't help but marvel in his heart; a Peak True Immortal Realm was indeed different.

This speed was just ridiculous.

Southern Territory, Cangmang Mountains, arrived.
