64: Chapter 64 Let Fists Speak
Over an hour later, Cao Xiao passed through Provincial Road 302 in Ji Province and reached the nearest town, Manjiang Town. He took An Ni for a meal, found a hotel to book two rooms, settled An Ni in, and returned to his own room.
As soon as he turned on his phone, the notification sounds rang incessantly. Having been out of contact with the outside world for several days, there were dozens of missed calls—from his parents, Old Chen, Hao Linger, He Yueyou, and others. He ignored the rest for now, planning to deal with them after returning to Huanghe City, and first called his parents to let them know he was safe.
The next day, Cao Xiao took An Ni to the town's streets to buy many baby supplies and a set of clothes for An Ni. After preparing the items needed for the journey, they finally set off.
The distance from Ji Province to Huanghe City was over two thousand kilometers, passing through seven provinces. If driving without rest, it would take a day. Considering he was traveling with an infant, the speed couldn't be too fast. With frequent stops and rest, it was estimated to take three days to arrive.
The journey was uneventful, and they arrived in Huanghe City by noon on the third day. Cao Xiao was exhausted. During the trip, An Guoer (the name of the baby girl) hadn't cried much, otherwise they wouldn't have arrived early. However, it was quite hard on An Ni; she suffered from motion sickness and couldn't sleep even when tired, as she had to look after An Guoer at all times.
Cao Xiao didn't take An Ni home. It would be difficult to explain why he had returned from a trip with a girl and a child, especially a foreigner. He settled An Ni in the Tianxing Garden villa and asked Sister Li, the cleaner who had already started working of her own accord, to help look after them. An Guoer was only three months old and couldn't rely solely on formula. After consulting Sister Li, he learned about a profession called a postpartum nanny. Some qualified ones could not only take care of children but also provide breast milk.
The domestic service company where Sister Li worked happened to have a recently divorced woman who had applied to be a postpartum nanny while bringing her own four-month-old child. Because of this, no one was willing to hire her. Cao Xiao asked Sister Li to help contact her; he didn't mind her bringing her child to work.
As for An Ni, Cao Xiao planned to ask Chen Huaiyu for help with her household registration and then arrange for her to go to school. The education system in North Korea was different from the domestic one, and An Ni had dropped out after the first year of junior high. So, before starting school, he would need to hire a teacher to give her some remedial lessons. There were still several months before the new semester began, so he could just post a recruitment notice on a job website and wait for news.
Thinking about An Ni and An Guoer, Cao Xiao suddenly felt like a parent.
It was getting late, and he had to go home. With Sister Li's help, he didn't need to worry about An Ni and her niece. However, An Ni was reluctant to let him go. When he was leaving, she grabbed his arm and tried to follow him while holding An Guoer. Cao Xiao had to comfort her for a long time before she agreed to stay.
Driving back to Biyuntian Villa, his parents had already prepared a large table of food, knowing he was coming back. But although they were happy, their faces showed a hint of worry. Thinking something had happened, Cao Xiao asked, "Dad, Mom, did something happen at home?"
"It's not a big deal. Xiao Xiao, do you know that someone moved into our house?" His mother said after exchanging a look with his father.
"I don't know. Who moved in? Do I know them?" Cao Xiao was puzzled, not knowing why his mother would ask such a thing.
"It's a friend of Xiao Fan's, a man. Didn't she tell you?" His mother said.
"Mi Fan's friend? And a man? Mi Fan doesn't have a boyfriend, and her family isn't here, so why would he move into my house? What did Mi Fan say?" Cao Xiao thought back carefully. Mi Fan had told him about her situation; forget a boyfriend, she didn't even have many friends besides Liu Chang and the others. Liu Chang and the rest even called Mi Fan the 'Cold Flame Queen,' saying boys would instinctively stay away from her. Where did this man suddenly come from?
"Mi Fan isn't happy either; she says she doesn't know him. Liu Chang and the others don't like him either, but they can't drive him away. That boy seems to have a very influential background; calling the police was useless. He's not polite at all, treating this place like his own home. He plays loud music in the living room every day, so we can't even take a nap. We were afraid of causing trouble for you, so we didn't tell you." His mother said helplessly.
"Mom, where is that guy now? This is my house! Watch me beat him to a pulp!" Cao Xiao was already furious. That bastard actually dared to use his family background to pester his sister, move into his home so brazenly, and make things so difficult for his parents. If he didn't teach him a lesson, Cao Xiao wouldn't be able to quell his rage.
"Xiao Xiao, don't get worked up. Even the police can't do anything to him. We'll just endure it and it'll pass. Don't go looking for trouble." Seeing Cao Xiao's anger, his father quickly tried to persuade him.
"Dad, Mom, don't worry. Didn't I take a teacher recently? His eldest son is the Executive Vice Commissioner of Huanghe City. Although I won't use my influence to bully others, I won't let others bully me. I'll give him a call right now." Cao Xiao comforted his parents.
"Hello, Big Brother. Yes, I just got back today. Oh, I'll come to see you tomorrow to talk about that. Right now, I need your help with something. It's like this: an unwelcome guest has moved into my house and is making my whole family miserable. My family called the police, but the person seems to have a powerful background, and the police can't handle him. His name? Wait a second, let me ask..." Cao Xiao explained the situation to Chen Huaiyu. He didn't care about the guy's background; even if Chen Huaiyu couldn't help, the fact that he made his parents suffer meant Cao Xiao wouldn't mind using extraordinary means. At that point, not even the Heavens could save him.
"Mom, what's that person's name? Where is he from?" Cao Xiao covered the mouthpiece and asked his mother.
"His name is Jiang Hengyu. I heard he's from Yunnan Province."
"Big Brother, the guy's name is Jiang Hengyu, from Yunnan Province. The Jade King's grandson? His uncle is a leader in our Provincial Department of Transportation? So he's a notorious bastard! Alright, have them come to No. 33, Biyuntian Villa District. Okay, I'll definitely come over tomorrow." After getting the answer from Chen Huaiyu, Cao Xiao hung up and said to his parents, "Dad, Mom, don't worry. You don't need to be afraid of that guy. Big Brother... that is, my teacher's eldest son, said the guy is a notorious bastard and told me to beat him as hard as I want. The city police will be here in a moment. We'll definitely make that guy crawl out of here today."
"Just let him move out. Don't resort to violence." His mother was still worried that Cao Xiao would be impulsive.
"Alright, as long as he leaves obediently, we'll talk about the rest later." Cao Xiao said, though he didn't mean it.
He wouldn't let that bastard off easily. The guy had bullied his way into his home and harassed his parents. So what if he was the Jade King's grandson? Even if the Jade King himself came, Cao Xiao would crush him with jade. This time, he had to use this bastard to establish his authority. Although those prominent figures didn't know who he, Cao Xiao, was, they only needed to know that his bite was painful. One couldn't reason with such a person; everyone understands logic, and everyone thinks their own logic is correct. Cao Xiao wasn't in the mood to re-educate him. He would speak with his fists and make the pain unforgettable.
Before the police arrived, the girls returned. Three cars drove into the courtyard. Liu Chang's and Mi Fan's cars were in front, and the last one to enter was a yellow ferrari sports car. Mi Fan and Liu Chang drove slowly, but the ferrari accelerated quickly, its engine roaring incessantly as it tailgated Mi Fan's car, pressuring her to drive faster. It was definitely intentional.
Cao Xiao hadn't planned to strike immediately, but he couldn't help himself when he saw this. A silver-bright, long-handled metal hammer appeared silently in his hand. With a grim face, he strode toward the ferrari.
"Bang!"
A huge dent was smashed into the ferrari's hood. The young man sitting in the car, who had been looking mockingly at Mi Fan's car in front, was startled by the sudden loud noise and reflexively slammed on the brakes. The car stalled immediately, but it wasn't over yet.
"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"
The hammer repeatedly struck the car body. The hood was covered in huge dents, the doors were all caved in, and the windshield shattered. The young man inside screamed in terror and jumped out of the car like a frightened rabbit.
