Chapter 101 Observations (Part 2)

Tang Heican had no recollection of what happened afterward.

He had already fallen fast asleep by then.

"When I woke up, I discovered that my wife had disappeared."

"I called her, but her phone was at home. Afterward, I called A Hao, but no one ever picked up."

"Since I couldn't reach anyone, I went looking for them. I drove over to Pingan Street to find A Hao, but the road was blocked, and I was told I couldn't pass."

"When I got back, I asked several friends to contact them, but they couldn't get through either."

"In the end, I decided to eat here and then go back to see if I could get in."

After the Tattooed Strongman Tang Heican finished speaking, he looked at Lu Xian.

Everyone who heard this found it strange as well.

livestream room comments:

[I have a bold guess, not sure if I should say it...]

[About the brother and wife disappearing after a midnight phone call?]

[Let's talk elsewhere / doge]

[Brothers, I feel like this phone call is not right.]

[Hiss... it's a bit like that rule in Madman Street, calling in the middle of the night to ask for an address...]

[You guys should be focusing on 'A Hao'.]

The crowd discussed it amongst themselves.

"Little Master, this is what I've experienced at Pingan Street these past two days," Tang Heican said, his expression hesitant.

"Hmm," Lu Xian nodded. "That is indeed strange. Your wife disappeared after answering the phone?"

Tang Heican nodded, looking regretful. "Sigh, the key is that I was sleeping too soundly and don't know what happened afterward."

"But my wife's phone, shoes, and keys were all at home, and she didn't even take her car out."

"She just vanished, safe and sound."

"So I hope Little Master can help me," Tang Heican pleaded.

Lu Xian nodded symbolically, looked at the others, and asked, "Does anyone else have a similar experience?"

Other diners spoke up one after another, "Yes, yes, yes!"

A middle-aged woman said in a loud voice, "Little Master, the faucet at home broke, and my son drove to a hardware store on Pingan Street early this morning to buy parts."

"He hasn't come back yet, and I can't reach him."

Hearing this, Lu Xian was surprised and asked tentatively, "Does your son know how to repair phones?"

The woman's expression brightened, and her eyes widened. "Oh my god, that's amazing!"

"Little Master, how did you know my son knows how to repair phones?!"

"You're an expert!"

Hearing this answer, everyone in the shop looked astonished. Could he have guessed right? No way, right?

Lu Xian was shocked in his heart and asked again, "Then does your son run a phone repair shop called [Blue and White Agency Phone Repair Shop]?"

As soon as these words were spoken, the woman was dumbfounded, her expression vivid. "Oh my god, you're a true master!"

"You even knew this!" The woman almost knelt down on the spot to call him an immortal.

No way?! He really guessed it? A small commotion broke out in the shop, with everyone whispering.

Lu Xian was stunned. Her son repairs phones?

That young man he met in Madman Street, who was selling hardware parts while putting up a sign for phone repairs—was he actually her son??

What a coincidence! But what is going on with all of this?! Wasn't it said that Madman Street was a virtual game?

Lu Xian thought for a moment and asked, "Where is your son's phone repair shop located?"

The woman replied, "Wencang Road, right next to Pingan Street."

Lu Xian was confused. That was strange.

Why did he see her son's phone repair shop sign while he was in Madman Street? And he could even see her son? It was too bizarre and too strange.

Lu Xian looked at them, his gaze inadvertently glancing outside the door. His heart suddenly tightened. "Something is wrong."

"This is the City of Terror! A place where strange and grotesque things exist everywhere!"

This fast-food restaurant must also have problems. But so far, he hadn't been able to discover any clues.

The people in front of him were just like ordinary people. The more ordinary they looked, the more problematic they were!

This is the City of Terror! There are instances with C-Class and above supernatural entities!

How could there be normal people here? Even if there were, they wouldn't be in this weird fast-food restaurant.

"My neighbor's son works at a bar on Pingan Street. After getting off work at three or four in the morning, he said he saw a ghost on the road, wearing red clothes."

"I really didn't know. Listening to you all, is there really a ghost on Pingan Street?"

"One or two incidents might be a coincidence. But since they've sealed off the streets and roads over at Pingan Street, it's likely something really went wrong."

The shop was noisy again, with endless discussion.

"Little Master, so do you think Pingan Street is really haunted?" someone suddenly asked.

The crowd fell into an eerie silence, their eyes all fixed on Lu Xian.

"What do you think?" Lu Xian looked at them and asked instead of answering.

[Damn, these people seem to have asked for the second time?]

[Is this a problem?]

[Hiss... could it be a supernatural rule? If Brother Lu answers yes, will they turn into ghosts?]

[Holy cow, don't say that, it's really possible!]

[What if he says no, then will they turn into ghosts and say: 'We are ghosts, heh heh heh'~]

The comments flooded the screen.

"Little Master, we're asking you." "That's right, we also want to know if there are ghosts in this world."

Everyone in the shop looked at Lu Xian with sinister expressions.

Lu Xian felt surprised. Could the question of whether or not there are ghosts be the keyword that triggers their supernatural rule?

Just like those strange rules in Madman Street?

"This... has ghosts..." Lu Xian began to say.

As soon as he finished speaking, a terrifying and sinister aura swept over. In an instant.

The entire fast-food restaurant seemed to undergo weathering and decay; the surroundings were covered in bloodstains, the floor and walls were covered in mold, and a putrid smell wafted over.

Everyone's faces and bodies began to become terrifying.

Dozens of notifications instantly appeared before Lu Xian's eyes:

[Pig Butcher: B-Class Evil Ghost.]

[Soul-Snatching Chef: B-Class Evil Ghost.]

[Fast-Food Restaurant Owner: B-Class Evil Ghost.]

...

Hiss, three B-Class Ghosts!! Can't beat them, can't beat them.

However, just at this moment. Lu Xian's eyelids twitched wildly, and he continued:

"This... has ghosts... it's impossible to have ghosts. Born under the red flag, raised in the spring breeze, you must believe in science."

After he finished speaking, the terrifying scene that had just appeared instantly dissipated. Everything before his eyes returned to normal.

[666~]

[Fake Taoist Lu says to believe in science, this statement is flawless.]

[This works? Brother Lu is smart.]

[Damn, there really is a problem! Everyone in this shop is a ghost!]

[What is the situation now? Supernatural interruption?]

Everyone in the livestream room was astonished, and the comments were discussing it heatedly.

"But why can't I reach my wife?"

"That's right, my son hasn't come back, I'm so worried."

"If there are no ghosts, why is the road blocked over there? I can't even go to work."

They started asking Lu Xian again. He interrupted the people in the shop.

"You don't need to worry, just wait here patiently."

"With my master stepping in, you will soon know the situation on Pingan Street."

"I won't talk to you for now; my master is sending me a message asking me to go over and help."

"I'm full from the soup, so I'll give these to you to ward off evil."

Lu Xian stood up and tossed the remaining garlic from his pocket to them.

"I'm going to find my master now, goodbye forever to you all."

Of the thirty-six stratagems, running away is the best. He didn't say another word, took two steps in one, and prepared to step out of the fast-food restaurant.
