191: The origin of the Hongmeng Ding

“Alright, Gu Junan’s matter is also settled.”

“Ten Thousand Demon Master, I have something for you to do…”

“You, He Chen, and Shui Ronghua take people to the depths of the River of the Other Shore to destroy Shanqiong Cave, and while you’re at it, search for any trace of the hongmeng cauldron.”

Wang Qing stood up, put away the black throne, gave a few instructions, and then his projection became dim, as if it would disappear at any moment.

Wan Luokuang was stunned for a moment when he heard Wang Qing’s command, then saw Wang Qing’s figure dissipating.

Soon, he realized that the current Wang Qing was just a projection.

He quickly asked, “Master, what is the hongmeng cauldron?”

“I’ve never heard of it, nor seen it. I’m afraid I won’t be able to find any trace of the hongmeng cauldron, right?”

The moment Wan Luokuang finished speaking.

Wang Qing was silent for a while, then casually summoned a scroll and threw it to Wan Luokuang.

Afterward, his figure completely dissipated, as if he had never appeared.

Wan Luokuang caught the scroll and glanced at it, seeing a mysterious and ancient small cauldron depicted on it.

The cauldron was covered in strange Dao patterns, exactly three thousand of them, corresponding to the power of the Three Thousand Great Dao.

Besides that, the scroll also explained the Origin of the hongmeng cauldron:

Long, long ago, the Nine Heavens were not yet open, and the Grandmist was undivided.

Zhuge Yuanxi descended from the Primordial Space, using Primordial Power to open the Nine Heavens and create the Hongmeng Sea amidst the vast mist.

The nascent Grandmist was divided into four regions: Eastern Source Sea, Western Source Sea, Southern Source Sea, Northern Source Sea, and the central region’s Hongmeng Island.

Since the birth of the Hongmeng Sea, there was only the single continent of the central Hongmeng Island.

The other four source sea regions were filled with surging, endless Origin Power of the Great Dao, giving birth to many forbidden forces and Nine Heavens wanderers.

The so-called wanderers were Transcendence Beings who had not joined any forbidden forces, as well as Immortal Kings and Immortal Emperors who had ascended from Below the Nine Heavens.

After Zhuge Yuanxi opened the Nine Heavens and created the Hongmeng Sea, she also conveniently refined the hongmeng cauldron, which could restrain the Origin Power of the Three Thousand Great Dao.

However, the hongmeng cauldron was lost after Zhuge Yuanxi initiated the War of Nine Burials to the Other Shore.

It was eventually obtained by Cave Master Shan Qiong, which led to Cave Master Shan Qiong and Master Wu Yan’s plan to drain the Functional Sea.

Wan Luokuang finished reading the explanation on the scroll.

He suddenly understood, never expecting that the Leader of the Transmigrator Alliance, “Zhuge Yuanxi,” had such a Heaven-Defying feat as opening the Nine Heavens.

“Hey, Ten Thousand Demon Master, don’t just stand there in a daze.”

“Ronghua and I came to the Demon Domain this time for the matter of mass refining the nine revolutions transcendence pill.”

“Quickly tell me, has there been any result regarding Lord Nine Abyss’s mass refining of the nine revolutions transcendence pill?”

“Then I’ll send the news back to the Primal Divine Court to tell Wang Qing’s father, and then we’ll go to the depths of the River of the Other Shore together!”

He Chen saw Wan Luokuang’s silence, walked over and patted his shoulder, asking about the mass refining of the nine revolutions transcendence pill.

Shui Ronghua also looked at Wan Luokuang with expectant eyes.

After all, whether the nine revolutions transcendence pill could be mass-refined concerned whether the two of them could step into the Dao Exhaustion Realm in a short time.

As for the other beings watching the excitement, they had already left one after another.

Only a few scattered beings remained, listening to He Chen, Shui Ronghua, and Wan Luokuang’s conversation.

“Brother He Chen, Lord Nine Abyss has attempted to mass refine the nine revolutions transcendence pill tens of thousands of times without success.”

“Just now, I saw Divine Lord Wang summon Lord Nine Abyss, the Wang family, and the Shui family elders to go handle some business Below the Nine Heavens.”

Wan Luokuang shook his head with a bitter smile.

He had originally planned to go to the Hongmeng Sea to report on the Alchemy matter to Wang Zhennan, but he unexpectedly saw an anomaly at Ten Thousand Demon Peak, so he came to check it out.

After arriving, he happened to see Wang Qing instructing Nine Abyss, Wang Jizi, and Shui Tianqiong to go handle business.

Afterward, he quickly rushed over to ask Wang Qing when he returned to the Hongmeng Sea.

It wasn’t until Wang Qing’s figure dissipated just now that he realized Wang Qing had not returned to the Hongmeng Sea, but had only temporarily returned through a projection.

“So that’s how it is…”

A hint of disappointment flashed in He Chen’s eyes; it seemed relying on the nine revolutions transcendence pill to complete the path of Transcension might not be feasible.

Shui Ronghua’s expression was also a bit unnatural.

However, he quickly cast aside the matter of the nine revolutions transcendence pill, then followed He Chen’s words, saying:

“Let’s put the nine revolutions transcendence pill aside for now. We should return to the River of the Other Shore to complete the task Divine Lord Wang assigned.”

Having said that.

Shui Ronghua looked at He Chen and Wan Luokuang again.

Wan Luokuang thought for a moment, “Wait, I’ll bring some people, and I’ll come to meet up with you two later.”

After speaking, he hurriedly left, intending to arrange the affairs of the Demon Domain before bringing some people to complete the task Wang Qing had assigned.

He Chen and Shui Ronghua saw Wan Luokuang quickly departing, and they were not in a hurry, intending to wait in front of the Bone Demon Palace.

Those scattered beings who had been eavesdropping on the conversation, seeing that nothing major was happening, each opened spatial passages and returned to the Hongmeng Sea.

Not long after… the ground in front of the Bone Demon Palace quieted down, with only He Chen and Shui Ronghua’s Divine Thoughts scanning the Devilish Qi flowing everywhere.

At the same time… Below the Nine Heavens.

Immortal Realm.

The New Era had quietly passed for hundreds of thousands of years.

Wang Qing had appeared once before, openly humiliating Gu Junan at the Ten Thousand Immortals Assembly.

Finally, he killed Chu Daosheng and Chu Xinghe, dismantling the Heavenly Fortune God Clan’s scheme to once again plant the Immortal Realm’s Luck.

Since then, the Ancient Heavenly Court created by Gu Junan, and the Eastern Cold Imperial Court created by the Heavenly Fortune God Clan led by Chu Daosheng, were destroyed.

The Immortal Realm, without an absolute Dominator, regained vitality, but it evolved into a huge and cruel gladiatorial arena.

Order had long since collapsed here, and the law of the jungle became the only iron rule.

Below the firmament, a clear blue sky was rarely seen, often stained by the monstrous Evil Qi and bloodshed stirred up by the conquests of various races, presenting an ominous dark red.

On the vast land, corpses lay everywhere.

Immortal veins, depleted and fractured due to excessive extraction and destructive wars, formed deep, bottomless, dark canyons, like ugly, unhealing scars on the Immortal Realm’s skin.

Every day, ancient tribes waged bloody battles for control of the remaining blessed lands;

Every hour, newly risen Sects launched endless challenges against old forces to plunder resources and Legacy.

In the Eastern Cold Immortal Domain, gigantic Essence Spirits manifested their true forms, devouring the sky and earth, clashing with human Immortal Kings until stars fell;

In the Western Cold Immortal Realm, demonic cultivators refined evil treasures with the souls of billions of beings, their grievances soaring to the heavens, drawing encirclement from Buddhism, yet often plunging into even more brutal melees;

In the Southern Cold Immortal Domain, plant Essence Spirits and ancient remnant tribes vied for living space, endless schemes emerging;

In the Northern Han Immortal Region, ancient aristocratic families in secluded cultivation could ignite tens of thousands of years of bloody strife over a single Innate relic.

The Primordial Beginning Immortal Domain, originally a nexus of various forces, was where the flames of war burned most fiercely, having long since devolved into a meat grinder.

Today you are king, tomorrow he ascends the throne; the speed at which the banners on the city walls changed was faster than an Immortal’s brief seclusion.

Slaughter became the norm, death as common as breathing.

Ordinary Immortal citizens lived precarious lives; perhaps a stray Divine Ability from the sky could reduce a prosperous Immortal city, along with its millions of inhabitants, to dust.

The chain of hatred extended infinitely; today you annihilate my entire family, tomorrow my Disciple will return, having cultivated successfully, to avenge this grudge—a cycle of vengeance with no end in sight.

The entire Immortal Realm was like an out-of-control primeval beast, sinking into the madness of self-cannibalization and destruction, without a glimmer of hope.
