332: Chapter 323 The Sixth Incarnation: Heavenly Venerable (Part 11)

A plain, ancient voice, devoid of any emotion yet sounding as if it rang directly in the depths of the Soul, clearly entered the ears of Ren Wuya and Blade Absolute Edge—no, it echoed directly within their minds.

There were no extra words, only a simple command, yet it carried a supreme majesty that was unquestionable and inviolable.

Ren Wuya's body shook, and he quickly bowed again: "I respectfully obey the Old Ancestor's decree!"

He straightened up, glanced at his grandson Blade Absolute Edge beside him with eyes full of encouragement and warning, then steadied his thoughts, took a step, and led the way toward the slightly ajar gates of the Hall of Ten Thousand Weapons.

Blade Absolute Edge took a deep breath, suppressed all stray thoughts, adjusted his state to its peak, and with a calm and firm gaze, followed half a step behind Ren Wuya, also moving forward.

Stepping through the gap in the palace gates formed by the Primeval Giant Axe felt like crossing a barrier of time and space.

All sounds and light from the outside world, and even the ubiquitous weapon-killing aura, vanished instantly.

In its place was an absolute, mind-numbing silence and depth.

The space inside the palace was far more vast than it appeared from the outside, as if it were a Small World of its own.

The floor, walls, and dome were all inlaid and forged from countless huge and ancient remains of divine weapons, emitting a dark metallic luster and a faint, eternal malevolence.

There were no lights; only the occasional faint cold glimmers flowing from the remains themselves, like the last moment before a star's annihilation, barely outlined the palace's vague and magnificent interior.

The air was permeated with a Dao Rhyme so heavy it was extreme, not of a single attribute, but the manifestation of the source of all weapons and the beginning of slaughter.

Every wisp of aura seemed to contain the ultimate Concept of a weapon, enough to make an ordinary Cultivator lose themselves instantly or even have their Dao Heart collapse.

Ren Wuya and Blade Absolute Edge held their breath and focused their minds, following a visible "road" paved with countless broken sword spines toward the deepest part of the palace, step by step.

Their footsteps were infinitely magnified in this absolute silence, yet they seemed so insignificant.

After walking for an unknown amount of time, perhaps just a moment, the field of vision ahead suddenly opened up.

A relatively empty area appeared before them.

In the center of the area was not an ordinary palace throne, but a massive, dark-gold "throne" twisted and coiled from countless ferocious blades.

The back of the throne was the phantom of a giant sword piercing the dome, its blade covered in cracks yet still emitting an aura that could cleave the heavens and split the earth; the armrests were formed by two Demonic Dragon Spears tearing at each other; beneath the base, dense phantoms of wailing and struggling Weapon Souls were suppressed.

And seated upon this terrifying throne was the supreme existence who ruled the Hundred Weapons Dao Realm and awed the heavens—the Hundred Weapons Dao Lord.

He was still in those simple grey cloth robes, his figure not particularly tall, even appearing somewhat blurred, as if merging with the surrounding environment of weapon remains.

But when you turned your gaze toward him, you would instantly forget everything around you; in your eyes and heart, only that figure remained, as if he were the source of all weapons and the Dominator of slaughter!

He did not intentionally emit pressure, but just by sitting there quietly, endless phantoms of blades were being born and destroyed around him, scenes of battlefields with iron horses and golden spears flickered, and fragments of the birth and fall of countless world-shaking divine weapons in the long river of time and space were flowing... He was the Incarnation of the Concept of "Weapon"!

Just as Blade Absolute Edge and Ren Wuya stepped into this area and their eyes touched the throne—

Seated upon the throne, the Hundred Weapons Dao Lord's eyes, which seemed to have been closed for ages, slowly opened.

"BOOM—!!!"

Blade Absolute Edge felt as if billions of thunders exploded in his mind simultaneously!

It wasn't a sound, but an impact of the Dao!

It was the pure, supreme Grand Dao of Weapons, directly reflecting upon his Divine Soul in an irresistible manner!

What he "saw" were no longer simple eyes, but two Universe vortices that were constantly being born and destroyed, enacting the weaponry of the heavens and containing the true meaning of endless slaughter!

Wherever his gaze reached, it seemed to trace back to the Origin, thoroughly perceiving, analyzing, and weighing him from Physical Body to Soul, from Aptitude to Comprehension Ability, from Dao Foundation to Luck, and even every trace of power's movement and the reason for every thought's birth and death!

Under the shroud of this gaze, Blade Absolute Edge felt as if he were standing naked in the ice and snow, or being placed on an invisible dissection table, where everything from the smallest particle to the most macroscopic Dao Rhyme structure was laid bare without any place to hide!

Blade Absolute Edge's nascent Saber Soul let out a sharp hum; it was an instinctive resistance and trembling in the face of a higher-level Dao pressure!

His 1500 points of Aptitude and Comprehension Ability allowed him to better adapt to this impact of Dao Rhyme, yet it also brought a clearer, stinging sensation of being "seen through"!

He could even "feel" that deep within his Soul, the dark-gold imprint personally planted by the Hundred Weapons Dao Lord was burning hot, as if resonating with the source, exposing everything about him even more clearly!

Pressure!

A sense of oppression far exceeding his previous life and beyond imagination!

This was not just a gap in the level of power, but an absolute chasm between the essence of life and the Realm of the Dao!

In his previous life, when Xu Yuan faced a Dao Lord, even though his strength was far inferior, he occupied the Human Dao, placing him on the same level in terms of status.

But in this life, the current Blade Absolute Edge had only just completed his Foundation Establishment; even though his Aptitude and Comprehension Ability far surpassed his previous life, it was to no avail.

This was a gap in status!

Like an ant looking up at the sky, or a speck of dust facing a sea of stars!

Blade Absolute Edge's bones made faint sounds of being overwhelmed, and his Divine Soul felt as if it were about to be torn apart by the endless weapon imagery contained in that gaze!

He had no doubt that this gaze alone was enough to make an ordinary Golden Core True Person's Dao Heart collapse and result in their Soul Flying Away and Spirit Scattering!

Blade Absolute Edge clenched his teeth, veins bulging at his temples. Relying on the resilient will honed through many lives of Reincarnation, he forced his spine straight, did not collapse, and even forcibly controlled his body's trembling to maintain a bowing posture.

His gaze remained lowered to show reverence, but his Divine Soul was like the toughest rock, firmly holding onto a point of clarity while enduring this peerless and terrifying scrutiny.

He knew that at this moment, he absolutely could not show weakness, let alone have any abnormal reaction.

Fortunately, in the deepest part of Blade Absolute Edge's consciousness, the completed Samsara Imprint acted like the deepest night, quietly shrouding and hiding the most core things.

Even someone as powerful as a Dao Lord was not enough to see through it!

The Hundred Weapons Dao Lord's gaze, like the most precise probe, swept over all the "appearances" Blade Absolute Edge presented:

That world-shaking Aptitude, that heaven-reaching Comprehension Ability, that majestic Luck, that transcendent Dao Foundation, that nascent Saber Soul, and even the Dao Lord imprint he himself had left in the boy's Soul... all of it was clearly reflected in his "Dao Eye."
