58: Chapter 58, the Battle for the Habitable Zone, Begins

The threat of death often unleashes greater potential. When their food was about to run out, the scientists who had been exiled to the Civilization ecological spacecraft finally solved the issue of component collapse during wormhole transit.

Not long after, over a hundred Earth stellar-class space warships equipped with jump engines passed through the wormhole and appeared 1.5 light-years outside the Oort Cloud.

Earth Humans had exhausted almost everything they had to seize this nearly perfect stellar Habitable Zone.

Before the final assault, Du Fei kept pleading with the Emperor: "Only by knowing oneself and the enemy can one be victorious. Since the humans in this star system have the ability to retrieve the Liz People from outside the star system, it shows that their strength cannot be underestimated. We should send personnel to scout the enemy situation first!"

After careful consideration, Chu Yuhang finally dispatched a six-person infiltration team led by Elisa.

The members all carried quantum conductors for communication, believing they had landed silently on the third planet.

Little did they know that their every move was being watched by the high-ranking military officials of Blue Star, who were even secretly opening backdoors to help them obtain fake identities.

General Commander Gu Qing, who was responsible for monitoring these people's actions, was very confused: "Are these clowns from that wandering Civilization that almost caused the Liz People to perish, called something like Earth? Why are we sitting still? Wouldn't it be easier to just capture them and interrogate them?"

The higher-ups only replied coldly: "These are the Holy See's instructions; we just need to follow them. Don't ask so many questions."

The six people stepped out of the shuttle, their feet finally touching the soil of the Habitable Zone planet, the paradise Earth Humans dreamed of day and night.

Everyone looked up at the azure sky, greedily breathing in the fresh air.

After a long while, Captain Elisa wiped away her tears and said chokingly: "Don't look like everyone has asthma. The Earth space fleet can see what's in front of us and hear the surrounding sounds through the conductors."

"Everyone, disperse and carry out the infiltration mission. Collect all useful intelligence for the upcoming Habitable Zone war."

Over the next few days, everyone in the Earth space fleet outside the Oort Cloud learned about this planet with its gentle and bright sunshine through the perspective of the infiltration team.

Many people's tears never stopped flowing.

It turned out that this planet, which was only slightly larger than Earth, was called Blue Star, and it turned out that the Blue Star people also called the star that illuminated them the Sun.

This Sun was even about the same size as the one Earth had fled from. However, compared to that Sun that had experienced a helium flash, it was younger, healthier, and more stable.

The diversity of the Blue Star races also opened the eyes of the Earth Humans.

Even though they all devoutly believed in the same god, their buildings were as varied and colorful as their races.

The Fish People's underwater city of Atlantis, the Winged People's hanging gardens, the Artisans' mechanical cities, and the Shu People's castles, which were similar to Earth's medieval era.

Even more bizarrely, many places on every continent of Blue Star had large-scale dinosaur parks and even habitats.

All of this left all Earth Humans deeply confused. On Earth, let alone dinosaurs, even among humans, only Homo sapiens had survived into the civilized era. How did this Blue Star develop such diversity?

Du Fei muttered to himself on the public channel: "The god of this Blue Star must be very kind; otherwise, it wouldn't have allowed so many species to develop so brilliantly."

Elisa said with a tone of disdain: "Kindness represents weakness. Even if there really is a god in this Solar System, it is a weakling god. The Habitable Zone is ours for the taking."

Having easily obtained a fake identity, she was smug, thinking it was due to her own cleverness and the imperfections of the Blue Star identity system.

At that moment, she was looking for a place to rent, wanting to integrate into Blue Star society as quickly as possible to provide cover for her infiltration mission.

Just then, a deep baritone voice drifted down from above: "This strangely-looking lady, you are standing on my foot."

Elisa clenched her fists, thinking to herself that she was a top-tier beauty back on Earth and would show this blind Blue Star person.

But when she turned around and saw his bulging belly, she dismissed the idea of slapping him—though, of course, she couldn't reach him anyway, as the person in front of her was a 3.5-meter-tall giant man.

So she could only say with an unhappy expression: "Your feet are too big; it's not entirely my fault that I stepped on them. Besides, your eyesight must be bad; I'm clearly very pretty."

The male giant seemed to be a fat otaku, holding a small game console in his palm, and replied with a sincere expression: "By the Xingyang God, I never lie. Rather than saying you are strange-looking, it would be better to say you are ugly. However, the great deity shines upon all things, and in the face of a beautiful soul, appearance is not worth mentioning."

Furious to the point of smoking, Elisa could only enter the house with a dark face, slamming the door, and cursing through gritted teeth: "You blind elephant, just you wait. Sooner or later, I will gouge out your eyes."

Her frustration was seen by the people in the space fleet, and many secretly laughed.

This arrogant woman who looked down on everyone finally got what was coming to her.

However, they were soon attracted by the footage coming from Xiao Tonghe's channel.

This guy had been staying in a place similar to a red-light district in the underwater city of Atlantis for several days in a row.

Of course, due to the Fish People's physical structure and other reasons, there was no substantial interaction. Most of the time, he just watched the Fish People posing suggestively and then acted out his own fantasies.

However, Xiao Tonghe still enjoyed it tirelessly because the Fish People were truly stunning, each one as beautiful as a fairy.

This made his channel the favorite of the Earth Humans in the space fleet, mainly the men.

Some women and several captains protested angrily.

But Xiao Tonghe replied toughly: "My mission is to collect data. As for what is useful and what currently has no military value, that is not something within my authority to discern."

This move made many men in the fleet cheer for him.

"Well done, Xiao Tonghe, you are a real man."

"A real man, please accept my respect."

Some crew members even started discussing what would happen to these Fish People after taking over the Habitable Zone. They couldn't bear to see the Fish People perish; it would be great to take them home as wives.

A captain who heard the discussion rushed over and slapped each of these people: "You bastards, we have been wandering for so many generations, yet you are considering the lives of others!"

Five days later, Elisa cursed incessantly on the public channel: "Xiao Tonghe, did you die in the ocean? And Chen Susu, were you eaten by a dinosaur? We told you to collect intelligence, but the two of you haven't moved from your locations at all."

Chen Susu, who had been squatting in the dinosaur park for the past few days, quickly swallowed the bread in her mouth, her voice full of timidity and shame: "Sorry, Captain, I was captivated by the Tyrannosaurus Rex. I'll go complete the mission now."

With a sallow complexion and trembling legs, Xiao Tonghe was sitting in an underwater tunnel train, rushing to the surface, his voice weak and breathless: "Yeah, received. Can't stay underwater too often."
