133: Prehistoric relics!

The city wall!

Everyone was a bit bewildered.

"Wh-what's going on? Why did Zhang Fan disappear again?"

"Did he create this crack himself, or...?"

"Is Zhang Fan playing a trick on us? He should be fine, right?"

"..."

Everyone looked at the spot where Zhang Fan had vanished, feeling a sense of unease.

"Quick!"

Jiang Huaizhong shouted, "Go quickly and see! What exactly happened?"

"Yes!"

...

"Where is this place?"

Zhang Fan looked around, a hint of horror and unease in his eyes.

After being swallowed by the sudden crack, Zhang Fan felt a momentary blur before he arrived here.

This was a massive underground cavern, dozens of meters high, deep, dim, and seemingly endless.

The walls of the cavern were made of a very strange black material.

It was covered in a dark, lichen-like substance.

When touched, it felt fuzzy, very similar to lichen.

The ceiling, the walls, and the floor were all made of this black material!

Behind him was also a black wall!

"Where exactly is this place?"

Zhang Fan surveyed his surroundings: "An alien spaceship? A prehistoric ruin?"

"Or perhaps some unknown place beyond my comprehension?"

Zhang Fan felt uncertain: "Forget it! No matter where this is, I should find a way out first!"

Zhang Fan closed his eyes, and his Void Domain spread out, quietly extending in all directions.

No matter where this place was, with his Void Domain, he could teleport and use Void Transformation. How could it trap him?

But gradually...

Zhang Fan's expression turned grim. He discovered that his Void Domain could not penetrate the black walls!

No matter how much Zhang Fan expanded it, he remained confined within the black walls!

This meant that Zhang Fan could not leave this bizarre unknown place by teleporting or using Void Transformation!

"What the hell is this place?" Zhang Fan felt anxious; he hated losing control of anything.

But this time, it seemed he had lost control!

However, Zhang Fan did not give up.

If he couldn't teleport away, surely he could destroy the black walls?

Zhang Fan immediately activated Sun True Fire, intending to burn through the black walls!

The result was...

Sun True Fire burned for a long time, but it didn't even singe a single hair on the black walls!

Zhang Fan, refusing to believe it, successively used Nine Netherworld Fire, Turning Stone into Gold, Annihilation Dragon Breath, Geng Metal Domain...

It was useless!

Completely useless!

These black walls, constructed from some unknown material, rendered all of Zhang Fan's efforts futile!

Burning, smashing, using swords, spears, and halberds... none of it worked!

"It's possible I've truly entered a prehistoric ruin or some alien spaceship!" Zhang Fan thought anxiously.

The Demigod Laoyezi had mentioned that after he became a Demigod, he and Hua Yunzhang had explored many prehistoric ruins and crashed alien spaceships.

They had found many good things and learned many secrets from them.

For instance, the Core Formation Chamber was an alien black technology that Grandpa Hua found on a crashed alien spaceship!

So, prehistoric ruins and alien spaceships truly exist in this world!

After confirming this, Zhang Fan didn't know whether to cry or laugh.

Whether it was a prehistoric ruin or alien technology, they were things beyond human imagination. To be able to enter and witness them was a tremendous opportunity!

The problem was:

Was this place dangerous? Would his life be at risk?

If his life was at risk, Zhang Fan didn't want this opportunity!

He would rather cultivate honestly, slowly growing step by step, than risk his life in a dangerous place!

But this time!

He clearly had no choice!

Zhang Fan looked into the depths of the cavern, the unease in his eyes gradually fading:

"Since I can't leave, I'll just take it one step at a time!"

"Be careful!"

"First, explore this place, then find a way out!"

Zhang Fan took out some diluted Divine Tree Juice, poured a few sips into his mouth, and adjusted his state to optimal.

"Let's begin!"

Zhang Fan took a deep breath, and several Shadow Clones appeared out of thin air.

"You 10, scout ahead; you 10, cover the rear; I'll walk in the middle!"

"Alright!"

Zhang Fan's orders received unanimous support from his Shadow Clones.

They protected Zhang Fan in the middle and set off cautiously.

After walking about a hundred meters, a large number of skeletons appeared before them.

"These skeletons..."

Zhang Fan's pupils constricted.

These skeletons... were very peculiar!

Some were humanoid, some were beast-shaped, and some were half-human, half-beast.

What shocked Zhang Fan the most was a giant humanoid skeleton that was a hundred meters tall!

It clearly had a human form, yet its height was over a hundred meters!

A single leg bone was as tall as a 20-story building!

Its curved ribs, when combined, formed a circular cave dozens of meters high.

Zhang Fan, walking into the cave, was completely dwarfed.

"A humanoid skeleton this large, is this still human?"

Zhang Fan slowly walked forward, focusing on the humanoid skeletons.

Because humanoid skeletons could help Zhang Fan determine certain things.

A few minutes later, Zhang Fan stopped in front of a humanoid skeleton.

It was wearing animal skin, and a necklace of teeth was around its neck.

"Animal skin?"

Zhang Fan murmured, "Modern humans wouldn't wear animal skin!"

"So, this skeleton was a primitive human in life?"

"Primitive humans appearing here, how old is this damned place?"

Zhang Fan had a bad feeling. Something that had existed since primitive times could very well be a prehistoric ruin!

Zhang Fan took two deep breaths and summoned a few more Shadow Clones, saying:

"Search everywhere, see if you can find anything useful!"

"Such as weapons, treasures, divine sparks, or anything that can explain what this place is!"

"Understood!"

The Shadow Clones immediately dispersed, surrounding each skeleton and conducting a thorough search.

Zhang Fan waited silently.

In such an unknown and strange place, it was better to stay still than to move!

Let the Shadow Clones handle the suicidal task of scouting!

He just needed to stay safe!

Just as Zhang Fan was anxiously waiting, a crisp cracking sound suddenly echoed, sounding extremely eerie.

Zhang Fan turned his head and saw the skeletons, which had been lying on the ground for who knew how many years, actually standing up.

Then they swayed unsteadily, tottering as they surrounded Zhang Fan.

"What's going on?"

Zhang Fan's expression changed. Skeletons that had been dead for who knew how long were alive again? Zhang Fan felt a chill down his spine.

"Crack, crack, crack—"

Closest to Zhang Fan was a forty-meter-long feline skeleton, whether it was a cat or a tiger, he couldn't tell.

Let's call it a bone cat!

The bone cat's movements were stiff at first, but as it moved, it became increasingly agile and fluid.

By the time it reached Zhang Fan, the bone cat was as swift as the wind.

It leaped up, its fanged mouth agape, and pounced at Zhang Fan.

Zhang Fan was not one to sit idly by. He raised his hand and unleashed a Sun True Fire, striking the bone cat.

As soon as the Sun True Fire touched the bone cat, it immediately began to incinerate the bone cat's bones, emitting a pungent, unpleasant odor.

The bone cat ignored the Sun True Fire and swung its sharp claws at Zhang Fan.

Zhang Fan activated instant movement, avoiding the attack immediately.

"Bang—"

The bone cat's claw struck the ground, making a dull thud.

Its finger bones hit the ground, and its bony body suddenly disintegrated, scattering into a pile of broken bones on the floor.

But the bone cat was not dead; its bones miraculously reassembled themselves, restoring the bone cat's form.

"This is possible?"

Zhang Fan's scalp tingled.

At this moment, the other skeletons also pounced towards him.

Large and small skeletons, of various forms, lunged from all directions, as if to tear Zhang Fan to shreds.
