32: The Monopoly in Chapter 32

Rebecca, Mister, and Claude kept their eyes glued to Little Gold's figure, almost unable to look away.

"This is my Summoned Beast, called Little Gold. Little Gold, come over and say hello."

Little Gold did not say hello, but instead flicked its tail and turned its head to look elsewhere.

"Sorry, this guy is a bit tsundere." Fu Hao apologized with a smile while reaching out to stroke Little Gold's wings. Seeing that Little Gold did not show any aggressive reaction, the three of them—Rebecca, Mister, and Claude—breathed a sigh of relief.

Mister stared at the golden scales on Little Gold's body, which shimmered like refracted sunlight, and his voice trembled with excitement: "Th-this is your Summoned Beast?"

"Yes, I drew it from a lottery not long ago." Fu Hao said as he started walking forward, "Let's talk while we walk, don't waste time."

Little Gold obediently followed behind him, and Rebecca and the others had to hurry to keep up.

This time, it was Rebecca who spoke: "What is your Summoned Beast's rank...?"

"Oh, Little Gold is Mythical Rank."

"Mythical Rank?!?" The three of them exclaimed in unison, their shock evident on their faces.

In their understanding, Hero Rank was the end of one's efforts, and Legendary Rank was a dream that was out of reach.

In their minds, Hero Rank was the pinnacle of effort, Legendary Rank was an unreachable dream, and Mythical Rank was an existence they couldn't even see in their dreams.

If Leonhardt had said he possessed a Mythical Rank Summoned Beast, they would only be shocked, but for Fu Hao, who had a lower level than them, to actually have one, it completely overturned their understanding.

"So this is what a Mythical Rank Summoned Beast looks like... It's so cool..."

"Compared to our little horses, it's simply..."

"Please, don't mention the little horses, I beg you."

= "Their reactions are too funny."

- "So they really do treat Summoned Beasts like pets."

- "For ordinary players, aren't they just pets?"

Perhaps satisfied with their reactions, Little Gold proudly raised its head, straightened its back, and struck a noble and elegant pose like a model. It intended to look cool, but in the eyes of Rebecca's group and the audience, there was only one word: "Cute."

- "Little Gold's tsundere attribute is maxed out."

- "Can praising it make the dragon dance?"

- "If you praise it too much, it might become even more tsundere, right?"

Completely conquered by Little Gold's gap moe, Mister asked cautiously: "Can I pet Little Gold?"

"I want to too!"

"Please!"

Before the words were even finished, Little Gold bared its sharp teeth, its eyes cold: "How dare you try to touch this dragon?!"

"You can pet it," Fu Hao said slowly, "but I won't be responsible if something happens. When I first summoned it, I reached out to pet it... and I almost died on the spot."

This statement was like a bucket of cold water, and Rebecca and the others instantly fell silent.

—If the Summoned Beast almost bit its own master, then if they dared to touch it, they would probably end up dead.

"Th-then we'll just look."

"Hehehe, me too."

"Although it's a pity... I'll give up."

The three spoke lightly, but their hands had already quietly retracted, and their faces couldn't hide their disappointment.

["Viewer" tipped 50 Yuan. —(Let me pet Little Gold, it would be worth it even if I died ㅠ.ㅠ)]

- "I want to too."

- "It would be an honor to be bitten to death by Little Gold."

- "Happy way to die +1."

"We're here."

["Trial Maniac" tipped 50 Yuan. —(1.3 Zone cleared in 56 seconds)]

[Entering the Second Zone]

[Defeat all Trolls or survive for 15 minutes to open the passage to the next zone]

The second zone is a survival mission. Although defeating all Trolls can clear the zone directly, no team, including Trial Maniac, has yet been able to clear the field within fifteen minutes. Therefore, the core strategy for clearing is to save potions and buffs and survive as long as possible.

Players privately call it—Knockback Hell.

Inside the circular space with a thirty-meter diameter, ten Trolls are positioned around the perimeter. Their attacks all have knockback effects; continuous hits will launch a person to the edge of the field, then they will fall into the boiling lava below—resulting in instant death.

However, as long as you master the positioning, survival is not difficult, and the overall difficulty is even less than the first zone.

Just as Fu Hao, Little Gold, and Rebecca's group stepped into the circular space, the stone path leading to the center collapsed with a roar. The ten Troll statues on the perimeter trembled, their bodies cracking and peeling, transforming into living creatures one by one. Their eyes glowed with a ghostly light as they roared and approached—

"Krahhhh!"

The Troll that had originally fled in the first zone and hidden behind the statue also suddenly started roaring along with them.

Little Gold roared back without showing any weakness: "ROAR!!!"

The charging Trolls paused, looked at each other, and then inexplicably started arguing:

"Kuru Kuruk!"

"Kaya Malji Kaikai!"

["Jin Hao" tipped 50 Yuan. —(Translation: You go first! No, you go first! Why should I?!)]

Rebecca's group, who had expected a fierce battle and were ready for combat, now looked at the arguing Trolls with speechless expressions.

After a moment, the Trolls finished arguing and silently retreated to their original positions—they had no intention of attacking at all.

["Leon Fu Hao" tipped 50 Yuan. —([Trolls: Isn't peaceful coexistence better? Happiness is most important, why resort to killing?])]

"Uh... what now?" Fu Hao turned his head, looking at his teammates and the audience, his tone quite hesitant.

He had originally intended to clear the field quickly, but the space was too narrow. If Little Gold went berserk, he might survive based on his combat experience, but his teammates might not. Besides, if they started fighting, there would be no chance of clearing without taking damage. It was better to take the opportunity to bet on the "No-Hit Clear" achievement.

- "Just go AFK."

- "First No-Hit Clear."

- "The speedrun record is already obtained anyway."

"Whatever you think, we'll listen to you."

After weighing it for a moment, Fu Hao nodded: "Then let's wait for fifteen minutes."

Although there was a risk that someone might break the speedrun record later, the achievement effect for the first No-Hit Clear was clearly cooler, and the rewards would definitely be more generous.

"By the way, I saw you brought board games earlier, why don't we play a round?"

"Sure!"

"What shall we play?"

"How about Monopoly?"

"No problem."

"Okay."

Claude took out a magic carpet and a Monopoly set from his backpack and spread them out on the ground.

Beneath their feet was rolling lava, and standing around them were a young dragon and eleven Trolls, yet they were sitting on the carpet happily rolling dice as if they were having a picnic in the woods.

"Awesome, double!"

"Nice."

"Double right from the start?"

"Take your time."

"Hey, isn't this the Deserted Island?"

"Claude's luck is just too bad."

"Landmark~ Build!"

"Fu Hao, well done."

"Please don't buy the UK... Ah!"

["Trial Maniac" tipped 50 Yuan. —(You are watching a Trial Dungeon speedrun challenge livestream. Really!)]

The originally long fifteen minutes flew by amidst the sound of dice colliding and laughter.

[Survival successful, passage to the third zone opened]

[All Trolls in the second zone have disappeared]

"What a pity, one more round and we could have decided the winner." Fu Hao played with the dice, looking full of regret.

Mister was eager to try: "Why don't we finish this round?"

"How can we do that? Don't you want the speedrun title?"

"Speedrun title?" The three tilted their heads at the same time, looking confused; they had clearly never heard of it.

Trial Maniac's videos always focused on techniques and mechanics, so it was no surprise that achievement information was omitted.

- "Hahaha, the consequence of not hanging out in the community."

- "They can't get it anyway, so it's normal they don't know."

- "Curious to see their expressions after they find out."

"There is such a title." Fu Hao smiled, "Anyway, let's go."

He and the audience had already imagined how surprised and delighted the three would be after learning about the title's effect.

But when he turned to look at the passage, he was shocked to see—

That Troll that had escaped from the first zone was galloping, fleeing frantically along the passage.

[All Trolls in the second zone have disappeared]

—The system eliminated the native Trolls of the second zone; that straggler from the first zone was still alive.

Rebecca watched its back as it fled in a panic and couldn't help but laugh out loud: "This guy is quite persistent, as expected of a Troll."

["Jin Hao" tipped 50 Yuan. —(Don't chase it, come back~)]

["Trial Maniac" tipped 50 Yuan. —(If it were me being chased by a dragon, I would also run to the ends of the universe)]

- "Hahaha."

- "Don't run anymore, if you keep running, you'll enter the BOSS zone."
