"Yeah," he said with a sigh, setting the glass down. "He wore a mask. Never used any magic either. I’ve got no idea how he blocked Azazel’s light spears. All I know is the name he gave me."

He turned toward Kuroka, his silver eyes glinting.

"Mordred. That’s what he calls himself."

"Mordred..."

Kuroka furrowed her brows in thought. But then, her golden eyes sharpened with resolve. A magic circle began forming beneath her feet.

"I’m heading out!"

Vali watched as she moved to leave and let out a resigned sigh.

"...Be careful. Don’t provoke him. He’s not someone you can handle."

"I know! I’m not a battle-crazy idiot like you!"
