105: Chapter 105 Hunting Competition

"This hunting competition will take place in the 'Wulin Secret Realm', and the main task is to kill demons."

"This is the score token. Every time you kill a demon, it will automatically be added to your score."

At the back mountain of the campus, the teacher in charge of the hunting competition held a black jade token in his hand and motioned.

In the hands of the students present were jade tokens of the same specifications.

Shen Xingchen walked into the student queue.

His arrival attracted the gazes of quite a few students.

"Is he the freshman who agreed to the simp Muyun?"

"It's really hard to imagine that he's only a freshman, yet he already possesses Tier 4 combat power!"

"Who among us can win against him..."

Song Yu waved at Shen Xingchen from afar.

Her slightly tender little face looked somewhat cute and dazed.

Shen Xingchen nodded.

The teacher at the very front saw Shen Xingchen walking over and showed an appreciative look.

This was Elder Xue's closing disciple!

He paused slightly and continued: "The demons faced in the Freshman Hunting Competition include many Tier 4 and even Tier 5 ones, so senior students at the peak of Tier 4 will lead the teams to hunt them down to ensure everyone's safety."

"Next, form teams freely. Each team must have a minimum of ten people and a maximum of thirty. Everyone, form your teams freely."

At the very front of the queue, some students who looked more mature were waiting there.

They should be the team-leading senior students.

When Shen Xingchen looked over, one of the girls smiled maliciously at Shen Xingchen.

He understood in an instant that this was Yan Xinqi.

The surrounding freshmen had already begun to move.

Shen Xingchen also followed the crowd, randomly picked a senior, and wanted to join his team.

Seeing Shen Xingchen coming over, that senior raised his hand to signal: "My team does not welcome you!"

"Huh?" Shen Xingchen paused his steps.

The people around also looked over.

"Is there a rift between them? Rejecting him publicly is too much!"

"So seniors have the right to refuse freshmen from joining the team?"

"Hehe, isn't it their freedom whether they are willing to take you or not?"

Shen Xingchen gave that senior a cold look, then turned his head and walked towards another team-leading senior sister.

The senior sister also showed a playful smile: "Sorry, my team does not welcome you!"

This time Shen Xingchen seemed to understand something, and his gaze looked towards Yan Xinqi.

Sure enough, she was looking at Shen Xingchen with a somewhat smug expression.

Shen Xingchen understood completely.

It turned out that in this Freshman Hunting Competition, she had started targeting him right from choosing the teams.

Was she so impatient?

He had thought Yan Xinqi would pull tricks on him inside the 'Wulin Secret Realm'!

Not long after.

Everyone finished forming their teams.

Only Shen Xingchen stood alone in place.

"Why hasn't that classmate formed a team?" Someone was the first to notice the abnormality.

"I just saw Senior Li Chenyue refuse him from joining the team," someone said.

Then a bunch of people followed up.

"Right, Senior Song didn't agree to let him join either!"

"Senior Li as well..."

"..."

"Senior Liu Meng didn't agree either..."

"No team is willing to accept him, so how is he going to complete the hunting competition?"

In Yan Xinqi's team, Qin Yueyan looked at Shen Xingchen with a complex gaze—there was admiration, affection, and a hint of worry.

This time, they wouldn't really take things too far, right?

Although she secretly condemned Shen Xingchen behind his back, when she saw that handsome face, she felt a bit unable to bear it.

The other freshmen discussed heatedly.

Some even put on an attitude of watching a good show.

They were all top figures during middle school, but after coming to Shangjing, they were suppressed by this person.

Word was everywhere that his Tier 3 strength far exceeded "ordinary" freshmen.

There was also his status as the closing disciple of "Vice President Xue", and his residence was a villa meticulously selected by teachers.

It was as if he was different from people like them.

Now it was good.

Leaving everything else aside, he probably wouldn't be able to complete this hunting competition.

This made them find a long-lost sense of superiority.

The team-leading teacher said helplessly: "Classmate Shen, in this case, you can only withdraw from the hunting competition."

The senior students were unwilling to take him, and as a teacher, he didn't have the position to say much more.

Even if he forcibly shoved him into a student-led team, they might throw him out of the team midway.

He knew Shen Xingchen had extremely high talent, noble status, and was the vice president's disciple.

But the more it was like this, the more he couldn't let him die in the 'Wulin Secret Realm', otherwise how could he account to Vice President Xue?

Song Yu shouted in the crowd: "Classmate Shen, why don't you come to our..."

She saw Shen Xingchen's predicament and wanted to do something.

"If he comes in, I'll kick you out!" The one speaking was her team-leading senior sister, named Senior Liu Meng.

Song Yu's half-spoken words got stuck.

Shen Xingchen smiled at the teacher: "It's fine, I can manage by myself."

In Shen Xingchen's view, having no teammates was even better.

He would even find those low-tier teammates dragging down his speed.

He had just checked in the teacher's study that zhuyu grass mostly grew in places where demons gathered, especially inside the caves where they bred and multiplied.

In order to gather the medicinal ingredients for the marrow cleansing pill as soon as possible, he decided to look for them in the 'Wulin Secret Realm'.

"One person makes a team?"

"Is he crazy? The Wulin Secret Realm might run into Tier 5 demons, isn't this courting death?"

"Even if it's for saving face, there's no need to push this hard; it really will cost lives!"

Hearing Shen Xingchen's startling remarks, they voiced their doubts one after another.

The teacher's expression also turned solemn, and he advised: "Classmate Shen, you should know that whether you participate in this hunting competition or not makes no difference to you."

Other students fought hard for a good mentor, but Shen Xingchen completely had no need to.

Shen Xingchen replied: "Teacher, I have no problem. If you don't believe me, I can prove my strength on the spot. Let's just pick that Yan Xinqi."

Yan Xinqi was somewhat dissatisfied: "Hmph, just based on you?"

Toward this kind of person who had some strength but didn't know how to respect girls, she disliked him from the bottom of her heart.

In her view.

Everything in the world had to make way for women's rights!

The team-leading teacher sighed, took out an item, and said: "This is a teleportation jade token. If you encounter danger, teleport out immediately."

After speaking, the team-leading teacher felt a pang of heartache.

The teleportation jade token was priceless, and many secret realms in the country could rely on it to teleport out.

It could be said to be an essential item for treasure hunting in secret realms.

Now, in order to give a good account to Vice President Xue, he could only give it to Shen Xingchen.

"Holy crap, is this even allowed?"

"Why don't we have one? It's unfair!"

"Regarding the question of why we don't have one, do you really have no idea in your heart?"

"..."

The freshmen expressed dissatisfaction, but protests were invalid.

Shen Xingchen smiled and nodded at the team-leading teacher.

No matter what the reason was, this teacher had tried his utmost to help him.

There were no other doubts.

The team-leading teacher activated the teleportation array leading to the 'Wulin Secret Realm'.

Shen Xingchen was all alone, taking the lead as he walked into the secret realm.

Many people were somewhat shocked after seeing this.

Is this bro so confident?

However, even so, Shen Xingchen still had little hope of placing in the top spots of the hunting competition.

More people felt that he would just hold on for a little while and then teleport out.

Simply wasting a teleportation jade token for nothing...

Yan Xinqi's face showed disappointment.

This time she had originally planned to execute Shen Xingchen inside the secret realm.

At least make his meridians completely crippled so he couldn't be so arrogant.

But since he took the teleportation jade token... she wouldn't be able to catch him.

How hateful!
