Five Directions Demon Realm
"Brother Situ."
"Brother Qi."
Now that both parties had confirmed their stances, the atmosphere of the conversation became very relaxed and pleasant, to the point where they almost wanted to slaughter a yellow chicken and become sworn brothers on the spot.
After a few rounds of back-and-forth, the two reached an agreement without making a scene.
Qi Yuan was responsible for escorting Situ Yun back to the Demonic Domain, while Situ Yun promised to recommend Qi Yuan as an Outer Sect Disciple of the Yin Sha Sect afterward and look after him.
This was also the limit of what Situ Yun could currently achieve; he had just lost a mining outpost, which was a major mistake. According to the Sect rules, he would be lucky to escape with his life.
Therefore, he himself was in a state where he could barely protect himself and needed to spend a fortune to pass the ordeal. How could he have any energy left to make an outside Loose Cultivator an Inner Sect Disciple?
However, even if Situ Yun was in dire straits, he was still a True Disciple. With the Face of the Situ Clan behind him, it was an easy matter to squeeze in an insignificant Outer Sect Disciple.
Anyway, for a demonic Sect, Outer Sect Disciples were originally used for raising Gu; they didn't consume many resources.
Of course, Qi Yuan expressed great satisfaction with this. The task given by the dog system was to make him an Outer Sect Disciple. If he were actually arranged into an Inner Sect Disciple position, he wouldn't even be happy about it.
After the deal was settled, Situ Yun found Qi Yuan more and more pleasing to the eye. He looked up at the sky outside the cave and said impatiently:
"It's getting late, let's set off now. It would be bad if that group of False Dao searchers returns."
Then, he suddenly realized something and hurriedly asked:
"Brother Qi, do you have any recovery Medicinal Pills on you? My injuries are very serious right now, and I urgently need pills to replenish myself."
Qi Yuan spread his hands with a helpless expression and said:
"Brother Situ, I only recently escaped my status as a forced laborer. I am penniless; let alone recovery Medicinal Pills, I can't even produce a single low-grade Spirit Stone."
It had not been easy to get the Nascent Soul Mid-stage Situ Yun into a weakened state where he could be easily handled. If he were allowed to recover, wouldn't he develop thoughts he shouldn't have?
One must know that the guy in front of him was a genuine demonic Cultivator.
From the various cruel methods he used during his tenure as a mining supervisor, it was clear that this person's moral standards were appallingly low—or rather, he didn't have a shred of morality at all.
Once such a person gained power, returning kindness with enmity and turning hostile without warning were just standard operations. It was better to take precautions.
Sure enough, hearing this, Situ Yun's expression immediately slumped, and he said with a Face full of gloom:
"Fine, it seems I can only wait until we return to the Sect. Fortunately, this place isn't far from the Demonic Domain. Once we cross the border, I doubt those Pseudo-Daoists will dare to pursue us."
...The next day.
Western Demonic Domain.
Qi Yuan escorted Situ Yun on their journey, and they soon went deep into the sphere of influence of the Baleful Yin Sect.
Under the encirclement and suppression of the Righteous Path forces, scattered evil forces simply could not survive in the Cultivation World.
Therefore, the various Demonic Path Sects of this world gathered together for mutual protection, forming the Five Directions Demonic Domain.
These Demonic Path Sects were usually riddled with conflicts and endless killing, but once the Righteous Path forces came to attack, they would immediately become a solid block to resist the strong enemy together, giving the Seven Great Holy Lands quite a headache.
The Five Directions Demonic Domain was vast and rich in resources, and the Baleful Yin Sect, as the leader of the Demonic Path, firmly controlled the Central Demonic Domain, Northern Demonic Domain, and Western Demonic Domain.
Besides the Baleful Yin Sect, there were two other Demonic Path forces with Mahayana Realm Cultivators presiding over them: the Nine Nether Sect and the Eternal Night Palace.
The Nine Nether Sect occupied the Southern Demonic Domain, while the Eternal Night Palace was the absolute overlord of the Eastern Demonic Domain.
The rest of the Demonic Path forces were basically vassals of these three major powers, including the Nether River Sect, which Qi Yuan had interacted with before, as an affiliate of the Nine Nether Sect.
Just as the two passed through a lush mountain forest, several streaks of black cloud smoke broke through the air from the distant horizon and blocked their path aggressively.
These Cultivators were all dressed in black robes, and a strange, obscure dark Aura faintly lingered around them; at a glance, they were demonic Cultivators of the Baleful Yin Sect.
The leading demonic Cultivator was short and fat with dark skin, and he was looking down at the two of them from above.
The next moment, he clearly saw the special insignia on Situ Yun's clothes. His originally ferocious expression instantly turned into flattery, and he said in a pleasing tone:
"So it is a True Disciple. This lowly one failed to recognize Mount Tai, please forgive me."
Situ Yun snorted coldly and scolded unceremoniously:
"Less nonsense. I am Situ Yun, a True Disciple of Falling Soul Peak. If you know what's good for you, get lost quickly!"
"So it's someone from the Situ Clan, my apologies, my apologies."
The short, fat demonic Cultivator narrowed his eyes, his expression becoming increasingly wary, and he said respectfully:
"Duty calls. Senior Brother, please show your identity plaque so this lowly one can verify your identity."
Situ Yun frowned slightly and said in a chilling tone:
"What kind of thing are you to be worthy of checking my plaque? I have an appointment to meet my Clan Brother Situ Jun here; he will arrive shortly. If you want to check, you can check his as well later!"
Hearing this name, the short, fat demonic Cultivator's pupils suddenly contracted, but he quickly returned to normal and said with a forced smile:
"This lowly one wouldn't dare. I'll get lost right now. Please, after you, after you..."
After saying that, he didn't dare to linger any longer and led his subordinates away in a sorry state, looking as if they were afraid they couldn't get away fast enough.
Watching the group distance themselves, Situ Yun finally breathed a sigh of relief and explained:
"Brother Qi, you might not know, but I was previously captured by the Pseudo-Daoists, and even my identity plaque was taken by them."
"The Yin Sha Sect's rules are strict. Anyone entering or leaving the Sect without an identity token will be killed without question if discovered."
"Normally, with my status, those patrol Disciples wouldn't dare to make things too difficult even without a token."
"But I just committed a major blunder. If those patrol Disciples found out, it would lead to some trouble, so I used my Clan Brother's name to scare them off."
So that was it.
Qi Yuan nodded, expressing understanding.
It seemed the demonic Sect wasn't as chaotic and lawless as the rumors suggested; at the very least, there were some basic rules.
Although it didn't look like they were enforced very well, it was better than having no rules at all.
Situ Yun then changed the subject and explained earnestly:
"Brother Qi, in the Yin Sha Sect, the position of a patrol Disciple is very lucrative. These people seem easy to talk to on the surface, but in reality, every one of them is ruthless and greedy."
"Although the Yin Sha Sect doesn't forbid Outer Sect Disciples from coming and going, once you enter the Outer Sect, you must never leave the Sect alone. Even if you must, find a few companions to go with you."
"If someone without a strong background encounters these people alone, at best they'll be heavily extorted, and at worst they'll be killed for their treasures. They might even be branded as Pseudo-Daoist spies after they're dead..."
Holy crap!
Hearing this, Qi Yuan was stunned and grumbled in his heart:
Even entering and leaving your own Sect is so dangerous. It really is a demonic Sect!
