Chapter 70: Chased by a dog for three blocks, Lin Chuchu suffers disfigurement and broken leg.

The instruction from the walkie-talkie was transmitted clearly.

On the asphalt road outside the door, Black Dragon's massive head paused abruptly.

Its scarlet eyeballs rolled, and it actually released its blood-stained jaws.

A "rumbling" sound of threat issued from its throat, but its front paws moved away from Lin Chuchu's mangled, broken leg.

Lin Chuchu was in so much pain she almost fainted.

But when she realized the pressure on her leg had vanished, a stronger desire to survive than ever before erupted within her.

"Help me... don't bite me..."

Like a dying loach, she dragged her broken leg, attached only by a bit of flesh, and crawled frantically down the mountain.

She didn't even dare to look back.

Her fingernails dug into the scorching, rough road surface, instantly breaking and tearing off.

Fresh blood flowing from her ten fingers left a shocking, long trail on the ground.

In the Central Control Room.

Lu Ting watched the screen, unable to help swallowing his saliva.

"Sister-in-law, is this woman a cockroach? Her leg is already that ruined, yet she can still crawl this fast?"

Lin Xingwan held her coffee, her eyes cold as ice.

"This is called a cat playing with a mouse."

She sneered.

"Let her think she can survive, then crush that hope bit by bit. That's the fun part, isn't it?"

Huo Yuan turned his head to look at her, an indulgent smile curling the corners of his lips.

"My Wanwan is right. This show must be watched slowly."

On the screen.

Black Dragon, along with the other two Tibetan Mastiffs, did not immediately pounce.

They walked with leisurely steps, as if they were taking a stroll, following behind Lin Chuchu unhurriedly.

Lin Chuchu crawled over ten meters, only to despairingly discover those three massive black shadows following her like a shadow.

Their foul-smelling drool even dripped onto her heels.

"Ah! Get away! Get away!"

She completely broke down, grabbing stones from the ground and throwing them backward desperately.

This completely angered the Tibetan Mastiff following at the very back.

"Roar!"

The Tibetan Mastiff lunged forward, biting down on a remaining piece of fabric on Lin Chuchu's back.

With a forceful tear!

With a "rip" sound, the fabric, along with a piece of flesh from her back, was torn off raw.

"Ah—!"

Lin Chuchu let out a shrill scream, her whole body rolling on the ground in agony.

The road surface, heated to over sixty degrees, scorched her skin, but it couldn't compare to the heart-wrenching pain on her back.

The Tibetan Mastiffs did not stop.

Under Lin Xingwan's instructions, they perfectly executed the order to "play around."

They did not bite vital areas.

They specifically chose to bite arms, thighs, and similar areas.

They would bite down, tear off a chunk of flesh, release, and then continue watching her crawl.

Lin Chuchu was chased madly for three whole streets amidst this extreme fear and excruciating pain.

The bloodstains on the mountain road wound and twisted, a shocking sight.

Her once-proud smooth skin was now covered in dog bite marks deep enough to see the bone.

"Sister Xingwan... I beg you... kill me..."

Lin Chuchu could no longer crawl.

She slumped beside some ruins at a corner, having lost even the strength to cry.

She finally understood that Lin Xingwan never intended to let her live.

This was like cutting flesh with a dull knife.

Black Dragon walked slowly in front of her.

A huge shadow loomed over Lin Chuchu.

It lowered its head, its scarlet eyes staring intently at Lin Chuchu's still somewhat pretty face.

Lin Chuchu closed her eyes in despair.

"Snap."

Black Dragon bit down, instantly shattering the cheekbone on the right side of her face!

Her scream was choked off in her throat.

Half of Lin Chuchu's face completely collapsed, blood mixed with bone fragments gushing out, and her whole body convulsed in pain.

In this state, even if she were thrown into a pile of corpses, no one would recognize this as the once high-and-mighty Second Miss of the Lin family.

"That's enough."

In the Central Control Room, Lin Xingwan put down her coffee cup.

She picked up the specially made ultrasonic dog whistle from the table and blew it gently against her lips.

A high-frequency sound wave that only dogs could hear was transmitted out.

The three Tibetan Mastiffs outside heard the whistle and immediately stopped biting.

Black Dragon shook the blood foam from its mouth in disgust, turned around with its minions, and ran back to the side door of the villa without looking back.

On the screen.

Lin Chuchu lay in a pool of blood like a pile of mud.

She wasn't dead yet.

But with her broken leg, disfigurement, severe blood loss, and heat-induced infection, she had no chance of surviving the night in the extreme heat of The Apocalypse.

Lin Chuchu struggled to open her left eye, which hadn't been blinded.

She stared fixedly at the direction of the Half-Mountain Villa, her eyes filled with resentment, unwillingness, and deep despair.

Slowly, the light in that eye completely faded.

The heaving of her chest gradually subsided.

Under the scorching sun, she finally lost her last breath.

The enemy who had personally dug out her heart in her past life died worse than a stray dog.

"The second major vengeance has been avenged."

Lin Xingwan leaned back against her chair and let out a long breath of stale air.

The stone that had been pressing on her heart for two lifetimes had shattered by more than half.

Huo Yuan reached out and gently rubbed the top of her head.

"Do you feel any better?"

"It's alright." Lin Xingwan raised an eyebrow, stood up, and stretched.

"Let's go, let's head back to the living room to eat some fruit. Watching this rotting meat is an eyesore."

The two had just turned to walk out of the Central Control Room.

Suddenly, a burst of rapid keyboard clacking came from behind them.

"Boss! Boss Huo! You guys need to come and see this!"

Qian Duoduo, holding a bulky communication receiver, scrambled out of the server room.

The fat on his chubby face was quivering, and his expression was extremely strange.

"What is it now?"

Lu Ting grabbed him by the collar and asked irritably: "Is some group of idiots coming to throw their lives away again?"

"It's not about throwing lives away!"

Qian Duoduo broke free from Lu Ting's hand and slammed the receiver onto the coffee table.

"I was doing a routine frequency check just now and deciphered an encrypted official radio broadcast!"

He swallowed his saliva, his voice trembling.

"Boss, this broadcast isn't directed at our city; it's an emergency notification sent to all survivor bases across the country!"

Lin Xingwan frowned slightly and walked to the coffee table.

"What does it report?"

Qian Duoduo took a deep breath and pointed to a line of text that had just been translated on the screen.

"It says... the extreme heat disaster is just an appetizer."

"The time remaining until a super flood that can submerge the entire Earth arrives..."

Qian Duoduo looked up, his eyes full of fear.

"There is less than forty-eight hours left!"
