3: Chapter 3 Dear brother, don't miss me too much!

However, the path back to the side courtyard was blocked by someone.

"Stop!"

A crisp yet arrogant child's voice rang out.

Huo Yuhao raised his head and saw a boy of similar age, leading several tall guards, blocking their path.

The boy was dressed in magnificent training attire, with golden hair and black eyes, handsome in appearance, but his brows were filled with overbearing arrogance.

Dai Huabin.

The legitimate son of the Duke of the White Tiger, his half-"brother".

Huo Yuhao remembered very clearly that Dai Huabin awakened his Spirit at age six, possessing the Dukes Mansion's top-tier Evil Eyes White Tiger, with an innate Soul Power as high as rank seven, making him the future heir of the Dukes Mansion.

Dai Huabin walked up to Huo Yuhao with his head held high, looking him up and down, his eyes filled with undisguised contempt.

"You are that bastard, Huo Yuhao?"

Huo Yuhao did not speak, simply looking at him calmly.

Seeing he didn't answer, Dai Huabin became even more annoyed: "I'm asking you a question! Heard you awakened your Spirit today, how was it? What kind of trash Spirit is it? What rank is your innate Soul Power?"

A guard nearby immediately leaned in obsequiously and whispered a few words into Dai Huabin's ear.

After listening, Dai Huabin burst into laughter, his voice sharp and piercing: "Spirit Eyes? Rank three innate? Hahahaha! Truly a piece of trash! A piece of trash like you, worthy of the surname Dai? Worthy of living in my White Tiger Dukes Mansion?"

He stepped forward, pointing his finger at Huo Yuhao's nose: "I'm telling you, you and that lowly mother of yours, get out of the Dukes Mansion immediately! You are not welcome here!"

Huo Yuhao's gaze remained calm, as indifferent as if he were looking at an insignificant object.

There was no anger, no fear, not even a ripple of emotion.

This feeling of being completely ignored thoroughly enraged Dai Huabin.

He felt offended; a bastard, a piece of trash, how dare he look at him with such eyes!

"What kind of look is that!"

Dai Huabin roared, "Teach him a lesson for me! Beat him up, let him know who the master here is!"

Upon hearing this, the guards behind him immediately surrounded them with sinister smiles.

"What are you doing!"

Huo Yuner's face turned deathly pale, and without thinking, she spread her arms, shielding Huo Yuhao tightly behind her, "He is still just a child! You cannot do this!"

"Get lost, bitch!" The leading guard impatiently reached out and shoved Huo Yuner to the ground.

Huo Yuner's frail body hit the stone floor with a dull thud.

The very moment his mother was shoved down, Huo Yuhao's eyes changed.

If his gaze had been a calm lake before, then now, beneath this lake, a storm capable of destroying everything was brewing.

He did not look at his fallen mother, but instead locked his gaze onto the guard who had shoved her.

An invisible, intangible force suddenly radiated out from Huo Yuhao as the center!

It was not Soul Power, but a vast and pure Mental Energy far beyond his age, and even far beyond what ordinary Spirit Masters could imagine!

The guards who were about to step forward suddenly froze.

Their eyes instantly became dull and empty, like puppets that had lost their souls.

The next second, a bizarre scene unfolded.

The guard who had shoved Huo Yuner suddenly picked up a dagger and stabbed it towards his own lower abdomen. The ghastly white bone was already clearly visible, yet he continued to stab there frantically as if he felt no pain.

"What the fuck are you doing!" A nearby guard roared, kicking him over without hesitation.

Immediately following this, the other guards also began to fight each other as if they had gone mad.

They struck extremely heavily, landing punch after punch, and soon were beaten black and blue, bleeding from their heads, the scene becoming chaotic and unbearable.

Dai Huabin watched this scene in horror, his small face turning deathly pale.

He had absolutely no idea what was happening, why his subordinates wanted to become eunuchs!

And why they were suddenly fighting among themselves.

He backed away two steps, pointing at Huo Yuhao, his voice trembling as he shouted: "You... what did you do! You monster!"

Huo Yuhao ignored the guards still fighting each other, lifted his mother up from the ground, and asked softly: "Mom, are you okay?"

"I'm fine..."

Huo Yuner shook her head, still shaken. She looked at her son, then at the chaotic scene over there, her face full of confusion and fear.

"Don't be afraid, I'm here." Huo Yuhao patted his mother's hand reassuringly, then turned and walked step by step toward Dai Huabin.

Dai Huabin watched the slowly approaching Huo Yuhao, an unprecedented fear gripping his heart.

Even though the other was shorter and frailer than him, those eyes, those black eyes, looked more terrifying to him now than a demon from hell.

"You... don't come over!" Dai Huabin screamed, his bravado failing.

Huo Yuhao did not stop, walking right up to Dai Huabin, their faces almost touching.

In Dai Huabin's terrified gaze, Huo Yuhao slowly raised his hand, pointing a finger at the center of his forehead.

An incredibly sharp Mental Energy, like a fine needle, instantly pierced into Dai Huabin's Spiritual Sea.

"Ah!"

Dai Huabin only felt as if his head were about to be torn apart, the intense pain making him unable to help but let out a scream.

He saw that within his own spiritual World, a black seed filled with an ominous aura had been planted.

A cold, ruthless voice, like a nightmare's whisper, sounded directly in his mind, and also in his ear.

"From today on, you had better forget my existence. Do not think of me, do not speak my name."

Huo Yuhao lowered his head, his lips close to Dai Huabin's ear, and said in a voice only the two of them could hear:

"Otherwise, every time you think of me, your head will feel like it's exploding with pain, just like now. Every time, boundless fear will surge in your heart."

"You will... wish you were dead."

Having said this, Huo Yuhao straightened up, not even looking at Dai Huabin, who was already rolling on the ground clutching his head and screaming.

He turned and walked over to the guards who had mostly finished fighting, skillfully unhooking a heavy money pouch from the waist of Dai Huabin's most capable guard.

He weighed it in his hand; there were probably a few hundred gold coins inside.

Enough for him and his mother to leave here and start a new life.

After doing all this, he took the hand of his still-stunned mother.

"Mom, let's go home."

Behind him, Dai Huabin's heart-wrenching screams continued, but Huo Yuhao's pace did not falter in the slightest.

Huo Yuner was pulled by her son, walking forward mechanically.

Her mind was blank, both shocked and afraid.

She didn't understand what had just happened, and even less did she understand why her son had become so strange, so... powerful.

But when she looked down and saw her son's calm and determined profile, the inexplicable fear in her heart gradually subsided, transforming into a strange sense of peace.

It was as if as long as this son was there, she wouldn't need to be afraid even if the sky collapsed.

Returning to that dilapidated side courtyard, Huo Yuhao closed the door, turned to his mother and said: "Mom, let's pack our things and leave here."

His tone was not one of negotiation, but of notification.

Huo Yuner trembled, looking at her son's serious expression.

She knew that after what had happened today, they could no longer stay in the Dukes Mansion.

Dai Huabin was the apple of the Duchess's eye; having suffered such a huge loss today, she would absolutely not let it rest.

Staying behind would only lead to a dead end.

She hesitated for a moment, not hesitating whether to leave, but thinking about where they could go after leaving.

But when she saw her son's unquestionable eyes, all her hesitation turned into determination.

"Okay." She nodded heavily, "Mom will go with you."

The mother and son did not have much to pack, only a few old changes of clothes, and a few silver coins Huo Yuner had hidden under the bed board.

Huo Yuhao put the money pouch he had taken from Dai Huabin's guard into his inner pocket.

When night completely covered the earth and the entire White Tiger Dukes Mansion had fallen into deep sleep, beneath a tall wall.

Two thin, small figures, under the cover of night, silently left this mansion that had been like a prison to them.

The moment he walked out of the Dukes Mansion, Huo Yuhao looked back at the grand complex of buildings in the night, his eyes holding not a trace of nostalgia.

White Tiger Dukes Mansion, Dai Hao, Dai Huabin... the grievances of my past life, I will settle with you one by one.

But not now.

He tightened his grip on his mother's hand and whispered: "Mom, let's go."

"Mm."

The figures of the mother and son soon disappeared into the thick night.
