134: Chapter 134 Mana Bomb Level 2
"These are level 30 mobs; I can't handle them."
In a very remote area of Sword Immortal City, Yun Ge, Ye Zi, and Su Lei were fighting mobs in a grassland.
Ma Sai and He Xin still had to participate in the remaining trials for their family, while Bai Lu was a night owl and didn't want to come during the day.
"Mutated Saber-toothed Tiger, 4000 HP, Level 30."
Not long ago, the three of them were still fighting level 20 mobs. After the recent Abyssal siege event, Yun Ge's level had skyrocketed. Naturally, after reaching level 29, he had to go fight level 30 mobs.
The Mutated Saber-toothed Tiger didn't have too much HP—a bit less than the Abyssal Warlock encountered during the siege—which made it suitable for Yun Ge's large-area damage skills. However, for Su Lei, his level 23 was a bit lacking.
Fighting a level 30 mob at level 23 meant a 7-level gap, and level suppression was already starting to take effect.
As for Ye Zi, as a healer, her level didn't matter as long as she could heal Yun Ge. Yun Ge's current base HP hadn't even reached 1000 yet, so a single small skill could top him off.
"It doesn't matter. Su Lei, just go lure the mobs, and I'll handle the damage."
After reaching level 29, although he hadn't changed much of his equipment, every level gained increased his base magic damage, and his other skills had also leveled up by 1-2. Yun Ge's damage with a single skill now exceeded 500 points, so fighting the Mutated Saber-toothed Tiger wasn't a big problem.
Yun Ge now had a full set of skills—damage, support, and survivability. For a level 30 normal mob, it was way too difficult to kill Yun Ge.
"Once I reach level 30, maybe I'll awaken other skills, and after changing into new equipment, I'll be even stronger."
After reaching level 29, it wasn't just that he had learned a few new skills; Mana Bomb had already leveled up to level 2, and its damage was now 20%.
Yun Ge was shocked after discovering the change in Mana Bomb.
"20%! How many levels can this skill go up to? If it can reach level 10, wouldn't it be a one-shot kill for whoever gets hit by the bomb?"
Yun Ge shook his head, guessing it wasn't that broken. He had learned this skill at level 12 and it only reached level 2 at level 28, so it probably capped at level 3 or 5.
Even if it was only 30%, it was still good. In the future, when encountering a BOSS, as long as there wasn't level suppression, he could just throw a few Mana Bombs and then pick up the loot and leave.
"We've been fighting for so long, why hasn't a single elite mob appeared for us to play with?"
BOSSes were hard to encounter, but elite mobs were quite common. However, the three of them had been fighting for quite a while, and it was all normal mobs; no elite mobs had been triggered.
If an elite mob did spawn, with an estimated HP of 50,000-60,000, Yun Ge could easily kill it.
At this moment, Su Lei had already dragged back over a dozen Mutated Saber-toothed Tigers. Su Lei's skills were geared towards solo grinding, and his high lifesteal even allowed him to solo elite mobs. But in front of Yun Ge, he could only serve as the laborer for luring mobs.
"A dozen or so mobs, not bad."
Yun Ge raised his staff, first laying down a Fire Rain, then blowing out a Hurricane, followed by a Sandstorm to swirl them up, and finally finishing with a Blizzard. The 4000 HP Mutated Saber-toothed Tigers soon fell to the ground.
"Awesome, Yun Ge!"
"You're killing mobs faster and faster!"
Previously, Yun Ge could only use Blizzard; although the damage and range were large enough, it was somewhat monotonous. Now, with various skills released in rotation, combined with his gear's reduced casting time and critical hit chance, killing mobs was a breeze.
Once he reached level 30, he could be considered a minor expert among the Awakeneds.
It was just that there were too few mobs. After experiencing the endless waves of monsters during the monster siege, facing only a dozen or so mobs felt dull and tasteless to the three of them. Especially since these dozen or so Saber-toothed Tigers were first blown up by Yun Ge while under Fire Rain, then sent tumbling by the Sandstorm, and finally slowed by the Blizzard—these mobs couldn't even get near Yun Ge.
"Lure more, Su Lei."
Ye Zi wasn't doing anything at all, not even needing to add buffs, just freeloading on the experience, so she urged Su Lei to lure more mobs.
Su Lei had lifesteal now and could heal himself, so a dozen or so mobs couldn't kill him; his safety was not an issue.
"I want to, but this grassland is so big, and the mobs spawn very sparsely. I think it's actually faster to just fight them one by one."
"How about we go clear a dungeon? Let's find a level 30 dungeon to grind; leveling up here is too slow."
"Let's fight here for a few days first. The guild quest requires Saber-toothed Tiger fangs, so let's farm more. There's a pair of level 30 Silver boots in the guild warehouse with great attributes, and I plan to earn some points to exchange for them."
"Alright."
Su Lei turned around to continue luring mobs. Anyway, the main damage dealer was Yun Ge; whatever Yun Ge said to do, they would do.
As for Ye Zi, she was purely freeloading on experience, just standing in the back, occasionally looking for herbs, and doing nothing else.
...
Ye Fan was riding a Unicorn, flying in the sky outside Sword Immortal City.
After being deleted from Yun Ge's friends list, Ye Fan immediately teleported to Sword Immortal City and asked City Lord Qin Wentian where Yun Ge lived, but he came up empty-handed.
Yun Ge hadn't lived at home for a long time.
City Lord Qin Wentian didn't know where Yun Ge was either. Whether it was Ye Fan or City Lord Qin Wentian, their friend requests to Yun Ge were ignored, so Ye Fan decided to come out and find him himself.
A level 29 Elementalist could only fight mobs between levels 25-30. If he visited all the mob zones, he would definitely find him.
Sure enough, before long, Ye Fan saw various large-area skills raging on a grassland. Ordinary Elementalists didn't have this many skills at level 30; needless to say, it must be that little Elementalist.
Daring to delete me, Ye Fan, from your friends list—if I don't teach you a lesson, you won't know who the number one person in the Awakened Alliance is.
"Fire Rain!"
"Sandstorm!"
Yun Ge was casting skills steadily. Su Lei could still only lure a dozen or so mobs back each time, but Yun Ge didn't mind it being few. As long as he could level up steadily, that was fine. Given the changes in the Abyss, he probably wouldn't have many more days of peace.
While fighting, Yun Ge was constantly scanning his surroundings. Choosing this grassland with a wide field of vision was also because the terrain was open; if someone launched a sneak attack, Yun Ge could quickly retreat.
After successfully killing the Abyssal Sovereign, Yun Ge's friend list kept sending notifications. People were still trying to add him, and Yun Ge couldn't keep up with them at all. How could he know that Ye Fan was stomping his feet in anxiety?
A legendary-grade staff; it would be strange if Ye Fan wasn't chasing after him for it.
"Blizzard!"
Yun Ge raised his staff high to cast Blizzard, harvesting the low-HP Saber-toothed Tigers, but he noticed a strange number pop up in the air:
"-20!"
"?"
"What the hell? High-level mob, or..."
"Damn, a Betrayer!"
Yun Ge hadn't flagged for PvP. Besides dealing damage to mobs, he would only deal damage if a Betrayer or someone who had actively flagged for PvP rushed at him. Yun Ge's heart tightened; Blizzard only dealt 20 damage, meaning this Betrayer was very high level!
Someone from the Liu Family!
Yun Ge immediately cast Ice Shield on himself, then used Ground Shrinking Technique to retreat a few steps, ready at any moment to use Ice Barrier!
The one who had flagged for PvP was, of course, Ye Fan. Ye Fan intended to teach Yun Ge a lesson, but he had been hit before he could even get close.
"Little Elementalist, you've got quite a lot of skills!"
