229: Chapter 229 Can you hold out?

"If you want to hold aggro steadily, you can't just rely on skills. The most basic thing is to have high attack power, understand?"

After Ma Sai pulled the aggro of the Corrosive Liquid Dragon, he used Taunt to take over all the small mobs chasing the Shield Warrior, and while he was at it, he taunted the Shield Warrior as well.

How did a tank with only an Level 80 Gold weapon have the nerve to try and snatch territory? He couldn't even defeat a Level 200 Elite Monster—pathetic.

Ma Sai had only briefly controlled the mobs' aggro before ninety percent of them were killed by Yun Ge. Ma Sai's damage was high, but Yun Ge's was even higher. With a legendary necklace, a Divine Artifact Staff, various buffs, and the enhancement of Prophecy, most importantly, every hit from Yun Ge was a critical strike!

The Berserker clutched his face. The slap didn't actually do much damage; the real damage was the humiliation. Old Ma had thought that after reaching Level 100, he would become one of the most powerful Awakened and a hero of humanity. He never expected to be slapped in the face so hard!

"Big brother, they just got lucky. We already whittled down so much of that Elite Monster's health earlier. Plus, they were being malicious on purpose, letting the mobs through, otherwise..."

"Otherwise, we could have killed that Elite Monster ourselves!"

The Berserker was unconvinced. Not just him, but the Archer and Elementalist in the team were also indignant. Everything had been going smoothly at first; it was just that the Shield Warrior hadn't held the aggro well, and then that team of Level 90 Awakened had let the mobs through.

What a pity. If only they could have gotten that Level 100 Gold equipment.

Hearing this, the Shield Warrior's expression flickered with uncertainty. His teammates' words weren't entirely without merit. If that other team hadn't let the mobs through, it would have been impossible for their team to lose to a single Elite Monster.
