257: The Immortal Lord's defeat CG

The Hundred-Eyed Immortal Lord, with a centipede as his spine, let out a non-human hiss. His body contorted into a bizarre, mollusk-like posture that completely defied human skeletal structure as he pounced toward Lu Jianchuan!

His speed was incredibly fast, and his trajectory was even more cunning and unpredictable.

Lu Jianchuan's eyes narrowed. He didn't take the hit head-on; instead, lightning exploded beneath his feet as he retreated rapidly. At the same time, crackling protective currents erupted around him, forming a circle of blue-white electric mesh—'Touch me, and you'll get shocked!'

However, halfway through his pounce, the giant centipede torso fused to the Hundred-Eyed Immortal Lord's back suddenly arched. The gaps in its carapace snapped open, and dozens of sharp poisonous stings, coated in a faint blue cold light, shot out like bolts from a powerful crossbow, covering Lu Jianchuan's entire body!

“Holy crap! You can even do that?” Lu Jianchuan cursed inwardly. His protective current wasn't enough to completely block such physical projectiles, so he had to rely on his extreme speed to dodge again. The poisonous stings buried themselves deep into the rock wall behind him with a sizzling sound.

Avoiding this round of sneak attacks, Lu Jianchuan counterattacked instantly, closing the distance to engage in close-quarters combat with the Hundred-Eyed Immortal Lord.

The Immortal Lord's terrifying dynamic vision still caused most of his attacks to miss, but Lu Jianchuan keenly noticed that the rotation of the countless tiny pupils in the other's eye sockets began to show imperceptible delays and disorder.

Maintaining such overloaded visual processing for a long time clearly brought a huge mental burden.

An opportunity!

Lu Jianchuan feinted high but actually delivered a heavy low sweep kick that slammed into the weak joint of the Immortal Lord's calf.

Although the Immortal Lord's vision caught the movement, his body's reaction was ultimately half a beat too slow, and he staggered.

Lu Jianchuan took advantage of the opening to step forward, delivering a fierce knee strike that connected solidly with the opponent's jaw, snapping his head back.

Immediately after, Lu Jianchuan clenched his fists. Dazzling lightning converged frantically as he slammed a merciless lightning-charged heavy punch into the Immortal Lord's abdomen!

“Ugh—!”

A powerful current surged through the Immortal Lord's body, lifting him off his feet and throwing him backward. He crashed heavily to the ground, with electric arcs dancing across his skin and blue smoke rising, temporarily losing the ability to Move.

Lu Jianchuan panted slightly as he looked at his twitching opponent on the ground. He had originally wanted to leave him alive for GUPA interrogation, since it involved intelligence on the The Fellowship and the so-called Immortals. He watched warily for a few seconds, and seeing that the opponent really seemed immobile, he turned to head deeper into the cave to find The Blind Man.

Just as he turned and took two steps, a sudden change occurred!

The Immortal Lord, who should have been seriously injured, suddenly had the centipede torso on his back writhe frantically, secreting a large amount of thick, pungent-smelling regenerative enzymes to forcibly stabilize his injuries. He sprang up like a reanimated corpse, the centipede mouthparts on his back gaping wide as he lunged silently toward the back of Lu Jianchuan's neck in a twisted posture!

But Lu Jianchuan had never completely let his guard down. The moment the foul wind approached from behind, he didn't even turn his head as the energy stored within him exploded!

“Boom!”

A circular thunderstorm several times more intense than before exploded with him as the center! Dazzling blue-white plasma engulfed the Immortal Lord mid-air once again, charring him black and making him let out a shrill scream. His attack was interrupted, and he was violently blown away by the frenzied repulsive force, slamming into the rock wall.

Only then did Lu Jianchuan slowly turn around, his eyes completely cold. He walked step by step toward the Immortal Lord, who was slumped on the ground and convulsing from the electrical overload. He leaned down, his lightning-covered right hand grabbing the other's cheek and pinning his head firmly into the gravel and dust of the ground.

“I gave you a chance to live...”

Lu Jianchuan's voice was low. At the point where his right palm met the other's cheek, an unprecedented, almost solid brilliant lightning began to frantically converge and compress, letting out a heart-palpitating hum.

“It seems ordinary current can't deal with a monster like you. This time, whether you live or die depends on whether your life is tough enough.”

Without hesitation, that concentrated, terrifying lightning energy was mercilessly poured in at zero distance!

“Zzz—Bang!!!”

Blinding light and explosions filled the entire cave. After the glare faded, Lu Jianchuan released his hand and slowly stood up.

Before him remained only a completely charred, twisted body emitting pungent blue smoke, with vital signs so weak they were almost undetectable, making it hard to tell if he was alive or dead.

Lu Jianchuan didn't look back, turning and walking quickly toward the depths of the cave where The Blind Man was imprisoned.

On the other side, Wei Ziqing held his breath and focused, preparing to wait for the Hanfu Immortal to take Little Stone further away—out of the range where other enemies might detect him—before moving to save him. He was fully concentrated on his target, his footsteps as light as a cat's.

Just as he was about to dart out from behind a giant rock and launch a surprise attack—

Whoosh!

A heavy black shadow accompanied by a foul wind smashed toward him from his flank! It was actually a pitch-black iron coffin!

Alarm bells rang in Wei Ziqing's mind. He instantly abandoned his attack, exerted force with his waist, and did a frantic roll to the side, narrowly avoiding it.

The coffin grazed his back and smashed into the ground with a dull thud, sending dust flying.

He quickly flipped up. He saw the lean, tall Daoist he had seen earlier in the cave, the one carrying a coffin (let's call him the Coffin Immortal), lifting the coffin with one hand and shouldering it again. His narrow eyes stared coldly at him, his tone mocking:

“Oh my, I didn't expect a little mouse to be hiding here. Hmph.”

Before he finished speaking, the Coffin Immortal had already charged forward with a bizarre gait while carrying the coffin. That heavy coffin seemed weightless in his hands as it swept toward Wei Ziqing with the force of ten thousand catties!

Wei Ziqing's eyes narrowed. He drew his dark bone sword from the scabbard behind his waist with a 'clang' and charged forward instead of retreating. He knew the characteristics of heavy weapons; he couldn't face them head-on and had to get close!

“Clang!”

The bone sword accurately parried the iron hoop on the side of the coffin, producing a piercing sound of clashing metal.

Wei Ziqing used the force to spin, shedding most of the impact, while the sword tip, like a venomous snake's tongue, stabbed toward the arm holding the coffin.

The Coffin Immortal reacted quickly as well. With a flick of his wrist, the heavy coffin moved back like a shield, blocking the sword strike again, before swinging down with immense force.

Wei Ziqing's figure was agile, like willow catkins in the wind, dodging every time the coffin was about to hit him and never taking it head-on. He constantly maneuvered while dodging, looking for gaps and flaws in the opponent's Move transitions.

The opportunity came! The Coffin Immortal raised the coffin over his head once more, intending to smash it down.

A sharp light flashed in Wei Ziqing's eyes. He kicked off the ground, his figure leaping into the air, and actually accurately stepped onto the descending coffin lid. He used the force to leap again while twisting his waist, and the bone sword in his hand, aided by the rotational force, turned into a dark arc of light that slashed horizontally toward the Coffin Immortal's neck!

The Coffin Immortal hadn't expected the opponent to be so bold and agile. In his haste, he had no choice but to let go and abandon the coffin, leaning back and falling to the ground, narrowly avoiding the lethal sword strike.

But he didn't notice that when Wei Ziqing spun and swung his sword, the plain white 'skirt hem' behind his waist had quietly flicked, and a fine mist of biological fluorescent powder had silently fallen onto the ground around where he had just been standing.

“Bang!” The heavy coffin hit the ground.

The Coffin Immortal rolled to his feet, his eyes filled with malice. Just as he was about to turn back to retrieve his weapon, he heard Wei Ziqing suddenly point to an empty space to the side and shout in a surprised tone: “Over there! Wow! A UFO?!”

“Huh?” The Coffin Immortal froze subconsciously, his head involuntarily turning toward the direction Wei Ziqing pointed. His gaze landed exactly on the patch of ground covered in powder.

The moment his vision focused—

“Puff—!!!”

The powder on the ground reacted violently with the air, and an extremely blinding, brilliant white light suddenly erupted!

Being so close and unprepared, the Coffin Immortal felt his vision turn instantly white, followed by a burning pain in his eyeballs and a sense of total blindness. He couldn't help but let out a painful scream:

“Ah—my eyes!”

“Good chance!” Wei Ziqing shouted low. His figure had already shot out like an arrow from a bow, the bone sword stabbing straight toward the opponent's heart.

Although the Coffin Immortal was blinded by the strong light and was in pain and confusion, his combat instincts remained. Hearing the sound of wind, he actually lunged toward his coffin based on memory and feeling, grabbed the edges with both hands, let out a roar, and flipped the heavy coffin lid upward!

“Crash—!”

The coffin lid opened, and it wasn't empty inside; instead, countless black, scalp-numbing poisonous insects instantly swarmed out!

Centipedes, scorpions, poisonous beetles... they writhed and tangled together. Even more horrifying was that as the swarm emerged, many pale bones were also brought out and scattered on the ground, among which were clearly human finger bones and ribs!

Clearly, this coffin was not just a weapon, but also the nest and 'canteen' for these poisonous insects!

After emerging from the coffin, the swarm, as if driven by rage or hunger, launched an indiscriminate attack on every living thing except the Coffin Immortal, not even sparing the nearby trees and bushes, gnawing frantically.

“Whoa!” Seeing this, Wei Ziqing's forward momentum came to a halt, and he switched to a rapid retreat to dodge. While avoiding several poisonous Centipedes that shot toward him, he spun again and flicked his skirt hem, scattering more powder onto the swarming insects.

“Puff! Sizzle—!”

The powder adhered to the carapaces of the poisonous insects and immediately emitted light and heat. Many insects were burned until they curled up, smoked, or even directly spontaneously combusted, emitting a scorched stench. The swarm's offensive faltered.

Just then, the Coffin Immortal, who was blindly waving his arms to disperse the light spots and pain before his eyes, probably due to the intense pain and dizziness, actually swung the heavy coffin wildly toward the general direction of the insects' hissing and Wei Ziqing, instead smashing quite a few of his own insects into a spray of fluids.

Wei Ziqing's eyes turned cold as he seized this moment of the opponent's complete chaos. He lowered his body and closed in with a swift slide tackle, followed by a sharp sweep kick that accurately hit the Coffin Immortal's supporting ankle!

“Crack!”

“Ugh!” The Coffin Immortal cried out in pain, his center of gravity completely lost as he fell backward.

Wei Ziqing didn't stop, closing in as the bone sword in his hand turned into two swift cold lights, accurately stabbing into the opponent's shoulder joints. He didn't go deep into vital organs, but the potent Neuroparalytic Toxin carried by the blade was instantly injected.

The Coffin Immortal's body suddenly stiffened, and then he slumped down as if his bones had been removed. His eyes remained wide open but had lost their focus, leaving only unconscious twitching as he could no longer Move.
