129: Chapter 129 Advance Team? Assemble and Head to District 068!

Iron Wall had a solemn expression.

The adjutant beside him stood with his mouth agape, unable to close it for a long time.

"How... how did they do it? Ten kilometers?"

Iron Wall recalled that afternoon when he had been extorted for eight thousand rounds of ammunition by Chen Chen.

He should have realized it then—this was not the kind of person to provoke.

Jiang Jiuyou stood in the fourth-floor cockpit, watching the fireball rising ten kilometers away through the panoramic window.

She glanced back at Chen Chen.

Chen Chen sat in the driver's seat, without even moving a finger.

All the operations had been completed by Qin Hongye.

One shot.

...

The remaining six chariots did not slow down.

Chen Chen frowned slightly.

A normal person's first reaction upon seeing their leader insta-killed would be to brake or turn.

These six not only didn't slow down, but instead broke formation and dispersed in different directions.

A standard deployment for a suicide charge.

The organic tentacles on the roofs began to swell, splitting open at the tips to reveal dripping, slimy orifices.

Shen Wanbing's voice rose half an octave.

"Energy fluctuations are surging! The rooftop devices are charging—that's some kind of biological weapon, it might release large-scale spores or toxic mist!"

Can't let them disperse.

"Jiang Yanxue, Su Xiaoqi, go out."

Chen Chen stood up. "Blood Rose, apply poison to them."

The armored door opened for the second time.

Blood Rose was the first to reach the door.

The blanket she had been wrapped in was discarded; the zipper of her black leather suit was only pulled up to below her chest, and the vast expanse of snowy white skin was blinding in the morning light.

She raised her hand, and two wisps of pink Mutated Lust Poison flicked from her fingers—one attaching to the Shadow Instant-Kill Blade Jiang Yanxue drew, and the other wrapping around Su Xiaoqi's clenched fist.

"The defense-reduction effect lasts for sixty seconds."

Blood Rose leaned against the doorframe, her burgundy curls covering half her face. "That's enough."

Jiang Yanxue turned into a black afterimage and charged out.

Her dark red pupils locked onto the nearest chariot, and she swung the Shadow Instant-Kill Blade, shrouded in pink toxic mist, in a horizontal slash.

One strike.

The moment the blade, carrying the defense-reducing toxin, touched the chariot's armor, the bone and flesh tissues welded to the vehicle body rapidly decayed and dissolved, cutting its defense in half instantly.

The blade sliced through smoothly; from the cockpit to the tail, the entire vehicle was split in two.

Inside the vehicle, the Cultists wore white cloth robes, their faces contorted as they muttered prayers—only for their bodies to be cleaved open by the blade.

As the second one charged over, Su Xiaoqi moved to meet it.

The 1.6-meter-tall loli kicked off the ground, causing spiderweb cracks to explode on the surface as she catapulted herself forward.

Her baggy T-shirt was pressed against her body by the airflow, revealing the exaggerated silhouette of her terrifying 36E measurements.

Her fist, enveloped in pink toxic mist and carrying the full power of fifty-nine points of constitution, smashed onto the chariot's hood.

The ten-ton chariot was smashed into a flat disk by a single punch.

The chassis was flattened, wheels flew thirty meters away, and the organic tentacles on the roof exploded into a mass of slime from the shockwave.

Su Xiaoqi crawled out from the pile of scrap metal, still dangling half a piece of jerky from her mouth, and gave a thumbs-up in the direction of the Ghost Fortress.

The independents watching from below felt their legs trembling.

That loli—she flattened a chariot with one punch.

The adjutant beside Iron Wall spoke with a trembling voice: "Sir... is that little girl... not quite normal?"

"Shut up." Iron Wall's throat was parched to the point of smoking.

Jiang Yanxue and Su Xiaoqi coordinated perfectly, clearing four vehicles in three minutes.

But the last one didn't charge.

It stopped two kilometers away.

The door opened, and a man covered in tumors stepped out.

Wearing a white cloth robe, bald, and barefoot on the Gobi desert.

His original features were almost indistinguishable, completely covered by dark red tumors of various sizes.

Shen Wanbing's concentration ice heart necklace suddenly emitted a piercing high-frequency vibration—the blue light shifted from a steady output to frantic flashing.

"Mental Pollution warning! The energy fluctuations on that person are skyrocketing—Tier 3! Close to Tier 3!"

The Tumorous Man threw his head back and laughed.

His laughter was mixed with hissing electrical noise and a low-frequency resonance that didn't belong to human vocal cords.

Then, he plunged both hands into his own chest cavity.

Flesh was torn open, and dark red blood and slime gushed out.

Deep within his chest cavity, a fist-sized black crystal was throbbing wildly.

A seed.

A seed of the Lord of Flesh.

"Bang—!"

Qin Hongye's Gauss projectile arrived.

It pierced the Tumorous Man's right shoulder—but missed the chest cavity.

The fleshy tissue on the Tumorous Man's body automatically swelled the moment the projectile made contact, forming a three-centimeter-thick meat shield.

The weak point marker from Fatal Lock lit up, but the Tumorous Man actively shifted his body before detonating the seed, causing the weak point to evade the trajectory.

"It's self-destructing!" Shen Wanbing's voice was practically a scream.

"The Mental Pollution ripples have already started to spread—the radius is growing—five hundred meters—eight hundred meters—"

Two kilometers away, the Tumorous Man's body began to swell, and dark red mental ripples spread in all directions.

Wherever the ripples passed, the gravel on the ground began to twist and deform.

People in the camp were already clutching their heads and screaming—the independent survivors with low Spirit attributes were the first to be hit, with several kneeling on the ground, their hands clawing desperately at their temples.

Jiang Yanxue and Su Xiaoqi also stopped.

They were too close to the Tumorous Man—one thousand two hundred meters.

Jiang Yanxue's hand holding the blade was shaking.

An uncontrollable sense of dizziness churned within her dark red pupils.

"Chen Chen—this thing—"

"Come back."

Inside the first-floor carriage, the blue light of Shen Wanbing's concentration ice heart necklace had turned into a continuous high-frequency flickering. She gritted her teeth and pressed down on the necklace, her face pale.

The coverage radius of the Mental Pollution was still growing.

One thousand meters, one thousand two hundred meters.

In another ten seconds, it would reach the Ghost Fortress.

Fourth-floor cockpit.

Chen Chen sat in the driver's seat and pressed the red button on the console with his right hand.

On the roof.

The diamond-shaped focusing prism of the Void Annihilation Matrix stopped rotating and locked onto the target.

The grade a nuclear reactor instantly drew dark energy, and a visible stream of eerie blue light surged through the energy conduits, climbing from the base up the hemisphere and finally converging at the prism's focal point.

A beam of eerie blue light as thick as a bucket shot out from the roof.

There was no sound where the beam passed.

Even the medium for air vibration had been erased.

Two kilometers away, that pillar of light pierced through the Tumorous Man's body, the Gobi rock layers beneath his feet, and the wreckage of the final chariot behind him.

The parts it passed through—disappeared.

Erased from the material level.

The mental ripples released by the Tumorous Man collapsed the moment the light pillar made contact; the dark red ripples curled, shattered, and dissipated from the center like glowing hot paper.

From the moment Chen Chen pressed the button until it all ended—0.1 seconds.

The beam extinguished.

The entire scene was dead silent.

Everyone was looking in the same direction.

Two kilometers away, at the spot where the Tumorous Man had stood, there was nothing left.

Extending backward—was a straight ravine.

The ravine was about two meters wide, extending from the starting point all the way to the end of the horizon.

The cross-sections on both sides of the ravine were incredibly smooth; the cut surfaces of the rock layers had been instantly vitrified by the high temperature, refracting colorful light under the sun.

Length—estimated by the naked eye to be at least five kilometers.

Iron Wall knelt.

His knees hit the gravel, hands propping him up on the ground, all color draining from his face within three seconds.

Behind him, over a hundred military soldiers, from officers to privates, were all dumbfounded without exception.

Not to mention the independents; the man with the engineering box slumped directly onto the ground, a wet patch appearing on his crotch.

Five kilometers.

One blast.

Not even ash remained.

"Ho—ly—shit—"

It was unknown who squeezed those words out of their throat.

The voice was small, but exceptionally clear on the silent Gobi desert.

Jiang Jiuyou stood before the fourth-floor panoramic window, her hands gripping the cockpit's handrail.

Her knuckles were white.

She turned her head to glance at Chen Chen.

Chen Chen stood up from the driver's seat and flexed his wrists.

"Eight-second cooldown." He glanced at the weapon status on the panel. "Energy storage consumption: ten percent."

Jiang Jiuyou opened her mouth, for the first time failing to formulate words immediately.

It took three seconds for her to find her voice again.

"...What on earth did you build?"

Chen Chen pressed the loudspeaker.

His voice spread across the entire Gobi desert.

"Clean up the battlefield."

Some people below began to move, but most remained frozen in place.

Chen Chen added a second sentence.

"All forces, set out. Target: the border of Sector 068."

This time, everyone heard him.
