203: What did you guess?

A faint white light appeared on the horizon, shining into the room through the window.

He released his hand, and the delicate woman in his arms shifted into a more comfortable sleeping position, her hair resting on his leg, her body curled into a ball.

Jiang Hanwen pulled the blanket up, covering the slipping whiteness.

His current guess held a two-point certainty, but it wasn't enough; he needed to personally visit that underground palace and verify it again.

Lost in thought, Jiang Hanwen lowered his head, his eyes sparkling, a pair of sharp, beautiful eyes like hooks, captivating his mind.

"Are you planning to hold me like this forever?"

Looking at him, Zheng Yunxu's lips curved slightly, revealing a hint of playfulness and charm.

Jiang Hanwen's cheeks flushed slightly, and he made to pull away.

"Don't move!"

Zheng Yunxu pulled the blanket down, rolled over, switched from her left to her right cheek, and continued to snuggle.

After half a day of lingering in bed, the sound of cooking echoed from outside. It was already noon when Zheng Yunxu opened her eyes again.

She looked up at him:

"What about what you said yesterday? Is there more?"

"I'm going to check out that underground palace," Jiang Hanwen said seriously.

"You should have said so earlier, you made me waste a whole morning." Lazily stretching her body, Zheng Yunxu sat up directly.

The next second, the black velvet blanket slid down, revealing a pure, jewel-like whiteness.

A dark crimson spider "tattoo" was etched in the middle of her smooth back, her skin as soft and smooth as jade, making oneCan't help it want to reach out and touch it.

The biting winter cold seemed pale and dared not act presumptuously at this moment.

Jiang Hanwen froze instantly, quickly turning his head and getting up.

"What are you doing? You haven't not seen it before." Zheng Yunxu was completely oblivious to her unique feminine charm, pointing to the wardrobe beside her:

"Get me my clothes, I want the black one."

Jiang Hanwen opened the wardrobe, and became even more embarrassed.

The first wardrobe he opened was filled with various dudous (traditional Chinese undergarments) and underpants.

"You get them yourself, I'll wait for you outside." With a whoosh, the room door slammed shut, and his figure was nowhere to be seen inside.

Seeing him run out, Zheng Yunxu's cheeks instantly flushed crimson, completely losing her composure from just moments before.

After a while, Zheng Yunxu walked out of the room, wearing a light gray long dress embroidered with silver threads, draped with a blue fox fur, and a golden jade tortoise shell hairpin inserted into her shiny black hair, sparkling under the sunlight.

Jia Ren walked up to Jiang Hanwen, looking at him with a half-smile: "I told you not to touch a woman's wardrobe."

Jiang Hanwen's face was red, and he didn't know how to respond.

It really was that saying, only women and villains are hard to deal with.

You were the one who told me to open the wardrobe, and now it's my fault? Where can I go to reason?

The former site of Black Wind Martial Hall had already been sold by the Zhong Family and converted into a restaurant.

Led by Zheng Yunxu, the two of them didn't go to the restaurant, but instead came to a riverbank a thousand meters away from the restaurant.

The ground was covered with a layer of white snow, and the river was frozen with a crystalline ice surface, with only a gurgling cold current, about the thickness of a thigh, carving a groove in the middle of the white.

The two walked to a giant yellow-leaf fig tree.

The thick tree trunk was wide enough for five people to embrace, and the tree was over ten zhang tall; it had been there for many years.

Time had carved deep lines into the bark, each three inches deep, like unfathomable spatial rifts.

Zheng Yunxu walked to the tree and stood still, placing one hand on the bark.

"Hug me."

"Huh?" Jiang Hanwen was stunned.

"Idiot!"

After saying it with disdain, Zheng Yunxu pulled Jiang Hanwen over, her two hands tightly embracing herself.

The two were pressed close, in zero-distance contact. The fragrant scent from her hair wafted into his nostrils, and Jiang Hanwen's face turned red.

"Hug tighter!" Zheng Yunxu said.

Jiang Hanwen exerted a little more force, accidentally touching the woman's softness.

He didn't know whether to move or not, so he simply held her like that, his cheek pressed against her ear.

Zheng Yunxu had lost her earlier spiritedness, falling silent, her earlobes burning red, warming up along with Jiang Hanwen's cheeks.

The two were so close that they could both hear each other's hearts pounding like wild horses.

Zheng Yunxu clenched her fist and knocked on the tree.

The seemingly rigid bark rippled like water.

The next second, the world spun.

In the endless darkness, Jiang Hanwen felt a strong sense of weightlessness. The sound of wind in his ears told him that he was constantly falling.

His grip tightened by another three points. In the place he couldn't see, a snow-white cheek was burning hot like blood, her whole body seemed like a puddle of water, devoid of strength, softening.

After ten breaths, the whooshing sound of wind in his ears slowed, and the sensation of solid ground beneath his feet gradually returned.

A pale green light appeared before his eyes, flickering like fireflies.

The green lights grew more numerous until the sense of weightlessness completely disappeared, and he found himself standing in a sealed, narrow corridor.

Crystal stones glowed on the left and right walls of the corridor, and at the end was a half-open stone door, revealing a black crack.

"How long do you plan to hug me?" A charming murmur sounded in his ear, her breath like orchids, making Jiang Hanwen's bones go soft.

He froze for a moment, then quickly released his hands and stepped back two paces.

"Thud!"

When Jiang Hanwen let go, Zheng Yunxu stumbled, turned her head, her willow-like eyebrows furrowed, and she gave him a glare.

"Couldn't you have given me a heads-up?"

After speaking, Jia Ren extended her hand.

"Hold my hand, there's a Formation here. If you take the wrong path, don't blame me."

Clutching the soft hand, Zheng Yunxu did not walk down the narrow passage.

Instead, she walked directly into the wall on the left, where a hazy glow enveloped the two of them.

Jiang Hanwen followed the fluorescent light; the source of light was on Zheng Yunxu's finger.

It was the ring she had obtained from the Ancient Witch.

Ten steps to the left, three steps forward, seven steps to the right, and then two steps back.

After ten breaths, the boundless darkness before their eyes disappeared.

Blinding light made Jiang Hanwen squint.

At this moment, the two of them stood behind a spacious bronze door.

The door, covered in rust, was inscribed with dense, squiggly characters like tadpoles twisted together.

To their left and right were spacious stone corridors, with white light crystals hanging on the walls, casting a soft glow.

Jiang Hanwen had seen this scene through Zheng Yunxu's perspective; they were already inside the underground palace.

"Everything in here is safe, go explore. I'm going to sleep for a bit."

After she spoke, a bed appeared on the ground, and Zheng Yunxu lay down, beginning to undress in a fresh and natural manner.

Jiang Hanwen didn't spare another glance, turning around to begin his own exploration.

Taking off her cloak, she was about to take off her clothes when she saw Jiang Hanwen turn into a room.

Disappointment flickered in Zheng Yunxu's eyes; she lost the urge to continue, tossed the blanket up, and covered herself completely in the darkness.

The entire underground palace was generally in a rectangular shape, with three outer layers, a room every five meters, and in the very center of the inner circle, was the cave that tormented Zheng Yunxu.

Jiang Hanwen investigated room by room. There were snake pits for raising snakes, and poisonous water with lingering greenish traces... After examining all the rooms, almost nothing was left; they were empty and very clean.

He went down into the cave and found it to be a large hole twenty zhang deep, with nothing but corpses covering the ground.

Finally, he arrived at today's main focus.

The room where "surgeries" were performed, and also where corpses were stored.

Upon entering the room, Jiang Hanwen immediately felt a sense of oppression, his feet subconsciously bracing themselves.

On the surrounding walls, there were only characters, but the Spiritual Qi in the air was so dense, it was as if he had come to the bottom of a waterfall, the roaring pressure of water falling from a thousand meters high, crashing down on his Soul.

On the wall, where the bodies had previously been stored, there were only grooves.

Jiang Hanwen approached; a layer of fine black powder lay at the bottom of the grooves. This smell—the stench of corpses!

He meticulously examined it, not letting go of any clue.

After inspecting the smooth grooves and coffin-like platforms, he looked up, and his whole body froze; he saw a ceiling full of Spirit Stones, each emitting a faint purple glow!

There were at least tens of thousands of them here!

"Yunxu!"

He called out.

After a rustling of footsteps, a pair of resentful eyes glanced over.

"What's wrong?"

Jiang Hanwen, with a greedy look, pointed upwards: "Can we dismantle these?"

"Don't even think about it." Zheng Yunxu pointed to her own back:

"Including those on the walls, they've all been consumed by this thing. If you try to take them down, they'll shatter immediately."

Although he was happy for nothing, this investigation was not without any gains.

Jiang Hanwen pointed to the empty grooves on the wall and said:

"Is this the Black Armored Corpse!"

Zheng Yunxu's pupils widened, a little surprised. She hadn't expected Jiang Hanwen to know.

"Did you guess?" she asked.
