11: Chapter 12 Tying Up Pigs
Pigsy flew into a rage; his body swelled and bulged, his face becoming increasingly hideous, like rotting flesh soaked in a stagnant puddle, with thick, foul-smelling saliva hanging from his fangs.
He looked just like a great demon with monstrous, soaring demonic flames!
Pigsy raised his nine-pronged rake, intending to skewer the Heavenly Immortal Dragon who had deceived his feelings right then and there.
"Thief, prepare to die! This old Pig will take your life!"
Seeing Pigsy closing in, Ao Lie had no choice but to reveal his trump card in his desperation.
"Stand up!"
The moment the words were spoken, nearly hundreds of ordinary Heavenly Immortal-level shadows emerged within the Immortal Cave.
Although the sudden appearance of these shadows blocked Pigsy's charge, it was unable to stop him.
They simply leaped a hundred meters away the moment they appeared.
Pigsy then continued his fierce charge; he was like a lion facing hundreds of puppies, simply cutting through them like vegetables!
Pigsy paid no attention to the attacks from those Heavenly Immortal shadows, waving his rake wildly with his large hands and rushing straight toward Ao Lie.
In the blink of an eye, the distance between the two in the nearly thousand-square-meter Immortal Cave rapidly closed...
But suddenly, a powerful aura appeared, making even Pigsy, who was at the Taiyi Golden Immortal Realm, somewhat wary.
As soon as that aura appeared, Pigsy retreated to his original spot, his eyes growing vigilant.
The dark shadow appeared—over three meters tall, with a scar over his right eye and exposed fangs, making him slightly taller than Pigsy.
He held a black-tasseled spear, wore leather boots, was clad in bronze and iron armor, and donned a blood-colored cape.
He was every bit a great general of the Heavenly Court!
Seeing this, Ao Lie's heart settled, and he too flew into a rage, knowing that Pigsy would retreat if injured.
But as long as it wasn't a fatal blow, his Little Black could just keep charging forward!
Moreover, since both demons were of the same cultivation level, Little Black would certainly be able to win.
It was a pity that he couldn't kill him, and even less able to stop him if Pigsy was determined to escape.
Ao Lie spread his hands and pointed, ordering coldly.
"All units, attack!"
Immediately, led by Little Black, over a hundred Heavenly Immortal-level shadows swarmed toward Pigsy.
Pigsy's eyes widened; he didn't understand why a great demon at the Late Stage of the Taiyi Golden Immortal Realm, who could be called a half-step Daluo, would take orders from a mere Heavenly Immortal brat.
He couldn't understand, and he didn't have time to understand; he had to escape! If he insisted on staying here to fight that Black Bear Spirit, he would die!
"Damn it! Screw your mother."
Pigsy spat out a curse and turned to flee toward the outside of the cave. He chanted a spell, and the dozens-of-meters-high stone gate of the Immortal Cave rumbled open to the sides.
But the next second, Pigsy's eyes widened, and he retreated rapidly, so scared that he lost control of his bowels.
He saw a short figure outside the door, smirking and bringing a gleaming silver iron rod down upon his head.
At the same time, the short figure shouted.
"Monster, where are you fleeing to!"
Because Pigsy retreated, although he fell down, he was fortunate in his misfortune; the ten-thousand-jin iron rod luckily did not hit him, but instead landed between his legs...
Pigsy looked at the iron rod, then at the golden eyes flickering with fire, and then at the height of the person in front of him, trembling with panic as he said.
"Who are you? The Great Sage the Equal of Heaven! That monkey who caused Havoc in Heaven five hundred years ago! How did you find this place?"
The Monkey King ignored him, took out a rope shining with golden light, and chanted a mantra.
Then, the rope seemed to have a mind of its own, slipping into Pigsy's clothes and tying him up.
"Immortal-Binding Rope! You actually managed to obtain such an Innate Spirit Treasure! Sigh... I give up; do with me what you will, kill me or carve me up!"
Pigsy lowered his head, his Physical Body returning to its usual state, and then he stopped speaking.
Ao Lie also saw this scene and immediately beamed with joy, running toward the Furry Monkey.
"Senior Brother is mighty!"
The Furry Monkey nodded, looked at Pigsy, pondered for a moment, and spoke.
"To think that I, Old Sun, and Master have traveled all the way from the Eastern Land Great Tang, only to almost stumble here because of you. If my dear Junior Brother had suffered even the slightest mishap, I would have taken your pig life!"
After the Furry Monkey finished speaking, he looked at Ao Lie, asking him how to dispose of Pigsy.
Originally, Ao Lie intended to kill Pigsy directly and turn him into a shadow, but he was afraid of ruining the layout of the Journey to the West and causing himself to be targeted by the Buddhas.
Just as Ao Lie was struggling with the decision, Pigsy raised his head, a light flickering in his eyes.
And the meaning of that light was clearly the light of being saved, of being reborn, of hope.
"Are the two of you heading to the Western Heaven to obtain the scriptures? Is your master named Tang Sanzang?"
The Furry Monkey glared and scolded Pigsy.
"What nonsense are you spouting? Is this something a dying person like you should be talking about?"
Hearing this, the Furry Monkey prepared to raise his rod and beat Pigsy to death, but was stopped by Ao Lie.
Ao Lie knew very well that it was time for the reunion segment...
"Senior Brother, do not act yet. Why not listen to what this fellow has to say before making a decision!"
The Furry Monkey snorted coldly upon hearing this, put away his Golden Cudgel by stuffing it into his ear, and then said coldly to Pigsy.
"You should be grateful that someone spoke up for you!"
Pigsy looked gratefully at Ao Lie and the Furry Monkey, crying and sobbing as he poured out his story.
"Senior Brother, Second Senior Brother! I am the Third Junior Brother!"
The Furry Monkey wanted to raise his rod to strike again upon hearing this, but this scene reminded him of Ao Lie in Chapter 2, "Report Your Name," so although he was shaken and angry, he held back his rod and listened.
"Speak clearly, what is the reason for this?"
Pigsy continued.
"Since you are from the Eastern Land Great Tang and are going to the Western Heaven to obtain the scriptures, then that must be it."
"When I descended to the mortal realm, Guanyin Bodhisattva advised me to do good deeds. When I meet a monk from the Eastern Land Great Tang, I must take him as my master and protect his safety!"
Upon hearing this, Ao Lie and the Monkey King both showed expressions of sudden realization, though of course, Ao Lie was faking it.
"You fool, you actually had such an encounter, much like Junior Brother Ao! Since that's the case, let us take you, you fool, to see Master!"
Pigsy kowtowed repeatedly upon hearing this.
...
It was dawn, the horizon was brightening with a fish-belly white, and the sounds of beasts roaring and birds chirping were incessant.
After the three of them flew out of the Cloud-Stack Cave, they returned to the Gao family estate through various maneuvers.
At this time, the Gao family estate was still brightly lit, and Tang Seng was in the main hall talking with a group of Gao family elders.
Everyone was laughing and chatting, getting along very well, when at that moment, the Monkey King's voice came from afar.
The leader of the Gao family, Old Master Gao, hurried out to welcome them, shouting at the same time.
"It's him, it's him, the monster who harmed my daughter!"
Pigsy heard this and cast a cold glance, scaring the old master into retreating again.
He then put on a performance of a tragic story, weeping and sobbing as he recounted his experiences while revealing his identity to Tang Seng.
Tang Seng was very happy and took on another Disciple.
So, for the convenience of calling him, he helped Pigsy take a name.
...
Pigsy was very happy; Guanyin Bodhisattva had given him the Dharma Name Wuneng, and his master had given him the name Pigsy.
Wuneng thought this way, and became even more ingratiating toward Tang Seng than before, which gave Tang Seng some headaches.
Afterward, Tang Seng seemed to have thought of something and said to Ao Lie.
"Ao Lie! Your Senior Brother's Dharma Name is Wukong, and your Junior Brother's Dharma Name is Wuneng. After thinking about it, you are the only one without a Dharma Name. How about I, your master, help you choose one?"
After Tang Seng finished speaking, Ao Lie nodded honestly.
"This Disciple will respectfully follow Master's teachings!"
Tang Seng laughed heartily.
"Ao Lie! Even though your cultivation is not high, you are able to abstain from arrogance and rashness. Compared to your Senior Brother and Junior Brother, you are more like a person of the Buddha Sect, and I, your master, am very pleased."
"Since you are not arrogant or proud, then I shall call you Ao Wuping! I hope that in the future you will continue to be calm and peaceful, and never be impatient!"
Ao Lie kowtowed and said truthfully: "Yes!"
