42: Chapter 43 The Rescue Has Been Done!

Monkey King successfully tricked them out of the two Magic Treasure items: the purple-gold red gourd and the sheep-fat jade purifying bottle. He was overjoyed.

He immediately concealed his form, mounted his Somersault Cloud, and quietly arrived above Lotus Cave. Hiding in the clouds, he scouted the activity inside the Immortal Cave.

He saw that inside and outside Lotus Cave, the minor demons were guarding strictly, with heavy security.

Within the Immortal Cave, there was constant laughter. The two kings, King Gold Horn and King Silver Horn, were sitting on stone chairs, drinking and making merry, celebrating the capture of Tang Seng and his disciples.

Tang Seng was tied to a stone pillar, dejected and continuously reciting scriptures, his heart filled with regret and despair.

Beside him, Ao Lie had his eyes tightly shut, frantically channeling his Shadow Power, remaining vigilant against the gazes of the ill-intentioned demons surrounding them.

He had long since sensed Monkey King arriving outside the cave, which eased his mind. He knew his Senior Brother would certainly not give up and would find a way to rescue them.

He only needed to wait quietly for the right moment and cooperate with his Senior Brother's actions.

As for himself, he only needed to protect Master at the critical moment, never using his Shadow Servants or exposing his identity as the Shadow Monarch.

At this thought, Ao Lie slowly exhaled a breath of stale air.

King Silver Horn raised his wine bowl, drained it in one gulp, and said to King Gold Horn with a smile:

"Brother, now that Tang Seng and his disciples have all been captured, and Monkey King is pinned under the mountain, no one can stop us anymore.

In a few days, we can cook Tang Seng, eat his flesh for immortality, and from then on roam the Three Realms freely, invincible!"

King Gold Horn smiled broadly and nodded, saying:

King Silver Horn was full of confidence, completely unaware that his Magic Treasure had already been swindled away by Monkey King.

Monkey King heard everything clearly from the clouds and sneered to himself.

"These two wicked demons are still dreaming of immortality, completely unaware that their Magic Treasure has been stolen.

Today, I will stir up your Lotus Cave, rescue my Master and Junior Brother, and turn your dreams into nothing!"

He did not rashly break into the Immortal Cave, knowing full well that King Gold Horn and King Silver Horn still possessed other Magic Treasure items like the Golden Binding Rope.

The minor demons guarding the entrance suspected nothing. They immediately agreed with a smile and turned to head into the cave.

The minor demon transformed by Monkey King successfully entered Lotus Cave. Carefully avoiding the patrolling demons, he walked straight to the place where Tang Seng, Ao Lie, and Sand Monk were being held.

When Tang Seng and Sand Monk saw the minor demon enter, they were full of anger, failing to recognize it was Monkey King in disguise.

Ao Lie, however, saw through it at a glance. Understanding the situation, he remained calm and secretly gave Monkey King a wink, signaling that he was unharmed, while simultaneously watching his surroundings vigilantly to guard against other approaching demons.

Monkey King walked up close, and taking advantage of the fact that no one was around, he instantly reverted to his true form and whispered to Tang Seng and Ao Lie:

"Master, Junior Brother, do not make a sound. Old Sun has come to save you!"

Upon seeing this, Tang Seng was both surprised and delighted, nearly crying out. Monkey King quickly signaled for him to be quiet and whispered:

"Master, there are other Magic Treasure items of the demons in this cave. We cannot force our way out."

"I will quietly untie your ropes first. You must wait for the right moment. Once I lure the demons away, you can take the chance to escape Lotus Cave and meet me behind the mountain."

Having said this, Monkey King channeled his Immortal Qi and with a light wave, untied the ropes binding Tang Seng and Ao Lie.

Ao Lie stood up, rubbed his numb wrists that had been tied, and whispered to Monkey King:

"Senior Brother, that King Silver Horn has deep cultivation, and there are many minor demons in the cave. You must be extremely careful. We will certainly wait for an opportunity to escape and will not hold you back."

Monkey King nodded and urged:

"Brother Ao Lie, I entrust Master to your care. I will lure away the two demons, King Gold Horn and King Silver Horn, in a moment."

"You must run out of the cave immediately, do not look back, and wait for me behind the mountain."

Tang Seng held Monkey King's hand, tears streaming down his face, and said guiltily:

"Wukong, it is all Master's fault for not listening to your advice, falling into the demons' trap, and implicating you all. You must take care of yourself."

"Master, do not cry. This is not your fault; it is just that the demons are too cunning."

Monkey King comforted him softly, "Wait here for a moment. I am going to lure the demons away now; you must act when the opportunity arises!"

After saying this, Monkey King transformed into the minor demon again, turned, and walked toward the center of the Immortal Cave. He deliberately caused a commotion and shouted loudly:

This shout instantly startled the two kings, King Gold Horn and King Silver Horn, inside the cave. They both jumped up, faces full of shock, and immediately grabbed their weapons, rushing toward the outside of the cave.

Seeing this, Monkey King immediately reverted to his true form, grasped his Golden Cudgel, and turned to run outside the cave, deliberately enticing the two demons to chase him.

King Gold Horn and King Silver Horn were furious when they saw this and shouted sternly:

"Monkey King! How dare you escape and break into my Lotus Cave! Today, I will surely tear you to pieces!"

Having said that, the two demons raised their weapons and, leading a group of minor demons, chased frantically after Monkey King.

Taking this opportunity, Ao Lie immediately helped Tang Seng up and whispered to him:

"Let's go! While the demons are all being lured away, let's hurry and escape Lotus Cave!"

Tang Seng nodded. Ao Lie led the way, and the two carefully avoided the remaining minor demons, taking advantage of the chaos in the cave to run quickly toward the exit of Lotus Cave.

They successfully led Tang Seng and Sand Monk out of Lotus Cave and, following Monkey King's instructions, headed toward the back of the mountain.
