Chapter 64 The Corrupted Card Master

In the Domain Gate Area, inside the entrance to the Four Seasons Weather Museum Card Domain, a surge of spiritual energy rippled as a figure stepped out.

Gu Ye scanned his surroundings, his gaze quickly sweeping over the crowd and the various Card Domain entrances. He frowned slightly, muttering to himself in confusion, "Where is Bu Yao?"

Just as he was searching, the Dragon family employee who had been guarding the Four Seasons Weather Museum hurried over. He bowed slightly, performing a standard ninety-degree bow, his expression both fawning and respectful: "Young Master, has your trial ended?"

Gu Ye looked elsewhere, continuing to search for Bu Yao, and replied casually.

"Mm."

The employee paused, took a deep breath, and said carefully, "Young Master... you should know the rules of the Domain Gate Area, right?"

After speaking, he lifted his head slightly and cast a quick glance at Gu Ye from the corner of his eye. Fine beads of cold sweat broke out on his forehead, terrified that his tone might be improper, offending this member of a Noble Families and bringing disaster upon himself.

Hearing this, Gu Ye retracted his gaze, the corners of his mouth curling up as he looked at the employee, thinking, "Admirable courage."

The employee felt his skin crawl under that gaze, his shirt soaked through with cold sweat, his heart in his throat. Only when he heard Gu Ye's reply did he heave a sigh of relief.

"I know. This is all the card-making materials I obtained within your Card Domain."

With that, Gu Ye took the only piece of card-making material he had kept from his pocket and handed it to the employee.

"The drop rate in your Dragon family's Card Domain is really low!"

Hearing this, the employee gave an awkward smile and tremblingly took the card from Gu Ye's hand—a white-quality card.

Seeing that Gu Ye had only obtained this one card, the employee returned it to him. Although the Card Domain regulations required a 80% extraction rate, Gu Ye only had one card; it wasn't possible to split it into ten pieces.

Thus, the employee took the initiative to return the card to him; after all, it was just a white card, and he still had the authority to do that.

Seeing this, Gu Ye took the card back. "Start the Corruption Value check!"

Hearing this, the employee's expression brightened. He called others over to Gu Ye to conduct various tests.

"20 Corruption Value!"

Seeing this, the employee said carefully, "Young Master, your Corruption Value is 20!"

Gu Ye heard this, said nothing, and walked away.

"Young Master, take care!"

Gu Ye walked through the Domain Gate Area. The area was enormous, the size of a hundred normal football fields; trying to find a Little Loli like Bu Yao was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Just as Gu Ye was about to call out Bu Yao's name, a commotion suddenly broke out not far away, mixed with arrogant laughter and painful groans: "Haha, beat him to death."

"Telling you, kid, you don't know the immensity of heaven and earth. How dare you steal my, Zhu Lize's, things! Beat him to death."

Gu Ye turned to look at the scene of the farce, where a group of people was gathering to watch.

A boy was being held on the ground by a group of burly men, being kicked and punched. In front of the boy was Zhu Lize, wearing a high-grade combat suit, laughing wildly like a minor villain from a novel.

The beaten boy was covered in blood, his breathing gradually weakening. None of the onlookers dared to reach out to help.

Everyone was afraid of offending this Noble Families member and bringing disaster upon themselves.

"Stop!"

At this moment, a sharp, defiant voice, with a soft, sweet loli-like finish, suddenly exploded.

The burly men hitting the boy stopped involuntarily. Gu Ye looked in the direction of the sound and saw the Little Loli, Bu Yao. He thought to himself, "Oh no."

Gu Ye wasn't worried about Bu Yao; rather, he cast a look of sympathy toward Zhu Lize. The Little Loli was a Gold-rank Card Master; Zhu Lize wouldn't just die, he'd be crippled.

Zhu Lize also saw Bu Yao. Seeing such a beautiful Little Loli, his eyes revealed greed and lust.

A violent emotion rose in his heart; he wanted to pin her down, abuse her fiercely, and leave his footprints on her tender, little face.

Making her cry, cry heart-wrenchingly, would surely be satisfying.

"Little sister, why are you all alone?" Zhu Lize searched the crowd with his eyes, and seeing no one who looked like her guardian, he stared greedily at Bu Yao.

The crowd also looked at Bu Yao with pity.

"Whose little girl is that? Why would she suddenly jump out?"

"Yeah, such a beautiful little girl, she's going to fall into his clutches today."

...

Gu Ye listened to their words with amusement. It was normal for those who didn't know to think that way; who would guess that such a Little Loli, looking only about ten years old, was actually a Gold-rank Card Master?

"Let him go!" Bu Yao said, hands on her hips, ordering them.

"Let him go?"

Zhu Lize strolled toward Bu Yao, his lust clouding his mind. "Sure, but you'll have to be the one to trade places."

Zhu Lize took a large step forward, wanting to grab Bu Yao's hand.

Bang!

An explosion sounded. Zhu Lize stopped and looked suspiciously at the source of the sound.

It came from the spot where the boy had been beaten. A pitch-black figure appeared on the spot, while the burly men who had been beating him were already torn apart, scattered randomly around the figure.

Intestines, blood, and undigested food debris were splattered everywhere.

"It's a Corrupted Being, run!"

The crowd scattered and fled, screaming and roaring, terrified that if they were too slow, they would be killed by the Corrupted Being.

The sudden turn of events left Bu Yao, who had been thinking about which of Zhu Lize's legs to break, looking completely bewildered.

"Let's go!" Gu Ye suddenly appeared beside her, grabbed her hand, and ran toward the outside.

At this moment, the Corrupted Being just stood there quietly, watching the panicked crowd, but its gaze remained fixed on Zhu Lize.

Zhu Lize was preparing to flee. This was a Corrupted Being; no matter what kind of Card Master it was, once corrupted, their strength would skyrocket.

The boy had originally been at Bronze Rank Seven strength, but after becoming corrupted, he had leaped directly to the Silver rank.

Seeing Zhu Lize trying to run, the Corrupted Being pushed off the ground and charged at him. The ground instantly cracked, with fissures spreading in all directions like a spiderweb.

As Zhu Lize ran, he felt a chill on his neck, and his feet left the ground.

He turned his head stiffly, seeing that pitch-black face, and could still vaguely make out the boy's original appearance.

He immediately started crying in terror. "Big brother, I didn't mean to hit you. Who told you to steal the thing I had my eye on?"

The Corrupted Being seemed to retain some sanity; hearing this, it flew into a rage, its claws grabbing Zhu Lize, and it involuntarily applied more force.

Zhu Lize felt the suffocating sensation of death, and streams of yellow liquid began to flow from beneath his expensive combat suit.

He had peed himself in fear. Seeing this, a trace of disdain appeared in the Corrupted Being's deep green pupils.

Perhaps because the Corrupted Being saw a large group of guards rushing toward them, it stretched out its other hand, grabbed Zhu Lize's feet, and with both hands, tore him directly in half. Intestines and kidneys fell to the ground.

The Corrupted Being disdainfully wiped the blood from its hands onto its already tattered clothes. It scanned its surroundings, found a less populated area, leaped, and fled the Card Domain area.
