61: Duoying Ancient Method

Zuoqiu.

It was named because the hill was to the left of the small village.

Now, it has become a gathering place for the Genius Disciples of the Long Family's Ao Generation.

At this moment, in the Cultivation Immortal Cave beneath Zuoqiu, Long Aotian entered the most beautiful Cultivation room that Meilan Zhuju had reserved for him. After setting up safety and defensive measures, he appeared in the third-level world of the Treasure Pagoda with a thought.

To go into seclusion and Breakthrough to the Nascent Soul Realm, it was naturally more time-efficient to enter the third-level space world.

Breaking through to the Golden Core Realm was a major hurdle, and breaking through to the Nascent Soul Realm was also a major hurdle. When Long Aotian broke through to the Purple Core Realm, he spent several months condensing the sea into a core. Now, breaking through to the Nascent Soul Realm would definitely take longer than breaking through to the Purple Core Realm, not shorter.

Long Aotian predicted it would take at least a year.

The truth was, he Cultivated all twelve attribute Spiritual Roots. While his power was immense, the time it took him to Breakthrough major hurdles always made him incredibly frustrated.

Fortunately, he had the Treasure Pagoda.

With a time flow rate of one to nine, two months outside meant one year and six months inside. Long Aotian believed that this much time would be more than enough for him to Breakthrough to the Nascent Soul Realm.

Before Cultivating, Long Aotian first checked on the Chaos Beast Egg and the seeds of the Chaos Green Lotus. After finding no changes, he began his Cultivation.

“Breaking through to the Transformation Sea Realm involves the Spirit Spring transforming into a sea. Breaking through to the Golden Core Realm involves condensing the sea into a core. Breaking through to the Nascent Soul Realm involves the Purple Mansion forming a Nascent Soul, also known as the Golden Core transforming into a Nascent Soul.

That is:

The Golden Core continuously purifies and diverts attribute power, eventually leaving only the attribute power of the main Cultivated Spiritual Root, which then hatches into a Nascent Soul.

In this process, the fewer Spiritual Roots, the easier it is to form a Nascent Soul, especially for pure Spiritual Roots, where purifying and diverting attribute power will not cause confusion or turmoil due to different Spiritual Power attributes.”

Long Aotian thought to himself.

With Ao Zhan’s Legacy memory, he was naturally very familiar with this process.

In addition, Long Aotian also found another method of forming a Nascent Soul in Ao Zhan’s memory.

The method of forming a Nascent Soul on the Sky Ruins Continent has always been to purify the main Cultivation and divert the non-Cultivation. Other attribute Spiritual Roots are discarded once in the Spirit Spring Realm, and again when forming the Nascent Soul. Only one Nascent Soul is formed.

This is the One-Nascent Soul method.

However, Long Aotian found an ancient method for multiple Nascent Souls in Ao Zhan’s memory.

This ancient method for multiple Nascent Souls was created by the Five Elements Supreme, a multiple-Spiritual Root Cultivator, when he formed his Nascent Soul.

That is:

While the Golden Core continuously purifies and diverts other attribute powers, these other attribute powers are not discarded. Instead, they form multiple Nascent Soul fetuses that are continuously purified simultaneously, eventually hatching into multiple Nascent Souls.

When the Five Elements Supreme formed his Nascent Soul, he simultaneously formed five Nascent Souls, making his strength unrivaled within the same Realm.

“I Cultivate all twelve attribute Spiritual Roots. If I use the Five Elements Supreme’s ancient method for multiple Nascent Souls, wouldn’t I form twelve Nascent Souls? What would it feel like to have twelve babies at once?”

At this moment, Long Aotian faced a difficult choice.

Should he use the One-Nascent Soul method or the ancient method for multiple Nascent Souls to form his Nascent Soul?

He was a bit indecisive.

“The One-Nascent Soul method is most suitable for those with pure Spiritual Roots. Other Cultivators with mixed Spiritual Roots, especially those with multiple main Cultivation Spiritual Roots, who use the One-Nascent Soul method to form a Nascent Soul, will more or less damage their Martial Dao Foundation.

The best method is the one most beneficial to oneself. Although the ancient method for multiple Nascent Souls is several times more difficult than the One-Nascent Soul method, it is the most suitable for a Cultivator like me, who Cultivates all multiple attribute Spiritual Roots, to form a Nascent Soul.”

Gritting his teeth, Long Aotian finally decided to choose the Five Elements Supreme’s ancient method for multiple Nascent Souls.

If a Cultivator like him, who Cultivated all twelve attribute Spiritual Roots, used the One-Nascent Soul method to form a Nascent Soul, wouldn't he be making a joke of himself?

The ancient method for multiple Nascent Souls was undoubtedly the most suitable for him.

At least, it wouldn't harm his Martial Dao Foundation.

What Long Aotian found somewhat difficult to accept was the thought of having twelve babies at once, which made his scalp tingle.

“My children, your dad is going all out for you!”

To form a Nascent Soul, the Golden Core eventually transforms in the Purple Mansion into a fist-sized, baby-shaped prototype that resembles oneself.

Long Aotian compared forming a Nascent Soul to a hen hatching eggs, hatching chicks. It wasn't an exaggeration, but for him, a male, to hatch eggs like a hen, it felt a bit awkward psychologically. This was also one reason why people liked to call powerful Nascent Soul Realm Cultivators ‘Old Monsters’.

Wouldn't a male Cultivator hatching eggs like a hen be considered strange?

Wouldn't a female Cultivator, unconcerned with the Mortal World, hatching eggs like a hen be considered strange?

But there was no way around it; this was a process all Cultivators had to go through, unless you never formed a Nascent Soul and stopped at the Ninth Revolution Peak Stage of the Golden Core Realm.

But it was clear that once one embarked on the Martial Dao Immortal path, no one wanted to not become stronger. They could only grit their teeth and pass through this major Realm that made them feel particularly awkward.

In the Treasure Pagoda’s third-level space world, after Long Aotian decided to use the ancient method for multiple Nascent Souls to Breakthrough to the Nascent Soul Realm, he began to circulate the Chaos Dao Art, continuously absorbing Spirit Stones, refining and purifying them. Then, he controlled the Purple Core to begin diverting twelve different attribute powers, causing one Purple Core to eventually transform into twelve Purple Cores with different attribute powers.

This process was very slow, and fortunately, Long Aotian’s Chaos Dao Art was powerful enough, plus he was Cultivating in the Treasure Pagoda’s third-level space world. As a result, Long Aotian only spent five months in the Treasure Pagoda’s third-level space world to finally divert the twelve Purple Cores with twelve different attribute powers from his twelve attribute Spiritual Roots.

At this time, the Purple Core formed by the twelve attribute powers was divided into twelve Purple Cores with different attribute powers. These twelve Purple Cores in Long Aotian’s Purple Mansion could no longer be called Purple Cores; they were Nascent Soul fetuses!

This also signified that the first step of Long Aotian's Nascent Soul formation, the diversion, was complete.

Next was the purification and transformation into a Nascent Soul, just like a hen hatching chicks from eggs, hatching the Nascent Soul.

Long Aotian needed to form twelve Nascent Souls, and the Cultivation resources required were an incredibly terrifying amount. Just for the five months of diversion and replenishment, Long Aotian consumed a full one hundred thousand Top-Grade Spirit Stones, not to mention the subsequent hatching, which would require even more Cultivation resources.

It is worth mentioning that during this period, Long Aotian was still multi-tasking, learning Void Formation.

It would take a considerable amount of time to Breakthrough to a Level 7 Void Formation. If he could become a Level 7 Void Formation Master, then killing Spirit Division Realm powerhouses would be like slaughtering dogs. Even against Mahayana Realm powerhouses, he could use the Level 7 Void Maelstrom Array to contend with them.

Just as he used the Level 6 Void Maelstrom Array to contend with Spirit Division Realm powerhouses, he ended up eliminating six Ancestors of the Distraction Realm from the Shi family by using a stacked Void Maelstrom Array.

This was no longer just contending; it was true entrapment and killing. As Long Aotian delved deeper into the study of Void Formation, he became more and more adept and comfortable in dealing with powerful opponents.

After he emerged from seclusion, he would travel alone to the Imperial City.

That place was surely full of various dangers.

If he could raise his Void Formation to Level 7, then he would be much more composed when facing the Mahayana Realm powerhouses of the Shi family.

Of course, Long Aotian also knew that it would be impossible to raise his Void Formation to Level 7 within two months outside, while in the Treasure Pagoda’s third-level space world, unless he had two more months, it would be almost impossible.

He possessed the Chaos Dao Body and Cultivated the Chaos Dao Art. While learning Void Formation came naturally to him, as Void Formation advanced to higher levels, he had to dedicate more time to research it.

Overall, he still faced no Bottlenecks in improving his Void Formation; he just needed to invest time in learning, requiring some study time, that's all...
