The next day, 1:00 PM.

Jiang Wan woke up in a daze. Looking at the unfamiliar surroundings, she couldn't quite remember where she was.

Yesterday, she had kindly escorted Lu Zhengyang back to his room, only to be completely devoured by him!

"Xiao Lingdang, what happened to you yesterday? Why couldn't I reach you?"

"And another thing! Your plot info is wrong! Didn't you say Lu Zhengyang stays away from women? Then what was yesterday about? There's something wrong with your data!"

He clearly wouldn't let go of her—you call that staying away from women?

"He went on a business trip and should be on a plane now."

It was time to get up and eat something.

"Oh! Grandmother Li, why is it you? Where's my grandma?"

Grandmother Li was Jiang Wan's neighbor.

Grandmother Li let out an exclamation on the other end.

"Your grandma! She's getting an injection! This morning, while she was going down the stairs, she accidentally fell. Luckily there were only a few steps, but she sprained her ankle and it's swollen like anything. They just finished setting the bone, and now she's on an IV for the inflammation!"

Hearing that her grandmother's foot was injured, Jiang Wan grew anxious.

"Is my grandma okay then?"

"She's fine now, but she can't move one foot for the time being and needs to recover properly. Oh my, let me tell you, it was so dangerous! Jiang Wan thanked her again. After hanging up, she quickly went online to book a ticket.

Taking advantage of the time, Jiang Wan didn't even bother to eat a proper meal. She bought two pieces of bread and rushed back to her room to check out first; fortunately, she wasn't over the time limit.

Then, she hurried to the nearest bank to cash the check, lest it be difficult to handle once she was back home. After finishing all this, Jiang Wan took a taxi to the high-speed rail station.
