232: You were so engrossed in watching it.

If it weren't for the excessive necessary social engagements in Ancheng after the College Entrance Examination, Lin You definitely would have come to Nandu University's Library in June to grind tasks.

In that case, wouldn't the first task—reading through the mathematics textbooks—be able to proceed simultaneously with the task of studying in the Library?

Fortunately, Lin You didn't need to worry. He still had tasks like [Read 200 Professional Mathematics Documents], so he definitely wouldn't be idle while studying at the Library.

At five o'clock in the afternoon, even though it was summer vacation, students were still constantly moving in and out of the Library. Lin You looked at the scene before him, feeling both unfamiliar and familiar.

Unfamiliar because he had rarely entered a Library since childhood, and familiar because... the sight of the senior students studying diligently in this Library was exactly like playing the king of cramming game with his Classmates during grade 12.

Lin You wandered for a while before arriving at the collection point for physical mathematics journals, and then sent a message to Tang Zhenyi informing her of his location.

Lin You found the latest issue of *Acta Mathematica Sinica*, a professional academic journal sponsored by the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Chinese Mathematical Society.

Over the past six months, Lin You had devoured many mathematics textbooks, and with the help of the system, his foundation was extremely solid, only then did he "dare" to look through professional mathematics journals.

He opened the first paper—"Wave Front Solutions of Nonlocal Diffusion Equations with Discrete State-Dependent Delays." This paper mainly studied the Theory of Functional Differential Equations. Lin You already had some foundation, so while it was challenging, he could just about follow along.

Time passed minute by minute. Lin You was engrossed; it had been a long time since he had experienced knowledge entering his brain but not being immediately absorbed.

A long time passed. Students around him gradually left the reading room, but Lin You's attention remained entirely focused on the *Acta Mathematica Sinica* in his hands.

After an unknown amount of time, Lin You finally finished one article. He looked up from the journal, satisfied, and only then realized that most people had left the reading room, but someone had sat down in the seat next to him.

"Senior Sister, when did you arrive?"

Tang Zhenyi was utterly shocked. She stared at Lin You with wide eyes. "You can already understand this?"

Lin You scratched his head and gave a simple smile. "Senior Sister, to be honest, I'm just joining in the fun. I only half-understand it. I've only finished the university textbooks and haven't delved deeply into any specific direction yet, so my knowledge level is still limited."

Tang Zhenyi sighed in relief. She had long known from Professor Zheng that Lin You's learning ability far surpassed hers, but she couldn't immediately accept that he had progressed enough to study the results of the latest mathematics journal research.

"Then why were you reading so intently?"

"I only knew what I lacked after reading it. I noted down the missing knowledge points, and later I'll specifically look for relevant textbooks to study. That way, the next time I read it, won't I be able to understand it?"

Lin You wore a bright, sunny smile and an expression of course, which stunned Tang Zhenyi.

Sure enough, sincerity is the ultimate trump card.

Tang Zhenyi instantly felt ashamed of her previous thoughts.

Five minutes later, the two left the Library, and Lin You once again rode on Tang Zhenyi's little pink.

There was no rush to study. He had already arrived at Nandu University, and Lin You had plenty of time to learn later.

Gulou Campus is located in a relatively central area of Nandu City, with developed transportation links, various delicious snacks and places to visit, making life very convenient.

As they rode out of the campus, Tang Zhenyi introduced Lin You to the traffic layout outside the school and some landmark buildings while cycling.

Five minutes later, the two arrived at a local Nandu City restaurant.

After they entered, Tang Zhenyi skillfully began ordering, clearly a regular customer here.

Salted duck, Squirrel Fish, Stewed Sheng Qiao, Clear Braised Chicken Fu, Duck Blood Vermicelli Soup, Beef Potstickers, Stir-fried Bok Choy... When Lin You quickly protested that she had ordered too much, Tang Zhenyi explained that two more people were coming.

After ordering and sitting down, Tang Zhenyi began telling Lin You about the things to note while living at Gulou Campus. As for studying... Tang Zhenyi knew Lin You had already completed the university curriculum. As long as he passed Professor Zheng's in-person assessment tomorrow, although he couldn't graduate immediately, he wouldn't be treated the same as a regular freshman.

She probably didn't have much advice to give him... Ten minutes later, a man and a woman entered the doorway, and Tang Zhenyi stood up and waved to them.

"This is Lin You, my junior apprentice brother. This is Chen Shao, a second-year student in the Mathematics Department. And this is Zou Qingtong, a third-year student in the Mathematics Department."

"This must be Senior Sister Tang's province's Science top scholar this year, right? Lin You, I've heard a lot about you!" Chen Shao was clearly a very lively person, approaching Lin You with a beaming smile and shaking his hand.

Although Zou Qingtong's name sounded like "Bronze Player," she appeared very intellectual and reliable.

"Hello, Lin You. If you have any problems in the department later on, you can contact me anytime."

Both of them were students who "got along well" in the Mathematics Department. The term "got along well" here is not derogatory but refers to them being social butterflies within the Mathematics Department Undergraduate Student circle; they were both members of the Student Union.

University students also have social lives and circles. Although Professor Zheng could ensure Lin You had smooth sailing at the school level, in the Undergraduate Student circles, Chen Shao and Zou Qingtong were more directly helpful.

The meal that followed was thoroughly enjoyable for everyone. Afterward, Lin You and the two exchanged contact information. They had been called by Tang Zhenyi before the start of the semester because they had related student work, which was why they arrived at school early.

After leaving the restaurant, Lin You once again rode on Tang Zhenyi's little pink.

"Junior Apprentice Brother, Chen Shao and Zou Qingtong are both students who have worked under me, and we have a good relationship. They will definitely show me respect. I sometimes travel with my advisor and won't always be on campus. When I'm not at school, you can always contact them if you need anything."

Lin You was genuinely touched by this. He believed that while Tang Zhenyi's initial enthusiasm was certainly due to Professor Zheng, being this thoughtful meant she truly regarded him as her junior apprentice brother.

"Senior Sister, if there's ever anything you need me for in the future, just say the word! Your junior apprentice brother will follow your lead!"

...Returning to the ground floor of the residential community, Lin You parted ways with Tang Zhenyi, went upstairs, turned on the air conditioning, and started vegging out.

After resting for a while, Lin You called Wang Xiaoyi via video chat.

"Hello, hello, Xiao Yi, Xiao Yi~"

"You You, you finally have time for me..."

On the other end of the video, Wang Xiaoyi was inside the Lin Meimei Milk Tea Shop, which had been renovated and was rushing to open before the start of the semester.

Her expression was a little resentful. She had been busy when Lin You posted on Moments that morning and only saw it during her lunch break, realizing then that Lin You had quietly bought a ticket and departed for Nandu City without telling her in advance.

When she messaged Lin You at noon, she only received a simple reply saying he would contact her once he was done with his tasks.

But she had already checked: when the video call connected just now, exactly 7 hours and 43 minutes had passed since his last WeChat message!

"Oh, come on, I just arrived, I'm unfamiliar with the place, I only reported to Professor Zheng this afternoon, and I was just having dinner with my Senior Apprentice Brother and Senior Apprentice Sister. I only finished up just now, so as soon as I had time, I contacted you."

"So are you coming to see me tomorrow? I haven't seen you for a whole month..."

Hiss... How did she learn to act cute?!

Xiao Yi, who taught you such bad habits!

So cute~
