Chapter 138: It’s all your fault! JUST DIE!

Hearing that Veyra was going to get punished was like music to my ears. I couldn’t help but feel delight.It was the first time and it sure felt good.

I looked down at her, her gnashing teeth and eyes widened in rage.

How did it feel to be the one finally backed into a corner? How did it feel to have the entire tribe look at you with the eyes of an enemy?

I bet she will never recover from this. In fact, I don’t want her to recover from this. Suffer, be traumatized, be ostracized, be hated... I want Veyra to live a life that was worse than Arinya’s.

But I know it won’t go that far. In due time, after I’m gone, she will win them over with her act and then they will treat her as a queen again, even justifying why she went as far as setting up her sister and her mates to be ruined.

"Argghhhhh!" She yelled as she lunged at me like a wild beast, throwing her body at mine and then tackling me down to the dirt.

It took me by surprise so I couldn’t respond on time, but more than that, her strength felt like that of a bull.

Has she been acting weak this whole time while hiding this kind of strength? I couldn’t... I couldn’t push her away.

"It’s YOU! It’s all your fault!" She screamed, her voice straining as she scratched my face, pulling at my hair, and engaging in a car fight despite the amount of strength she had. "JUST DIE! DIE!"

"Arinya!" Fenric called out in panic.

I was at a disadvantage. If I weren’t careful, she would poke her fingers into my eyes and I’d lose my vision.

Because of the kind of strength she had, and the advantage she had on top of me, I couldn’t get away and my face was her scratched... I got angry.

She was so messed up, Veyra. If she was going to get revenge, did she really have to aim for my face? It made me think she was trying her hardest to ruin my face because she was jealous.

"Just die!" She claimed and was about to aim for my neck, but I shielded it with my arms.

She scratched my arms and it bled, stinging with every second that passed.

But then, as she was about to strike again, Damar used his tail to whip her off me. She flew towards a tree, her body rolling over the floor like a doll, and then hit the tree.

Her face was messed up from the impact, and mine was much better in comparison.

"What are you all standing there for?" Fenric asked as he reached for me, helping me up. "Restrain the criminal!"

The tribesmen were hesitant, still sending Veyra in a somewhat good light despite what she had just done, but then Fenric let out a taunting roar which released pressure upon them and caused them to stumble to their knees.

At this time, they were once again reminded that he was a beast warrior and that he had enough command to carry out punishment according to how he saw fit.

His red eyes raged as he left me to Damar and stood before everyone.

"Are you okay?" Damar asked and I nodded, trying to catch my breath. I looked at Fenric’s back.

It looked heavy. His muscles tensed, and the aura steaming from his skin seemed so dangerous that no one could go near.

He was angry. More than that, he was furious.

He had stood at the side up until now because I was fine, but for Veyra to lay her hands on me, that was crossing the line. And nothing was going to soothe his anger more than taking her head.

I gulped, wondering if this would finally be the end of Veyra. Of course, I don’t plan to stop it.

I believe uprooting the root of evil troubles was better than leaving it be. I just had no justification for killing her so far, but now... Fenric had stepped up.

"Don’t blame me for carrying out judgment," he said and took a step. That one step was so heavy that it shook the ground under his feet and increased the pressure on the common folks.

He was about to take another when Kaelor stepped forward, spreading his arms wide to stop him and taking in the pressure.

He could barely stay standing, especially since Fenric directed the pressure to him.

But Kaelor wasn’t ordinary either. He was training to become a beast warrior, so if he couldn’t handle this much, then he was far from ready to take on the title.

"Step aside," Fenric said, frosty air seeping out of his mouth.

"I’m sorry, but I can’t do that." He said, shutting his eyes as he tried hard to endure.

"Should I remind you that I was one of the folks who almost got swept into her scheme?" Fenric asked and Kaelor looked back, biting his lip.

He knew.

And nothing could justify framing a beast warrior, but... He just couldn’t let him kill Veyra.

He looked forward and then at me.

Guilt ripped at his face lines, and he faltered.

He had so many things to make up for. But even then,

"I’m sorry, I cannot allow it." He said. "Though Veyra is malicious and scheming... She is still my sister. So please... Show mercy."
