358: The flawed jade is the king (ninety-seven).

Wang Yun recognized the stunning woman who had just saved him.

The Hundred Flower Maiden.

The last Bloodline of the Grass and Wood lineage.

He was greatly shocked, his mind suddenly filled with questions.

How could she be here?

Before Wang Yun could ask, the giant gray hand that had just missed its mark came whistling toward them again.

This time, its target wasn't just Wang Yun; it included the Hundred Flower Maiden as well.

A powerful force of imprisonment instantly enveloped the two of them.

The Hundred Flower Maiden's brow furrowed slightly, yet she remained very calm.

Her hands quickly formed hand seals in front of her, mysterious runes flickering at her fingertips before finally converging into a jade-green divine seal.

"A Leaf Blocking the Sight."

Her voice was cold and clear.

A tender green leaf, only the size of a fist but intensely vibrant, emerged from her palm.

A majestic aura of life exploded outward, centered on the tender leaf.

Growing as it met the wind, the tender leaf expanded instantly, transforming into a massive jade-green light screen that completely enveloped her and Wang Yun.

Outside the light screen, the giant gray hand slammed down with a thunderous boom.

However, the light screen, which appeared paper-thin and fragile, was exceptionally resilient; no matter how the giant hand struck it, only ripples spread across its surface, and it remained unshaken.

Inside the light screen, the space around them began to twist and fold violently.

Wang Yun felt the world spinning, as if he were inside a tumbling scroll.

In an instant, the green light dissipated, and they had already vanished from the spot.

When Wang Yun regained his footing, he found himself in a relatively stable spatial interlayer.

It seemed to be behind some kind of naturally formed barrier, temporarily isolated from the terrifying probes and attacks of the outside world.

Wang Yun immediately looked at the Hundred Flower Maiden beside him, his eyes still wary.

He could clearly sense a majestic and pure dao rhyme of life surrounding the Hundred Flower Maiden.

Within his Divine Thought's perception, seven perfect Great Dao lotuses, flowing with endless vitality, were quietly blooming inside her body, their aura profound.

The Seven Lotus Great Sage.

Wang Yun was shocked once again.

He hadn't expected that this last descendant of the Grass and Wood lineage had also stepped into the Great Sage realm, and with such a solid Foundation and pure dao rhyme, far surpassing an ordinary Seven Lotus Great Sage.

"Why are you here?"

Wang Yun spoke first, his voice heavy with gravity. "And that terrifying remains—what exactly is it?"

The Hundred Flower Maiden's gaze pierced through layers of space toward the depths of this gray void, a rare trace of apprehension in her clear eyes.

"I came seeking the lost Supreme Legacy of the Grass and Wood Clan."

She spoke in a cold, clear voice, beginning to explain the sequence of events.

It turned out that although the Grass and Wood lineage had withered, many legacies remained; over the years, the Hundred Flower Maiden had been searching for these various Grass and Wood legacies.

This time, she discovered an item of Supreme Legacy within the Grass and Wood Clan that was sufficient to suppress the clan's Luck.

It had been lost for endless ages, leaving only an extremely faint resonance in the depths of the Sea of Consciousness of descendants with the purest Bloodlines.

Relying on this faint resonance within her Bloodline, the Hundred Flower Maiden had tracked it all the way, crossing countless Star Domains, and finally arrived near the Boundary Sea.

"I followed the resonance into this place, thinking I would soon find the location of the Legacy."

"But I found that the Legacy is trapped inside an exceptionally massive monster."

"A monster?"

Wang Yun pressed.

"It's the remains you saw."

The Hundred Flower Maiden's voice grew low, as if recalling the shock and despair she felt when she first saw those remains.

"My clan's Legacy was taken as a trophy and imprisoned within its body, being eroded and refined day and night by an eerie pupil power."

"Based on the ancient secrets passed down through my clan and a trace of Emperor Dao Law remaining on the remains, I finally identified it as the remains of a 'Self-Severed Great Emperor'."

A Self-Severed Great Emperor.

A Great Emperor is one chosen by Mandate, a Supreme existence who reigns over an era and is invincible across the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands.

Their will is the Law of Heaven and Earth.

What did "Self-Severed" mean?

"That Great Emperor has long since perished, his Dao dissipated and his Divine Soul extinguished."

The Hundred Flower Maiden continued, revealing a secret capable of overturning the cultivation world's understanding.

"But his remains are being controlled by a Supreme Divine Ability, forcibly maintained in this half-dead state."

"It instinctively devours all nearby living beings and treasures, turning their Origin, Laws, and even Divine Souls into nourishment for its own resurrection."

"Resurrection?"

Wang Yun found it hard to imagine that a deceased Great Emperor could still be resurrected.

This completely violated the fundamental principles of the Heavenly Dao's operation.

"Yes, resurrection."

The Hundred Flower Maiden nodded, but her expression grew even more solemn. "However, this resurrection comes at a price; it is a cursed immortality."

"Once revived by this method, that Great Emperor will never again receive the recognition of the Mandate. He will be abandoned by the Great Dao, trapped at the Supreme level for the rest of his life with no possibility of further progress."

Wang Yun felt a chill in his heart. Resurrecting a deceased Great Emperor...

"Who has such a grand design?"

Wang Yun asked the most critical question.

The Hundred Flower Maiden fell silent for a moment, as if weighing her words or recalling a name that even she found terrifying.

Finally, she spoke an unfamiliar name.

"The Cang Clan."

"They come from 'Cangtian,' one of the Nine Heavens, and are the undisputed overlords of that celestial domain."

Her voice carried deep reverence.

"That is a clan that truly possesses a Legacy of three emperors from a single lineage."

She paused and said each word deliberately.

Boom!

A single clan had actually given birth to three Great Emperors who had attained the Dao.

What kind of terrifying Foundation was that?

While the Hundred Flower Maiden was recounting these secrets, a growing throbbing suddenly came from deep within Wang Yun's body.

That throbbing originated from the supreme ancient seal that he had long since completely fused with, making it a part of himself.

An extremely faint yet incredibly clear sense of resonance came from a certain direction within this gray space.

It was as if something was echoing his internal supreme ancient seal, calling out to it.

Wang Yun's mind stirred.

He immediately informed the Hundred Flower Maiden of this discovery.

"My Supreme Body has resonated with something here."

"This resonance originates from an ownerless Emperor Seal that I fused with back then."

Hearing this, the Hundred Flower Maiden's eyes lit up.

"Can you determine the direction?"

She immediately asked.

Wang Yun closed his eyes and concentrated, carefully sensing the source of that resonance.

His Supreme Bone began to glow, and his Holy Blood also reacted.

That pull from the depths of his Soul became increasingly clear.

A moment later, he opened his eyes and pointed in a certain direction.

"Over there."

"It's very deep; that is the core of this space."

The two no longer hesitated and decided to join forces to explore the source of that resonance.

"Keep close to me."

The Hundred Flower Maiden cautioned him, once again activating her Grass and Wood Divine Ability.

Countless jade-green vines spread out from beneath her feet, carving out a relatively safe path through the chaotic spatial turbulence.

Wang Yun followed closely behind, constantly guiding her in the right direction.

The two carefully traversed layer after layer of spatial faults.

The deeper they went, the stronger the resonance from the supreme ancient seal became.

Simultaneously, the surrounding pressure became increasingly terrifying, and the giant gray hands of pupil power responsible for imprisoning the divine objects became more numerous and powerful.

Several times, they were nearly discovered, narrowly avoiding detection only thanks to the Hundred Flower Maiden's mysterious Grass and Wood Escape Technique.

Finally, after traveling for an unknown amount of time, they reached the core area of the massive remains.

It was a void zone shrouded in Chaos Qi.

This was the center of the entire Great Emperor's remains and the source of all its power.

In the center of this void, a pair of "Double Pupils" composed of the purest Chaos Origin was slowly condensing and coming into being.

It was still only a blurry prototype, yet it already emitted a terrifying pressure that made their hearts tremble.

Around those Chaos Double Pupils floated nine Supreme treasures radiating an ancient and terrifying aura.

Each one seemed to be the ultimate creation of some era; the dao rhyme and pressure flowing upon them even far surpassed any extreme dao saint weapon Wang Yun had ever seen.

Wang Yun even felt a trace of an aura from the same source as his internal supreme ancient seal on one of the Supreme treasures.

The Hundred Flower Maiden's gaze was fixed intently on one of them: an ancient seal, entirely jade-green, as if condensed from the ancestral vein of life.

The Supreme Legacy of the Grass and Wood Clan.

Without a doubt, these nine Supreme treasures were the true objects suppressing the resurrection of the Double-Pupil Great Emperor.
