179: Chapter 179 The Three Soldiers Recognize Their Master, Shaking the Battlefield

As Lin Fan walked toward the three divine weapons, countless gazes from the surroundings fixed upon him.

Some recognized him and their expressions shifted slightly; some were reckless, greed flashing in their eyes; more were gloating—those three divine weapons were among the strongest in the Battle Realm, and many factions had their eyes on them.

"Who is that kid? He dares to challenge three top-tier divine weapons at the same time?"

"Lin Fan, from the Human Realm. I heard he killed the Grand Elder of the Huangfu Family."

"Hmph, he doesn't know the height of the heavens. That black sword is being watched by at least five factions, and he wants to snatch it all by himself?"

Zi Linger followed behind Lin Fan, a slight smile playing on her lips as she listened to the discussions around them.

She wanted to see just how much ability this man truly possessed.

Lin Fan stopped before the first divine weapon—that pitch-black longsword.

The longsword floated within a golden light sphere; the blade was about three feet three inches long, its entire body as black as ink, with an ancient rune carved into the hilt—the character for "Annihilation."

Lin Fan raised his hand and reached into the light sphere.

The light sphere instantly erupted with a blinding black light, and a phantom figure emerged from the sword.

It was an old man in black robes with a withered face, his entire body radiating a thick Power of Annihilation. His hollow eye sockets stared at Lin Fan as he rasped:

"Latecomer, are you willing to accept the trial?"

Lin Fan nodded.

The old man raised his hand and struck out with a palm strike.

This palm strike seemed slow, yet it contained a terrifying Nirvana True Intent—wherever the palm wind passed, even space collapsed and was annihilated.

Lin Fan neither dodged nor avoided it, striking back with a palm of his own.

The gray air current collided with the black palm wind without any roar or explosion.

There was only silent erosion.

Before the gray air current, the black palm wind melted instantly, like snow meeting a scorching sun.

The old man's pupils constricted slightly: "This is Nirvana True Intent? No, it's purer than Nirvana True Intent... You have fused with Eternity?"

Lin Fan didn't answer, merely looking at him.

The old man remained silent for a moment before suddenly laughing.

"Good, good, good!" He said the word "good" three times. "I have waited thirty thousand years to finally wait for someone who truly inherits the Dao of Annihilation."

His figure began to dissipate, turning into specks of black light that merged into the nirvana sword.

The nirvana sword flew out from the light sphere and hovered in front of Lin Fan, its blade vibrating slightly as if submitting to him.

Lin Fan reached out and gripped the hilt.

Instantly, a massive amount of information flooded his mind—the sword's origins, the legacies of its past masters, and the Sword Intent it contained.

The nirvana sword—used by a powerhouse of the Dao of Annihilation in ancient times; though not quite as powerful as the sword once wielded by the Great Emperor of Annihilation, it was nearly on par.

Lin Fan sheathed the sword, his gaze falling upon the second divine weapon—the golden battle armor.

The battle armor was pale gold, its surface covered in intricate runes, emitting a heavy and warm aura—the power of eternity.

Lin Fan walked to the battle armor and similarly reached his hand into the light sphere.

This time, the phantom of a golden-armored general appeared. He was twelve feet tall, majestic and awe-inspiring, holding a golden spear with a gaze like lightning.

"To gain the acknowledgment of the nirvana sword is indeed extraordinary," the golden-armored general said. "But the Dao of Eternity is different from Annihilation. If you harbor murderous intent in your heart, you are not worthy of wearing this armor."

Lin Fan said calmly, "I kill people, and I also save people."

"Explain."

"Kill those who should be killed, save those who should be saved."

The golden-armored general stared at him for a long time before suddenly laughing loudly:

"What a 'kill those who should be killed, save those who should be saved'! I like those words!"

He retracted his spear and cupped his hands in a polite gesture: "The eternal battle armor acknowledges you as master!"

The golden battle armor flew out from the light sphere and automatically equipped itself onto Lin Fan. The armor fit his frame perfectly, its weight just right, as if it were custom-made.

Lin Fan looked down at the armor, sensing the power of eternity within it resonating and merging with the Power of Annihilation in his body.

Eternity and Annihilation truly coexisted for the first time on this set of armor.

The third divine weapon was the gray spear.

The shaft was about twelve feet long and colored with the hue of Chaos, with faint gold and black light flowing at the tip. It floated in the light sphere as if waiting for someone.

Lin Fan walked up to it, and before he could even reach out, the light sphere shattered on its own.

The gray spear flew into his hand, its shaft vibrating violently as it let out a clear, sharp spear cry.

The spear cry echoed throughout the entire Battle Realm, and everyone currently fighting stopped their movements, looking over in horror.

Within that spear cry was an indescribable pressure—the aura of Eternity and Annihilation coexisting, a power this world had never seen before.

A phantom figure emerged from the spear.

It was a middle-aged man with a refined face, dressed in green robes—it was the Emperor.

"Lin Fan," he spoke, his voice gentle. "You have finally come."

Lin Fan was stunned: "Emperor? You..."

"This is a wisp of remnant soul I left within the reincarnation spear," the Emperor said. "I used this spear when I attained the Dao, and I later left it here to wait for a fated person."

He looked at Lin Fan, a look of gratification flashing in his eyes: "You have done well. Better than I expected."

Lin Fan remained silent.

The Emperor's gaze moved past him, falling upon the dumbfounded Prodigies in the distance:

"Do all these people want to kill you?"

Lin Fan nodded.

The Emperor smiled: "Then kill them and show them."

His figure began to dissipate, his final words echoing in Lin Fan's ears: "Remember, you are the person I chose. You carry the joint expectations of myself and the Great Emperor of Annihilation."

"Do not fear, do not hesitate."

"Those who should be killed, kill them without mercy."

As his voice fell, the Emperor's remnant soul completely vanished.

Lin Fan gripped the reincarnation spear tightly and turned to face the predatory Prodigies.

He pointed the spear tip: "Who else wants to make a move?"

The entire field fell silent.

Those who had been ready to act now lowered their heads one after another, not daring to meet his gaze.

The middle-aged man from the Black Demon Abyss slumped to the ground, his face ashen.

He had just witnessed Lin Fan gain the acknowledgment of three top-tier divine weapons in succession; that overwhelming presence left him without even the courage to stand up.

Zi Linger stood to the side, her eyes shimmering.

She considered herself a top-tier Prodigy of the Ten Thousand Demon Celestial Domain and had seen countless experts. But she had never seen someone like Lin Fan before.

Three divine weapons acknowledging a master at the same time.

Eternity and Annihilation perfectly coexisting within him.

This man...

She suddenly felt a bit of regret; was her previous proposal of "cooperation" too hasty?

A person like this didn't need to cooperate with anyone at all.

"Hey." Lin Fan's voice interrupted her thoughts.

Zi Linger looked up and saw him looking at her.

"Your thunder dragon whip," Lin Fan said. "I'll help you take it."

Zi Linger was startled: "You're still willing to help me?"

Lin Fan smiled faintly: "If I promise something, I will do it."

He turned and walked toward the purple whip in the center of the plaza.

Wherever he passed, the crowd automatically parted; no one dared to block him.

Zi Linger looked at his back and suddenly smiled.

This person was quite interesting.

Far more interesting than those so-called Prodigies in the Ten Thousand Demon Celestial Domain who only knew how to curry favor.
