28: Chapter 28 The Uninvited Guest!

Ye Fan watched as the zombies left.

He stayed in place for a moment, then returned the way he came.

Ji Yuyan was still near the school! Ye Fan had to go back to pick her up before he could head home.

He did not move fast, maintaining a long distance from the group of rapidly returning zombies to prevent them from chasing him again.

"Could it be that this group of zombies has its own king? And not just one? And the one I just killed was one of their kings?"

Ye Fan followed carefully behind the zombie horde, rubbing his chin as he muttered to himself.

"Hmm, it seems that must be the case! But these zombies are growing way too fast! In just a few short days, such powerful zombies have already appeared."

"And damn it, these high-level zombies are extremely smart; they feel no different from ordinary people. This is really tricky!"

"Sigh! It looks like Jiangcheng City is going to suffer." Ye Fan suddenly sighed and continued.

"It seems there shouldn't be a single surviving student left in the dorms at Jiangcheng University now! How pitiful!"

Ye Fan looked helpless, a trace of sympathy for his fellow students at Jiangcheng University appearing in his eyes.

But even so, there was nothing he could do.

If he hadn't been renting a place outside, he would probably have been devoured by so many zombies, leaving not even bones behind, by now.

Ye Fan arrived at the school gate but did not continue forward.

Instead, he slowly took a detour, going through a small alley to bypass the school gate.

He hurried toward the small house where Ji Yuyan was hiding.

He was afraid of being spotted by the zombies in the school again, which would be troublesome if they chased him.

If he had someone with him, it would be difficult to escape.

The door to the small house was tightly shut.

Ye Fan arrived at the door and pushed hard, only to find it seemed to be blocked by something.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Ye Fan knocked gently on the door, producing a muffled sound.

At this very moment!

Upon hearing the sound, Ji Yuyan was unsure what was knocking on her door, so she remained silent, curling up in the corner of the room.

She didn't even dare to breathe loudly.

"Hey, are you still inside? Yuyan, it's me, open the door." Ye Fan whispered.

"Ye... Ye Fan, is that you?" Ji Yuyan finally dared to speak slowly after hearing the familiar voice.

"It's me."

A look of excitement instantly appeared on Ji Yuyan's face. She quickly stood up from the corner and slowly moved away the heavy objects she had used to block the door.

"Wait... wait a second, right away!"

Ye Fan stood waiting outside the door while quickly scanning the area to see if any zombies were approaching.

Creak!

Finally, the door opened.

The moment Ji Yuyan saw Ye Fan, she immediately grabbed his hands and quickly checked his body to see if he was injured!

Her voice was very gentle, "Ye Fan, are you okay? You aren't hurt, are you?"

Because not long after he left, Ji Yuyan had heard bursts of zombie roars from the school, as well as the sound of thunder from an unknown source.

"I'm fine! That group of zombies is no match for me! Killing them is as easy as killing chickens, so how could I be hurt?"

Ye Fan slung his Star Blade over his shoulder, smiling confidently.

"That's good, that's good!" At this, a smile instantly appeared on Ji Yuyan's face, and she said repeatedly.

"By the way, what should we do now?"

"We gained a lot today, let's head back first."

"Okay!"

Ye Fan scanned the school gate one last time and saw no zombies rushing out. Then, he quickly took Ji Yuyan and took a detour, leaving this dangerous place.

For Ye Fan now, dealing with ordinary zombies was not a concern.

But who could have imagined that a master would be born among the zombie horde, and this master had reached the strength of a Tier 5?

With his current strength, it was still very difficult to defeat it. So far, he could only kill this Tier 5 zombie using the Lightning Talisman rewarded by the system.

And now, he had used one of the seven Lightning Talismans in his hand. Moreover, he didn't know how many zombies in Jiangcheng University had reached Tier 5 or even higher.

So he had to retreat first. Even if he wanted to come back and cause trouble again, he had to send Ji Yuyan back to a safe place first. Otherwise, given his strength, it would be difficult to protect her.

At the entrance of the residential area.

Not long after Ye Fan and Ji Yuyan left, six or seven people appeared, wandering on the road next to Ye Fan's house.

They were about to arrive at the front door of the house. The leader among them was Li Hao, the eldest son of the Li Family of Jiangcheng.

And guiding him in front were two familiar figures: A-Wei and Liu Yu.

Both of them were covered in wounds, clearly seriously injured. As for the others, they were people recruited by the Li Family with food as payment.

These people were all holding axes and following behind Li Hao and the others.

At this moment, one of them suddenly asked, "Um, Young Master, we've been searching this area for so long and still haven't found a trace of the Young Miss. Should we try another direction?"

"Yeah, that's right! Could the villain who kidnapped the Young Miss not even be in this area?"

"Don't rush! Keep looking. I don't believe we can't find them," Li Hao said slowly.

"I think the Young Miss must be nearby. We met that person near here yesterday, and it was also near here that we were separated from the Young Miss," Liu Yu said quickly.

At this time, A-Bin, who had been remaining cold and indifferent, also spoke up, "That's right! She should be nearby."

"Hmph! You two have the nerve to say that? If it weren't for me, you two would have already been reincarnated. If I can't find my sister, I certainly wouldn't mind sending you two down there myself."

A sneer appeared on Li Hao's face, and he snorted coldly, clearly somewhat angry, as he spoke with a threatening tone.

For a moment, Liu Yu and the other didn't dare to say another word. They both fell silent.

After walking a few steps, they arrived at the front door of the house.

Li Hao's eyes narrowed as he looked at the locked gate in front of him and said slowly, "Hmm, it's locked? Looks like there's someone inside!"

"Pry it open for me!" Li Hao stepped back a few paces and pointed at the iron gate.

"Yes!" The few people behind him replied instantly. Then, clutching the axes in their hands, they stepped forward and smashed them against the iron gate.

In an instant, a series of "bang, bang" sounds echoed throughout the street.
