6: Chapter 6 Is your brother home? I'm your bro.

Bang, bang, bang!

Ye Fan stood before the door where the noise originated, his right hand rapidly pounding on it.

He shouted, "Hey, hey, hey, is big bro home? Open up, I'm your brother."

Blue blood followed the severed arm as it fell, staining the door.

The Star Blade in Ye Fan's hand, however, remained perfectly clean.

In an instant,

a heart-wrenching roar erupted from inside the room.

The other arm was rapidly withdrawn.

Bang!

The door in front of Ye Fan was instantly smashed open by a massive force from within, creating a huge hole.

A creature with half its facial skin sagging over a rotted eye socket and slimy, decayed flesh hanging from its body roared as it lunged out of the room.

Blue blood continuously flowed from its severed stump as its other hand clawed the air, pouncing toward Ye Fan.

"Fuck!"

Ye Fan gripped the Star Blade with both hands and, putting every ounce of strength into it, delivered a fierce horizontal slash.

He struck directly at the pouncing zombie.

Pfft!

With a swift stroke, the zombie's head was separated from its body.

It stumbled and collapsed straight to the ground.

"Holy crap, it really does cut through iron like butter! This is too badass," Ye Fan praised, looking at the spotless Star Blade in his hand.

Ji Yuyan watched the scene of Ye Fan insta-killing a zombie, her eyes filled with shock.

"Could it be... could Ye Fan really be a child of destiny?" Ji Yuyan thought to herself.

At that moment,

Ye Fan looked at the decapitated zombie on the ground and showed a hint of disappointment, whispering,

"Sigh, what a shame. It didn't even form a zombie crystal core."
