172: Chapter 172 Rapid Ranking Improvement

Damn, are there really this many people?

Looking at the UI interface in front of him, Chen Yi's eyes widened in astonishment.

Setting aside those whose scores were lower than his.

Just the number of people with a higher ladder score than him was nearly 360,000!

The Sequence Competition was an event prepared for the Beast Taming Contest.

Generally, only Beast Tamer combinations of Tier 3 or above would participate.

And in the Dragon Kingdom, Beast Tamers of Tier 3 or above accounted for about one percent of the total population.

If the age limit of under 25 was added, that might be less than one in ten thousand.

Furthermore, the Sequence Competition was only held in Yanjing, not nationwide.

To be able to gather at least 360,000 people, the appeal of this event was evident!

Brother Chen Yi, how was it? How did I do?

Chu Feiyu looked at Chen Yi with an expectant expression.

Her large, watery eyes blinked, as if waiting for Chen Yi's praise.

Chen Yi smiled slightly, reached out to gently pat Chu Feiyu's head, and said tenderly, Very impressive! The opponent's strength should have been around Tier 3, Level 3, and you were still able to one-shot them. That's just like you!

Hearing this, Chu Feiyu laughed happily.

Hehehe~~~ Brother Chen Yi said I'm impressive, hehehe~~~

Watching this scene, The girls all pouted, feeling a bit unconvinced in their hearts.

What's up with that? They could also one-shot enemies easily; it was just that Chu Feiyu happened to be the one fighting this time!

They also had to get praise and head pats from Chen Yi—at this moment, this was the only thought in the minds of The girls.

Without any thought of resting, Chen Yi chose to continue matching for battles.

The strength of The girls was still too overpowered; they were crushing their way to victory, and they couldn't stop!

As the ladder score got higher and higher, the points gained from winning each match became fewer and fewer.

But this couldn't stop Chen Yi's pace of climbing the ranks at all!

In the blink of an eye, the ladder score had already exceeded 2000 points!

---

Just as Chen Yi was crazily rushing to gain points.

On the display screen in the waiting hall of the Beast Tamer Association, a name flashed by like a shooting star!

[Congratulations to Yi Chen for successfully defeating the Crown Prince of Ye City and entering the top 10,000!]

Damn, did someone else enter the top 10,000? This seems to be a newcomer too? How many have there been today?

The Beast Taming Contest is about to start soon. It seems the geniuses from those major factions have started climbing the rankings. Sigh, I feel like my 9527th place is no longer safe!

I estimate that in a while, when it's only one week away from the start of the Beast Taming Contest, that's when the competition will be the most intense!

I'm going to climb the rankings too! As long as I enter the top 10,000, I'll confess to my goddess!

A group of Beast Tamers discussed among themselves.

About an hour later, Bai Song and Yun Zhiyao came to the Beast Tamer Association together, wanting to confirm their respective bloodline grades.

After all, the matter of contracting was a lifelong event. If someone lied, then after contracting, they would be scammed out of everything!

Therefore, before contracting, it was very necessary to come to the Beast Tamer Association to do a complete aptitude test!

It was almost the same as a pre-marital checkup before transmigrating!

Are there so many people in the bloodline testing room?

Bai Song clicked his tongue inwardly, but soon showed a fawning expression. Zhi Yao, I'll immediately send someone to clear the area!

No need! Just waiting in the waiting hall is fine; it won't waste much time.

Yun Zhiyao refused. The factions in Yanjing are so complex. If we accidentally kick an iron plate later, that wouldn't be a good thing.

After all, she happened to encounter such a thing when she came to watch the competition last year.

An outsider noble clan kicked the Zheng family, the 37th-ranked Beast Tamer family in Yanjing, leading to an escalation of conflict between the two sides, and the noble clan's family business plummeted from then on.

It could be said they regretted it too late; kneeling and apologizing was useless!

In this kind of region, it's better to try not to stir up trouble.

Alright, I'll listen to you!

Bai Song found a seat and then beckoned to Yun Zhiyao. Come over here!

Seeing these two walking together, many Beast Tamers instantly felt like the sky had collapsed.

Their eyes were filled with envy and jealousy.

Damn! Yun Zhiyao really was picked up by Bai Song!

Sigh, this can be considered a match made in heaven, right? I'm dying of envy!

So annoying! What's the use of me having this A-grade talent? It would be better to give me One Heart, One Mind!

Looking at them, they must be here for an aptitude test. I guess they will probably form a contract tonight. I'm afraid there will be another big shot climbing the rankings quickly tomorrow—

About an hour later.

Another dazzling golden banner appeared at the very top of the display screen.

At the same time, a passionate voice broadcast echoed throughout the space!

[Congratulations to Yi Chen for successfully defeating Daifeiqie Nanshen 55 and entering the top 1,000!]

Damn? He entered the top 1,000 just like that?

I seem to remember that this Yi Chen just entered the top 10,000 an hour ago, right? And an hour later he's in the top 1,000? Deducting the matching and preparation time, doesn't that mean he one-shots his enemies every time?

That's not right! The top 1,000 must have at least 2500 ladder points, right? Are there that many people matching with him now?

Brother, you don't know about this! Since there are virtual monsters, there are naturally virtual Beast Tamers and virtual spirit beasts! If the matching system doesn't find anyone for over a minute, it will enter a battle against a virtual Beast Tamer, whose strength is about 130 percent of the average strength of all Beast Tamers and spirit beasts in that segment! If you are a local in this segment, you cancel and re-match after 50-something seconds, otherwise, it's hard to beat the virtual Beast Tamer, but the big shots rushing to gain points ignore that!

I didn't expect there to be even virtual Beast Tamers and virtual spirit beasts. If this could be put into the battle against monsters, how good would that be—

Having said that, since high-rank matches can be determined by matching time whether it's a virtual Beast Tamer, can't you cheese the points? For example, let a powerful companion go to low-rank matches to kill AI to increase ladder points, and then give them to yourself?

That won't work! Anyone can only match with the same opponent once a year; there's no possibility of grinding points! This Yi Chen is relying on his own strength to kill virtual Beast Tamers to grind points!

I see! It seems this guy might not have a problem entering the top 500!

---

The crowd discussed, all wearing expressions of awe.

After all, being able to rush into the top 1,000 in such a short time, his strength absolutely cannot be underestimated.

And for those big shots rushing the rankings, most of them had already reached the rank they wanted long ago.

Unless they were pushed down or encountered some great opportunity that significantly increased their strength.

Otherwise, few people would continue to challenge for higher rankings.

After all, with that time, it's better to cultivate affinity with The girls!
