5: Contact with homeless people and night walkers
Fang Yun thought for a while and decided to bring some essential exploration items and leave the Shelter to carefully explore the surrounding situation.
"Although there are indeed no signs of human activity around, what if there are Wanderers or Nightwalkers further away? Wouldn't the risk of this Shelter being exposed be very high?"
"Should I block off the part of the Shelter leading to the ground and then open a new exit to the ground from underground?"
"But in that case, if the ground exit isn't marked, it will be hard to find, and if it is marked, it will be easy to be discovered. Isn't this just going in circles?"
Fang Yun frowned, feeling that if there really were Wanderers or Nightwalkers around, the situation would be a bit tricky.
Then, he pinched the space between his eyebrows, "Forget it, there will be a way when the time comes, let's talk about it then. First, let's explore the surrounding situation, otherwise, thinking more is useless."
Fang Yun put down his hand and suddenly remembered that he hadn't made the yarn mixer.
"Make the yarn mixer, and in the future, small batches of thread will be produced using the yarn mixer."
No sooner said than done.
After spending some time, Fang Yun successfully made the yarn mixer, and then put the extra materials back into the box.
"Well, this should be enough for now. There shouldn't be anything else to do, let's grab some things and prepare to set off."
Fang Yun took out the iron sword, iron axe, iron pickaxe, and iron shovel from the box, and also took out some wood, iron ingots, and sand, finally bringing the water bucket and the last few pieces of bread.
"That's it. Let's go."
"Oh, right. Almost forgot to set the respawn point."
Fang Yun was too lazy to use commands, so he just used his mind to click on the bed in the corner and set the respawn point in the Shelter.
"Okay, now I can really set off."

Fang Yun climbed up from the underground Shelter along the ladder, and then dug out the stone that was previously used to conceal the entrance to the passage on the rock.
Then, Fang Yun walked out of the passage, and with a backhand, put the stone back in its original place.
"Let's use stone blocks as markers, after all, stone blocks are square and easy to recognize. Let's put an extra block of thickness."
Put down the stone blocks and make a mark.
Fang Yun suddenly complained, "It shouldn't be that unlucky, someone just happens to come over when I leave, and that person just happens to discover this square stone."
"And then, that person is also very curious why this stone is so strange, and then, he also has nothing better to do than blast open this stone to see what's behind it."
"No way, no way, no one is really that unlucky, right?"
After Fang Yun finished speaking, he smiled contemptuously and started his self-performance, "Fortunately, I have materialized the stone blocks, so I don't have to worry about it turning into something like a drop item from a game after being destroyed."
"Moreover, to be safe, I also put three blocks of thickness of stone inside the passage. As long as this rock is not completely blown away, there is no need to worry about the passage leading to the Shelter being exposed."
"The most important point," Fang Yun raised a finger and posed as if someone was really listening to him (acting cool).
"I also blocked the entrance to the passage leading from the Shelter to the ground with stone blocks!"
"Thus, it's foolproof!"
Fang Yun waited quietly for three seconds, and the surroundings were silent, with no one to applaud. Of course, this was normal.
After finishing his self-performance, Fang Yun withdrew his finger and returned to normal.
Holding the iron sword, Fang Yun decided to go behind the rock first to see what was going on.
After walking along the rock formations for a while, Fang Yun successfully found a small path in the gaps between the rock formations.
The path was initially narrow, just wide enough for one person, but after walking a few dozen steps, it suddenly opened up.
There was nothing new behind the rock formations, still rocks... and wasteland.
But soon, something new appeared!
Fang Yun was walking boredly along the edge of the rock formations when suddenly, he vaguely heard a few gunshots.
Fang Yun instantly became energetic. He pricked up his ears and listened carefully for a while, confirming that gunshots were coming from a distance.
Then, Fang Yun took out sand blocks to elevate himself and looked in the direction of the sound.
Although it was a bit blurry, Fang Yun still saw a black shadow at the end of his vision. Against the gradually darkening sky, there were some flickering points of light within the black shadow.
A few more gunshots came, and this time Fang Yun was sure.
"It seems there is a Badlands town in the distance in that direction, and there are some people in that town currently engaged in a gunfight."
Fang Yun thought for a while and decided to go join the fun.
With the iron shovel, he could quickly dig sand. If he encountered danger, he could always dig three and fill one, which would provide a certain level of safety.
Moreover, the speed of digging sand was very fast, and others would only think that Fang Yun had installed some kind of excavation-specialized prosthetic.
"As long as I don't expose my abilities in front of others, such as the ability to dig blocks and place blocks, then at least before I gain a certain reputation, I should not be noticed by anyone with ulterior motives."
Thinking of this, Fang Yun made up his mind. He put away all the sand he had used to elevate himself and then quickly rushed towards the direction of the gunshots. Of course, Fang Yun's fastest speed could only reach 10 meters/second now, so he couldn't be that fast.
After running for a short while, Fang Yun could see the town where the gunfight was happening more clearly.
If Fang Yun was using Steve's skin, no matter how far away it was, as long as his vision was not obstructed, he could see it clearly.
But now Fang Yun was using the "Fang Yun" skin, so his vision was only 5.2, or rather 1.2? In short, it was the level of a normal person. Therefore, only when the distance to the town was reduced to a certain extent could he see clearly.
Fang Yun's pace gradually slowed down. He raised his shield and quietly approached an abandoned house on the outermost edge of the town.
Fang Yun dug a hole in one side of the house wall. He crawled into the room through this hole. Then, with a backhand, he patched up the hole.
Then, Fang Yun looked out of the room through a small window.
The sky became darker, and the wind and sand increased, as if a sandstorm was coming.
Under the dim sky, Fang Yun found two rooms facing each other about a dozen meters away. In both rooms, fire flickered continuously, accompanied by the sound of gunshots.
Fang Yun shifted his perspective and looked around the two rooms, and found that there were several cars parked next to each room.
"Based on the style of the vehicles and the logos on the cars, it should be members of a certain Wanderer family and a group of Nightwalkers who are exchanging fire."
Fang Yun dug a hole in the opposite direction of the gunfire and slipped out of the room, then patched up the hole as before.
"Actually, it probably doesn't matter if I don't patch up the hole. No one in this world has the time to pay attention to such trivial matters, but before I develop, the fewer traces I leave, the better."
After muttering softly, Fang Yun circled around to the rear of the gunfight scene from the opposite direction he came from.
Fang Yun cautiously poked his head out from behind a wall to observe. As soon as he poked his head out, he saw the appearance of the two sides fighting.
"Indeed, 5 Wanderers and 6 Nightwalkers."
Just as Fang Yun saw the Wanderers and the Nightwalkers, the System's voice also sounded in his mind.
"Ding! Sufficient elements detected. <Module: cyberpunk 1.0> acquired."
