26: Chapter 26 My sister-in-law is very sincere…
After arranging things, Qin Feng turned around, bent down, and grabbed Ji Boxiao by the hair, dragging him like a dead wild dog, and strode out of the courtyard gate.
The night wind was biting, carrying a nauseating scent of blood.
Qin Feng dragged Ji Boxiao by his long hair with one hand, walking through the silent, deserted alleys of the Servant District.
"Shhh..." Ji Boxiao's body scraped continuously against the rough bluestone path, making a teeth-gritting sound.
Bumping along the way, he left a long, shocking trail of blood on the ground behind him.
Lights flickered on in a few courtyards along the way, but after hearing the chilling commotion, those Middle-tier Servants immediately bolted their doors tighter, not even daring to breathe loudly.
In Servant District 666, keeping your nose out of other people's business was the way to live a long life.
Before long, Qin Feng dragged Ji Boxiao to the gate of the Ji family's courtyard.
Without the slightest hesitation, Qin Feng couldn't even be bothered to knock; he simply raised his foot and kicked the courtyard gate fiercely!
"BOOM!" With a loud crash, the two heavy wooden doors were kicked off their hinges by the immense force, slamming heavily into the courtyard and kicking up a cloud of dust.
Such earth-shattering noise immediately woke up those who were fast asleep.
"Which goddamn bastard is it! Coming to mourn in the middle of the night, daring to kick my door!"
Accompanied by a burst of furious cursing, the main room's door was shoved open violently.
Wu Mengmeng rushed out with disheveled hair, holding a Spirit Stone lamp that emitted a faint glow.
Tonight, Wu Mengmeng had clearly just crawled out of bed, wearing only a thin, translucent silk nightgown as delicate as cicada wings, revealing a large expanse of snow-white, provocative scenery that dazzled the eyes under the moonlight.
Her willow-leaf eyebrows arched in anger, and she was ready to unleash a torrent of abuse, but when she saw the tall, upright figure standing outside the courtyard gate, she froze instantly.
"Little Feng?"
Wu Mengmeng's watery peach-blossom eyes widened abruptly; the anger in her eyes vanished without a trace, replaced by undisguised surprise and allure.
But when her gaze moved down along Qin Feng's hand and saw Ji Boxiao, who was being held like a dead dog, covered in blood and of unknown fate, her mouth opened slightly, and she gasped.
Qin Feng flicked his hand, tossing Ji Boxiao into the center of the courtyard like trash.
With a dull "thud," Ji Boxiao's body rolled twice on the ground, stopping right at Wu Mengmeng's feet.
"Ji Boxiao, he..."
Qin Feng brushed the dust off his hands with an expressionless face, just about to explain the situation.
"Oh, forget about that trash!"
Who would have thought that Wu Mengmeng wouldn't even spare a glance at Ji Boxiao on the ground, and even stepped back in disgust, afraid that the dirty blood on him would soil her delicate feet.
She placed the Spirit Stone lamp on a stone table nearby and walked up to him quickly, swaying her water-snake-like waist.
"Little Feng, you don't know, I've been thinking about you these past few days; you came at just the right time!"
"I have something to tell you in a moment..."
Wu Mengmeng's voice was sweet and coquettish, carrying an allure that could make one's bones melt.
She reached out with her soft, boneless hands and, with extreme naturalness, wrapped her arms around Qin Feng's sturdy arm, rubbing against it gently.
A scent of body fragrance, mixed with the sweetness of a ripe peach, drilled straight into his nose.
Qin Feng frowned slightly, pointed at Ji Boxiao on the ground, and said in a cold tone, "He climbed over my courtyard wall just now, attempting to commit an illicit act. I injured him in self-defense. If you want to stand up for him, you can report it to the Management Hall."
"Stand up for him? Tee-hee-hee..."
Wu Mengmeng seemed to have heard a huge joke, covering her mouth and giggling, her trembling frame making the thin gauze nightgown practically useless.
"Little Feng, you're so amazing now; I realized you were amazing that day!!! What do you take me for? How could I possibly stand up for him."
A flash of ruthlessness and determination crossed Wu Mengmeng's eyes. "As long as he's not dead, he's still unconscious right now; it's the perfect time for us to talk."
As she spoke, she kicked away Ji Boxiao's arm that was blocking the path and dragged Qin Feng by the arm toward the main room.
"It's so windy outside, don't stand here. Come into the house; I have some excellent aged Huadiao wine in my room. Let's go in and drink while we chat. Your sturdy muscles must have looked so imposing when you were hitting him, right? Tell me all about it..."
Wu Mengmeng's gaze was lingering, making no effort to hide her desire and intention to win over the man in front of her.
In a dog-eat-dog place like the Servant District, a woman who wants to live comfortably must rely on the strong.
Ji Boxiao was a choice she had made when she had no options, and he was absurdly useless. Wu Mengmeng had long wanted to find another backer, and the currently rising star, Qin Feng, was undoubtedly the best candidate.
Qin Feng allowed her to drag him along without resistance, only a faint, imperceptible cold smile curling at the corner of his mouth.
The two crossed the threshold and walked into Wu Mengmeng's bedroom, which was decorated and filled with the scent of cosmetics.
"Thud." Wu Mengmeng closed the door tightly behind her, even carefully bolting it.
The charcoal brazier in the room was still burning, giving off a gentle warmth.
She let go of Qin Feng, turned, and walked to a rosewood cabinet, bending down to pull out an exquisite wine pot and two jade wine cups from the bottom shelf.
With the bending motion, the already thin nightgown tightened instantly, outlining her stunning waist-to-hip ratio vividly; it was enough to be the death of any man.
"Little Feng, sit down."
Wu Mengmeng carried the wine pot to the table, personally poured two cups of wine, then picked up one and walked gracefully toward Qin Feng.
She didn't sit on the chair but instead turned to the side...
"Little Feng, how about we find a way to kill him? I'm annoyed just looking at him now..."
Wu Mengmeng breathed like an orchid, lowering her voice, her tone filled with a deadly temptation and implication.
"I know where he hides the servant coins he extorts... As long as he's dead, from now on, my body, and everything in this room, can all be yours..."
Qin Feng sat in the chair, feeling the warmth and softness in his arms, yet his eyes remained as clear as water, without the slightest hint of being lost.
He understood the minds of these women who struggled at the bottom all too well.
"Sister-in-law, that's quite the scheme you've got there. It's clearly you who despises Ji Boxiao; why tell me all this? It makes it sound like I'm the one plotting murder for money."
Qin Feng took the wine cup but didn't drink; instead, he played with it in his hand, looking at the charming woman in his arms with a half-smile.
"If you want me to do things for you, this amount of sincerity is probably not enough, right?"
Hearing this, Wu Mengmeng's body stiffened slightly, but she quickly returned to normal.
She tilted her head back, a bewitching light flashing in her watery peach-blossom eyes, and leaned her red lips to Qin Feng's ear, saying with a trembling voice, "Then... what if I told you, I am extremely sincere?"
"That would be interesting."
After a moment's consideration, Qin Feng grabbed Wu Mengmeng's mischievous hand and downed the wine in the cup in one gulp, his voice sounding exceptionally domineering in the quiet room: "Let me see just how deep your sincerity goes, Sister-in-law!!!"
