3: Chapter 3 Just asking quietly, isn't my sister-in-law beautiful?!

Qin Feng's heart instantly jumped to his throat, and he stiffly raised his head.

Under the moonlight, a burly man, nine feet tall, with a face full of flesh and a waist as thick as a water bucket, was standing at the alley entrance, staring down at him intensely.

The big man was wearing a black silk robe, with a red copper token hanging from his waist, representing his status as a steward.

His eyes, the size of copper bells, were bloodshot, revealing a cruel and cold light.

It's over. The timing was just right; he had just climbed out of the courtyard wall and bumped right into the returning Steward Wang Taian.

Qin Feng felt a "buzz" in his brain, and it went completely blank.

"Stop!"

Steward Wang Taian shouted coldly, his voice like a thunderclap, making people's eardrums ache.

His palm-leaf-sized hand suddenly reached out, grabbing Qin Feng by the collar, forcibly lifting his entire body off the ground, his feet dangling in the air.

"In the middle of the night, what are you doing sneaking around the corner of the backyard?! You little Menial Laborer, are you tired of living?!"

Steward Wang Taian's eyes were fierce. His other hand was slowly clenching into a fist, his sandbag-sized fist creaking. The next moment, it seemed it would swing, whistling through the air to crush Qin Feng's head.

Just at this moment, from the courtyard separated by a wall, Yang Liu's coquettish and strongly impatient voice suddenly came:

"It's a Menial Laborer buying medicine! He doesn't know the rules, buying some crappy xiongfeng powder in the middle of the night, and he even dared to run to the backyard to knock on the door looking for someone! I just told him to get lost; what, he hasn't left yet?!"

Outside the wall, Steward Wang Taian was stunned, and the Killing Intent on his face suddenly stalled.

Inside the courtyard, Yang Liu's voice rose again, carrying a hint of sweet urging: "Taian, is that you back? Come over here quickly, I have something to tell you, don't dawdle with some low-class Menial Laborer..."

That one "Taian" was called with such twists and turns that it instantly dissolved most of the violent aura on Steward Wang Taian.

"You idiot who ran to the wrong door!!"

Steward Wang Taian glared at Qin Feng, a trace of disgust flashing in his eyes.

As he disdainfully let go, Qin Feng fell into the muddy water with a "thump."

Immediately after, Steward Wang Taian raised his big foot, wearing a heavy boot, and kicked Qin Feng hard in the lower abdomen.

"Bang!"

The kick was powerful and heavy; Qin Feng was kicked sliding more than a zhang away in the mud, clutching his stomach as cold sweat broke out, his internal organs feeling as if they had shifted.

"Next time you dare to wander around my courtyard, I'll take your dog life!"

Steward Wang Taian snorted coldly, straightened his clothes, turned around, and strode towards the front door, his face full of lewd smiles: "Liuer, I'm coming!"

The footsteps gradually faded away.

Qin Feng curled up on the ground in the corner, taking a full half-cup of tea's time to recover before struggling to stand up.

The severe pain in his abdomen made him unable to straighten his waist, but he dared not stay for a moment, enduring the pain as he fled towards the edge of Servant District 666.

As the cold wind blew, Qin Feng realized that his back had long been soaked with cold sweat.

'That was truly a walk in front of the Ghost Gate...'

As he walked, he echoed the web novels he had read in his past life, secretly thinking: 'I know the rules. Wait until I rise from that mediocrity. A mayfly flapping its wings can also shake the sky!!!'

Yang Liu's seduction and Steward Wang Taian's ferocity, everything intertwined, making Qin Feng deeply realize the cruelty of this world.

If he continued to be a low-class Menial Laborer, sooner or later, he would die in obscurity.

As he thought about this, he suddenly touched his empty chest, and Qin Feng's footsteps instantly became incredibly heavy.

He didn't buy the medicine, the Trading Shop was completely closed, and it was absolutely impossible to buy "xiongfeng powder" tonight.

Thinking about going back empty-handed to face that mad dog, Ji Boxiao, his heart sank straight down.

But what other way was there? Going to the Trading Shop again would definitely mean death, while going back wouldn't necessarily result in being beaten to death...

There was no need to consider or hesitate between the two.

Carrying an anxious mood, like walking to the execution ground, Qin Feng finally walked back to the familiar, dilapidated courtyard.

Taking a deep breath, Qin Feng closed his eyes, his hands trembling as he pushed open the crumbling wooden door.

"Creak—"

He had already prepared to welcome the storm-like scolding and clubs.

However, the courtyard was dead silent.

There was no roaring from Ji Boxiao, no sound of things being smashed.

Qin Feng opened his eyes and was stunned. The courtyard was empty, with only the cold moonlight spilling onto the ground; Ji Boxiao was not in the courtyard.

"Splash..."

A slight rubbing sound came from the corner.

Qin Feng turned to look. Beside the moss-covered well, Wu Mengmeng was sitting on a small stool, washing clothes by the faint moonlight.

She had her back to Qin Feng. Due to the bending motion, her simple coarse linen clothes clung tightly to her body, outlining breathtaking curves.

Unlike the high-and-mighty, seductive allure of Yang Liu, what Wu Mengmeng exuded was a kind of primitive, voluptuous, mature sister aura from the marketplace.

The water splashes from washing clothes wet Wu Mengmeng's back, waist, and hips. The fabric clung to her skin, half-transparent, revealing a deadly temptation under the moonlight.

"Gulp..."

Qin Feng stared blankly and subconsciously swallowed another mouthful of saliva. Having received continuous visual impacts tonight, he felt his fragile nerves were about to snap.

Seeming to hear the sound of the door opening, Wu Mengmeng stopped the movements in her hands.

She turned around and shook the water droplets off her hands. Because of the intense rubbing of the clothes, fine beads of sweat were oozing on her forehead, and a few strands of hair stuck to her cheeks, looking exceptionally charming.

When she saw Qin Feng standing at the doorway empty-handed, Wu Mengmeng's eyes flickered slightly, but she did not show any surprise.

"Why are you standing there? Did you leave your soul outside?"

Wu Mengmeng's voice was kept very low, lacking the shrewishness she had when facing Ji Boxiao in the room earlier, instead carrying a hint of strange softness.

"Sister... sister-in-law..."

Qin Feng stammered a bit, subconsciously looking around, "Where is... Brother Ji? I... the Trading Shop was closed, I didn't buy the medicine, he..."

"Alright, don't look for him."

Wu Mengmeng stood up, wiped her hands on her apron, and walked towards Qin Feng with a slightly lazy gait.

A scent mixed with the fragrance of soap locusts and a woman's body scent drilled into his nose.

"You were late coming back, that piece of trash couldn't wait and ran off to get the medicine himself."

As she spoke, Wu Mengmeng curled her lips, a thick disgust flashing in her eyes: "For someone like him, do you really believe that eating some crappy medicine will make him work?!"

Hearing that Ji Boxiao was not there, Qin Feng's tense nerves finally completely relaxed, and he let out a long, turbid breath.

As long as he survived tonight, he would deal with tomorrow's matters tomorrow.

"That's good... that's good..." Qin Feng muttered to himself.

However, Wu Mengmeng had no intention of backing away; instead, she moved a step closer.

The distance between them was so close they could almost touch each other's nose tips.

Qin Feng realized that the look in Wu Mengmeng's eyes when she looked at him was rippling like autumn water, with some long-repressed desire hidden deep in her eyes.

"Little Fengzi..."

Wu Mengmeng's voice suddenly became extremely soft, even carrying a hint of a tremor.

She slightly lifted her chin, bit her lower lip, and her watery eyes stared intensely at Qin Feng's eyes...

"Sister-in-law... you... do you have something to say?" Qin Feng felt a bit unnerved being looked at like that, and a sudden ominous yet exciting premonition rose in his heart.

The surroundings were silent and empty, with only the occasional chirping of autumn insects.

"Now there are only the two of us in the courtyard, tell sister-in-law the truth..."

After a few seconds of quiet atmosphere, Wu Mengmeng paused before softly asking: "We've lived together for so long, in your heart, have you ever thought about doing... that... with me?"
