171: Are you really an evil cultivator?

Stepping steadily into the cemetery, there was not a trace of ghostly or Yin Qi within.

It looked as though no ghosts had been born here.

Zhao Haobing and the others clearly knew this as well, and couldn't help but step forward to ask, “Comrades, look at this... This cemetery doesn't seem to have given birth to any ghosts...”

“Please show some respect, Comrades,” Ning Haocheng emphasized. “Those aren't ghosts; they're Heroic Souls. But honestly, I'm quite puzzled too. Ghosts pop up everywhere outside, but here, there isn't a single trace of ghostly Qi. It shouldn't be like this! It really shouldn't be like this!”

Chu Mo ignored the comment and instead looked around the front.

There were many weeds growing around, indicating that no one had tended to the area for a long time.

“Generally, martyrs' cemeteries have night watchmen. Where are they?”

Chu Mo's sudden question caught Zhao Haobing and the others off guard for a moment.

“Forget it! Asking you is pointless.”

Seeing that everyone looked clueless, he didn't bother to press further.

With a flip of his palm, the Human Emperor Flag appeared, and gusts of Yin wind howled, causing the temperature to drop sharply.

Zhao Haobing and the others vaguely sensed something and all looked forward.

“The Human Emperor Flag can be used like this?”

Cao Qing, who had been a quiet presence, couldn't help but step forward and examine the Human Emperor Flag next to Chu Mo.

Chu Mo didn't pay attention, focusing solely on activating the Human Emperor Flag to gather the slumbering souls nearby.

Soon, tall figures appeared one by one in the cemetery.

Their eyes were deep, and their faces bore the marks of weathering.

It was strange; although they were ghosts, they showed no fear at all.

“Little one, here! Here!”

One of the leading ethereal figures waved at them.

Chu Mo heard this and walked forward.

“Little one, let me ask you something: Which country is this?”

After asking this question, Chu Mo could clearly see that these tall Heroic Souls were a bit restless and uneasy, evidently worried that the land beneath their feet no longer belonged to the descendants of Yan Huang.

“Dragon Country! This is the Dragon Country. We won, and it was you who defended this land beneath our feet!”

Upon hearing this, they became excited.

Their efforts had not been in vain.

However, just as they were rejoicing, Chu Mo interrupted, “Although the Dragon Country has stabilized, spiritual anomalies are now resurfacing, and you should be able to sense your current state.”

Their own state needed no further explanation.

They all stared at Chu Mo silently, their Aura full of power.

“You summoned us for a reason; just say it directly. Don't dawdle like a timid young woman!”

“Now, supernatural incidents have occurred all over the world. We want you to manage those evil spirits!”

“Us manage?” they asked, puzzled. “Isn't that the King of Hell's business? How can we manage them?”

Chu Mo smiled and said, “It's simple: I'll confer upon you the title of Yin God, making you Yin Soldiers to patrol the mortal realm and capture the unruly evil spirits!”

“This...” Everyone looked at each other, all a bit bewildered.

They truly had no experience in being Yin Soldiers who caught evil spirits.

“Just feel free to act; we've got everything covered,” Chu Mo gave Ning Haocheng a look.

Ning Haocheng, on the other hand, was very easygoing. He walked up to them, pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, and lit one for each of them.

“Come, come, everyone, 21st-century cigarettes! Have one! Get energized first!”

Gray Qi flowed around the cigarettes.

Before they could react, the cigarettes were already in their hands.

This scene left Zhao Haobing and the others wide-eyed.

Hey! No!

Others come to the cemetery to offer incense, and you come to the cemetery to offer incense too.

But what's with these cigarettes?

“This...” They looked at the cigarettes in their hands, momentarily stunned.

Ghosts could consume the Qi of offerings; after consuming it, the offerings would become bland and tasteless, like chewing wax—this they knew.

But could ghosts also smoke?

As the scent of smoke wafted, the old chain smoker in the group couldn't help but take a puff, instantly feeling his soul body strengthen, and the taste was superb.

“This smoke... this smoke is strong!”

“Right?” Ning Haocheng said with a grin. “I added a lot of ingredients to this smoke; it's very precious. I don't usually let just anyone smoke it.”

Seeing this, the other Yin Souls also tentatively put it in their mouths and took a deep drag.

Everyone was here to offer incense, so what if they took a puff? Even if the instructor came, it wouldn't matter.

Who said cigarettes weren't incense?!

Ten minutes later.

Smoke swirled around, and a group of people sat in front of the cemetery, puffing away, with occasional clinking of wine glasses.

Cao Qing sat in front of a tombstone, muttering dazedly, “Something's not right! Weren't we supposed to establish the Yin Division with them? How did it turn into a picnic now?”

Chu Mo casually tossed a crumbled Soul Condensing Pill into a wine bottle, used spiritual power to dissolve it, and then handed it to Ning Haocheng.

Ning Haocheng was not ambiguous either; he carried the wine and clinked glasses with them.

“Come, come! Tonight, none of you are leaving; there'll be plenty of food and drink!”

“Hey, hey, hey! Uncle Li, what are you doing? Even if you can't drink, don't feed the fish! Bottoms up!”

“Uncle Zheng, don't just focus on eating; have a sip. This wine is definitely better than any on the market!”

“Brother Wang, don't just stand there; fill it up, chug it, yes, just like that!”

“.......”

Ning Haocheng was indeed worthy of being a Necromancer.

His way of communicating with ghosts was simple, direct, and crude, almost like he had succubus-like attributes, though it seemed to only work on ghosts.

Chu Mo sat beside Cao Qing, watching Zhao Haobing and the other Investigation Bureau staff members grilling skewers, and couldn't help but shake his head.

These once formidable Ghost Controllers had now all become barbecue chefs.

However, their skills were surprisingly good, and they were all working very hard, showing no signs of slacking off.

After watching for a while, Chu Mo finally spoke.

“Are you very confused by the current situation?”

Cao Qing nodded.

“They've been slumbering for many years and have only just been awakened by us. Their strength is definitely somewhat insufficient, so establishing the Yin Division will have to wait.”

Chu Mo's idea was very simple.

Either don't do it, or if you do, do it perfectly.

The first step in establishing the Yin Division was to directly take on a Ghost King, and to end the battle with an overwhelming start.

Only then could the authority of the Yin Division be established, and its voice in the ghost world would be significant.

Otherwise, no ghost would take this newly established Yin Division seriously!

“Not enough strength?” Cao Qing bit the tip of his index finger in confusion.

“Then if we take them to Yingzhou, will it enhance their resentment and achieve the effect of rapidly increasing their strength?”
